KIEHL'S TURMERIC & CRANBERRY SEED ENERGIZING RADIANCE MASQUE {REVIEW}

I've made a commitment to my skin this year to be more active on the face mask front, not that I don't mask, but just not religiously on a weekly basis.
Despite getting top marks for my weekly exfoliation I have decided to explore some different mask options to create a collection of face masks for different requirements.
I generally reach for a hydrating-leave on type mask to immediately replenish and nourish post exfoliation.
(I tend to exfoliate in the evening and then apply my serum and night cream or when I use a hydrating mask I will just massage the excess into my skin and sleep with the mask on)

Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energising Radiance Masque

To start off the New Year and my new commitment I bought rather a pricey mask from the American brand Kiehl's.
One of my favourite exfoliators is the Kiehl's Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion
and I thought this and Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque would make a lovely combo.
After all...your skin can never have too much skin radiance or energy!

Formulated with Cranberry Extract, an antioxidant rich in resveratrol, Cranberry Seeds for gently exfoliation and Turmeric Extract for its anti-inflammatory properties, this mask sounded promising as it contains interesting and known ingredients proven to brighten and energise the skin
Both the packaging and the product instantly give you that uplifting feeling before you even apply to the face, due to its bright colouring.
As the mask is energising and invigorating its advisable to use in the daytime.

Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energising Radiance Masque

It's very straight forward to use...just apply after your usual cleansing & Toning routine in a visible layer all over the face and neck, but avoid the eye area.
Expect this mask to tighten and dry on the skin quickly (I experienced a slight, yet pleasant, stimulating, warming sensation on my skinAfter around 5-10 minutes rinse off with water and follow with your usual daytime products. This mask can be used up to 3 times in a week.
Formulated to be a rinse off mask, the micronized Cranberry seeds kick in to gently exfoliate the skin while massaging the mask off, but for me the effect was rather disappointing, as the seeds really were not abundant enough to have any useful effect in terms of exfoliating.
Despite this,the Cranberry and Turmeric Energizing Mask was enjoyable to use and instantly gave a brighter, healthier and less fatigued appearance to my skin and was pretty close to giving an "Instant Facial" appearance and this could well be one to have a permanent place in my new arsenal of face masks for 2017.
