RECENT EMPTIES {APRIL 2023}

This is my 3rd "Recent Empties" in as many months,
 which has to be a record for me.
With the exception of one of these products, I have and would
again re-purchase all again.
I will link the original reviews below.

L-R

CLEAN RESERVE
 CITROEN FIG
EDP

I love my Clean Reserve Citroen Fig and if I'm not mistaken this is my
3rd 100ml empty. It really has become one of my all-time favourites,
as I just love the top notes of fig, ginger, and lemon oil that will brings
you an immediate
 burst of citrus, followed by the middle notes of cardamom, mint,
 copaiba, and mandarin, then the base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood,
 and musk will ensure that you have an exotic scent to last throughout the day.
Unfortunately I don't know when I can replace this fragrance as the
only retailer here in South Africa SkinsCosmetics has discontinued
this range of fragrances, which makes me very sad as this is my
absolute favourite fragrance EVER....

BY TERRY
LIP-EXPERT
SHINE LIQUID LIPSTICK

Besides being my perfect shade (Rosy Kisss),
I have found my absolute favourite lipstick of all time...

The precise doe foot applicator makes application so easy and the buttery
 formula glides on beautifully and offers a full coverage in one coat.
I found the rich pigment to be long lasting and above all extremely
comfortable and nourishing on the lips.
I do enjoy a shine finish and this shine formula is the perfect amount,
so I highly recommend you check out the

CLINIQUE
MOISTURE SURGE
100H AUTO REPLENISHING
HYDRATOR

My 15ml size lasted for a month and I was super impressed and
I can now understand the love that fans have for this product.

I enjoyed the texture, it