SUNDAY SAMPLE -ATTIMO L'EAU FLORLE BY SALVATORE FERRAGAMO {REVIEW}

Attimo L'Eau Florale

I have for this past week been wearing Attimo L'Eau Florale by Salvatore Ferragamo.
Now you may connect the name more to fine leather handbags and wonderful shoes
 rather than fragrances?

Born the 11th of 14 children in Bonito Italy in 1898, Salvatore Ferragamo, the “shoemaker to the stars”, found his calling at an early age and apprenticed to a shoemaker in Naples when he was only nine years old . He immigrated to Boston Massachusetts when he was 14 where he worked with one of his brothers in a cowboy boot factory. He moved to California shortly thereafter and it was here that Ferragamo found success. He initially opened a shop for repair and made-to-measure shoes which soon became popular among the celebrity class and eventually led to a job designing footwear for the cinema. In 1927 after 13 years in the United States Ferragamo returned to Italy and settled in Florence. It was at this time Ferragamo began to fashion shoes for the wealthiest and most powerful women of the century. Though Ferragamo passed away in 1960 the Ferragamo company has remained in family hands and has expanded its operations to include luxury shoes, bags, eyewear, silk accessories, watches, a ready-to-wear clothing line and perfumes.

There is no doubt that his leather goods and clothing are beautiful and no doubt he has a loyal fan base, but as for this fragrance it's very much the same old, same old and nothing to set my world on fire, but after saying that I have been around rather a long time and there are only so many different fragrance classifications one can create and I have been exposed to them all,
hence my indifference to another pretty designer fragrance with a floral bouquet and a woody base .

Top notes include lotus flower and nashi pear
Middle notes incorporate a floral blend of peony, gardenia and frangipani.
The base offers patchouli, cedar and a trail of musk.

BON VOYAGE

Finally it's arrived...only one more big sleep and I will off on my months trip overseas.
The last time I went away for a whole month was 20yrs ago to the UK for Christmas, since then I have never had the luxury of such a long holiday, until now!
I will be visiting the UK, mainly Manchester and London and I'm also sneaking in a 3 day visit to Paris. My bags are packed full of warm clothes like jackets, boots,scarves, gloves and even a beanie all of which rarely see the light of day back in sunny Durbs.....

You can always follow my adventures via
