SUNDAY SAMPLE

As a reminder TATA HARPER make products with 100% non-synthetic,
nontoxic ingredients that are found in nature.
They also have the Farm to Face promise with:
No outsourcing
No shortcuts
They do it all themselves with their own people on their our own farm
in Vermont.

 TATA HARPER
facials are one of my favourite facials to have meaning that I
have previously experienced the

TATA HARPER
RESURFACING MASK

This is a glow-giving treatment that instantly restores radiance to skin.
Best for blocked pores, dull, or rough skin.
So I'm keen to give this treatment a try at home and I may include
it as part of a mid week self care mini facial and I will report back
to you with my full review next Sunday.

30 April 2023

SUNDAY SAMPLE

 This week I'm going to try out these 2 deluxe size fragrance samples,
both of which if I remember correctly, were a part of the Skins Cosmetics
beauty box.
I will post the one review next Sunday and the other on the following
Tuesday in the run up to Mother's Day.

~~~~~~
I have reviewed a couple of Byredo fragrance samples previously,
neither of which were to my liking, so let's see how I enjoy the
BYREDO
GYPSY WATER
which is classified as a citrusy/woody.
Containing some of my favourite top notes of
Bergamot, Juniper Berries, Lemon, Pepper and base notes of
 Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla.
The 2nd fragrance is
Angels Share
 by
Kilian Paris
 and to be honest I'm doubtful that this dark, oak, cognac fragrance
will be to my liking,
however I will give you feedback next Sunday.
9 April 2023
SUNDAY SAMPLE
Next Sunday I will post my views on the
 Avène Gentle Exfoliating Gel
As a huge fan of exfoliators for both the body and the face,
this Gentle Exfoliating Gel for the face sounds a perfect product
for those times when your skin is needing a mini break from
the more active alternatives or if you skin is sensitive.
Even compromised and sensitive skins benefit from a gentle exfoliation
yet it all depends on finding the one right one for your skin and that
can sometimes prove difficult, but of all the brands
Avène would be one I would trust more than many others, so I'm
looking forward to putting this to the test this coming week...
Don't forget to check back next Sunday to discover what I
had to say about this product.
12 March 2023
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I'm on the hunt for a different cream/milky cleanser and I thought
 I would give this
GEL-TO-MILK Cleanser a try from the local brand
SKOON
and what a better way to try than in the form of a sample.
Often a sample quantity is enough for me to judge whether I like
 it or not.
Having reviewed two of SKOON'S products previously, I have high
hopes for this one, as the other two I can highly recommend.
If you would like to read those reviews click on the links below
Check back next Sunday to see how I got on with my 3rd
 SKOON skincare product review.
12 February 2023
SUNDAY SAMPLE
It's been a while since I've posted a Sunday Sample post and as a
 reminder, its where I pick a sample, from the many that I have,
and I use it for the week and report back to you on my findings etc.
on the following Sunday.
The types of samples will always be of products that I can give you
 quick feedback on, so it's generally confined to fragrances, cleansers,
face masks and other quick use products and it will never be
 a long term use treatment product i.e. serums, moisturisers
 or night creams etc.
Next Sunday I will report back on this RITUALS
The Ritual Of Ayurveda
Nourishing Rich Body Oil
Of all the Rituals this is my favourite and I have many products in this
 range and they do the best Home Fragrance products.
This 30ml size that I received in my recent Advent Calendar should
be a couple of applications and I cannot wait to try it out...
So pop back next week and in the meantime here are my
previous reviews on some Rituals products.
23 October 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 I have a back story as to how I obtained these 2 samples from the
French Super Luxe brand
Sisley
It was many months ago that I applied online to have a couple of
free samples posted to my "Kiddiewinks" UK address and it was only
recently that they, via him, made it to my hands here in South Africa.
This method of sampling is often used in the UK and it's how I
discovered the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, which has led
me to purchase 2 now, as it's become one of my favourite
 high-end foundations.
I also have recommended to a couple of readers and like me they
fell in love, so sample marketing, if executed correctly really works.
So this coming week I will try out both of these samples and revert back
with my thoughts.
 Black Rose Cream Mask
I have heard wonderful things about this "Instant Youth" face mask
and cannot wait to try it and this was the reason I submitted
my sample request.
Izia la Nuit
is one of the many fragrance offerings that Sisley have and
it was an extra sample that arrived and I didn't complain,
as its perfect for a Sunday Sample post.
25 September 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 I've been on a bit of a roll during September with my
SUNDAY SAMPLE
posts and especially with CLARINS samples.
I will be trying out this deluxe 30ml size
EXFOLIATING BODY SCRUB FOR SMOOTH SKIN
over the next couple of weeks.
Being that person that exfoliates weekly I need to give this product
longer than a week, so expect to see my full review in the
 next 3-4 weeks.
I do love a good body scrub/exfoliator and have been using one
weekly for what seems like a life-time.
One of my all time favourites is the Tonic Body Polisher from Clarins
So I'm excited to try this and compare the two and let you know
in a future post.
11 September 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 Having recently purchased several Clarins products online
I now have many samples to try out, due to the amount that they
send you with your order, so expect Clarins to be appearing in my
Sunday Sample posts over the coming weeks and months.
Having worked with Clarins back in the 80's I remember their original
body lotion very well and it was hugely popular back in the day.
No doubt its been reformulated, re-named and re-packaged many times
 since then and I was excited to see todays version in my deliver.
This week I will be trying out this
Moisture-Rich Body Lotion
to the test and I'll report back next Sunday
21 August 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 I was recently given some Dior samples and amongst them was
this beautifully packaged and very cute 5ml sample of the
DIOR BACKSTAGE
FACE & BODY FOUNDATION
This product is advertised as being the Dior makeup artists' secret weapon
to create an instantly flawless complexion with ultra-buildable coverage,
from a natural nude glow to high-coverage perfection.
The first make-up line inspired by Dior backstage,
designed by Peter Philips,
Dior's Creative and Image Director for make-up,
 for all women seeking a professional result.
I was given the shade 3N and I am looking for another Prestige foundation,
 as my usual go to's are either finished or in one instance discontinued,
 so pop back next Sunday for my review on this foundation.
31 July 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
This weeks Sunday Sample is a real "Blast from the Past", as the
first Self Tan product I ever used many years ago, was from CLARINS.
Back then it was simply know as the CLARINS Auto Bronze.
I'm sure since it has gone through many re-formulations and
re-packagings, however the outer brown packaging has remained the
 same colour.
If I were to be truthful my memories of the original self tan are not so good
and it all comes down to "That Smell", that distinctive fake tan aroma
that I dislike intensely.
I do remember that the bronze shade it turned my skin was good
and not that dreadful fake shade of orange.
I have high hopes for the 2022 version, which is now called
CLARINS SELF TAN
Maybe not the best time to try out a self tan, but this one is a
Self Tanning Instant Gel, so the results should be fairly quick.
My skin is also the palest it ever goes, which means the true tan shade
 should be more noticeable.
I have been looking for a good, fragrance free self tanning product
for sometime now, so this sample came to me just at the right time.
I'm not sure how much of my arms and legs I will be able to cover
with 8mls of product, so pop back next Sunday to find out how
I got along.
22 May 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I have a fragrance sample to review this coming week or should I say
my "hubby" has, as it's the latest mens fragrance offering from
MONTBLANC
MONTBLANC LEGEND RED EDP
has just been launched here in South Africa and I received this sample
in a magazine.
I don't think he has ever tried a fragrance from MONTBLANC previously
and it's always an interesting process having my hubby review a fragrance
for me, so check in next Sunday to see how we got on and whether
he has a new scent to add to his fragrance collection...
17 April 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
Considering I received several fragrance samples in my
recent beauty advent calendars
I thought it was time to choose one for my Sunday Sample post.
So this coming week I will be trying out this generous
 10ml EDP spray size of
Floral street Arizona Bloom
It's brand that I know absolutely nothing about, so not only will I be
discovering the fragrance, but also the brand.
So check back next Sunday to read what I have to say.
BYREDO MOJAVE GHOST {REVIEW}
BYREDO
 is a European luxury brand founded in Stockholm in 2006
by Ben Gorham.
Byredo creates and develops a range of products such as fragrance, makeup,
home, leather goods and accessories, and is sold in more than 40 countries
 in a very high-end exclusive network worldwide.
Byredo conceives objects using the highest quality materials available
and has a Cult following worldwide.
By the way, the Byredo name comes from the old English word 'redolence',
 which roughly means sweet-smelling and aromatic.
Mojave Ghost
Inspired by the wonderful, extremely rare and incredibly powerful
 'ghost flower' from the Mojave desert, blooming without nutrients and water.
Top:
Ambrette
Heart:
Magnolia, Sandalwood, Violet
Base:
Cedarwood, Chantilly Musk, Crisp Amber
It's 83,4% natural and classed as a Woody fragrance.
It's also genderless and of a medium intensity
For the past week I have been trying out a 2ml sample of the
BYREDO Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum.
Having tested in-store, several of the most popular of the
BYREDO fragrances, I haven't yet found the one for me.
That being said I did enjoy Mojave Ghost, but I didn't love it
enough to make me want to buy a bottle.
As I have mentioned in previous fragrance reviews, for me
a fragrance needs have that WOW factor and it must draw me
in and have me repeatedly lifting my arm to take-in more
of the fragrance and sadly this didn't.
As with many of the niche brands that have an extensive fragrance
selection, sometimes it takes many tests to find
THE ONE...
13 March 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I was recently given this
BYREDO
fragrance sample from SkinsCosmetics,
who happen to be the exclusive retailers of the fragrance brand in
South Africa.
BYREDO
 is a European luxury brand founded in Stockholm in 2006
by Ben Gorham.
Byredo creates and develops a range of products such as fragrance,
makeup, home, leather goods and accessories, and is sold in more
 than 40 countries in a very high-end exclusive network worldwide.
Classified as a Woody fragrance it isn't a classification I would
normally enjoy,
but I'll give it a try over this coming week and report
back to you next Sunday as to whether it was a
Hit or Miss...
20 February 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I'm slowly working my way through the sample/travel size products
 that I recently got in my BYTERRY Beauty Advent Calendar and next up is the
 Baume de Rose Micellar Water
I've become a huge fan of Micellar Water over the past few years and I
have tried many, if you would like to read some of my reviews
In the past, I have found some Micellar Waters to be no better than
putting water onto my cotton wool pad, whilst others are excellent
at removing make-up and cleansing the skin.
I have high hopes for this Micellar Water from BYTERRY , as I have
yet to experience a bad product from one of my favourite French brands.
Pop back next Sunday, after I have used this product for the week,
 to read my full review.
30 January 2022
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 Having been given this MOLTON BROWN fragrance sample
by Skins Cosmetics, I'm looking forward to trying a new fragrance and
 using a sample is the very best way.
I don't think I have tried any Molton Brown fragrance before, so this
will be a first.
I'm already a huge fan of the same Fiery Pink Pepper Bath & Shower Gel,
 but if there is one thing I've learnt over the years, that doesn't guarantee
  I will enjoy or even like the Edt format.
Pop back next Sunday to find out if it was a "Hit or Miss"
26 December 2021
SUNDAY SAMPLE
This coming weeks Sunday Sample is a 30ml Travel size of the
BYTERRY
Baume de Rose Bi-phase Make-up Remover
and I'm highly excited to try this out during this coming week, as
I do love a good Bi-Phase product.
This was one of the products from my BYTERRY Advent Calendar
and there will be many more reviews during 2022 from this much
loved French Skincare & Make-up brand.
5 December 2021
SUNDAY SAMPLE
Having only received this product last Sunday I couldn't wait
to put it to the test as part of my Sunday Sample post.
The AĒSOP Citrus Melange Body Cleanser (30ml) was an inclusion in the
Harpers Bazaar Beauty Edit 2020 that I ordered back in October 2020
and due to all the COVID restrictions with travel etc. I only
managed to get my hands on it here in South Africa this past Sunday.
Having only tried one AĒSOP product previously, that being the
infamous AĒSOP Post Poo Drops a couple of years ago I'm keen to
try other products from the range...
To read my AĒSOP Post Poo Drops Review Click Here
Check back next Sunday to read my review on the below...
12 September 2021
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I've had this sample in my possession since Christmas and I thought
 it's about time I put it to the test.
ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
INSAT-SMOOTH PRIMER
It's also slightly unfair to class this as a sample, as its a generous
10ml size that classes it more as a de-luxe sample and the packaging
certainly feels more luxe than any product presented in a sachet format.
Wrinkles, fine lines and pores are visibly reduced, leaving the skin perfectly
prepped for make-up routine and is suitable for all skin types.
This ultra-Tightening skin perfector claims to instantly creates a smooth
and flawless looking complexion and who doesn't want that.
Check back with me next Sunday to see how a faired with this product.
15 August 2021
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 My favourite "all time" type of skincare product has to be a
 Face Exfoliator
and have personally used one weekly since I was in my very early 20's.
It offers instant results that you can both feel and more importantly see.
It's a key product that determines the effectiveness of all other products
and should be incorporated into everyone's skincare regime.
Over this coming week I will try out the
NIMUE EXFOLIATING ENZYME
hopefully I can manage to squeeze two applications out this
3ml sachet sample.
NIMUE was created back in 1994 by a South African Plastic Surgeon.
I also think this is the 1st product that I have ever used from
NIMUE
and it's always interesting to use a brand for the first time.
So pop back next Sunday to read my about the products
performance and my thoughts...
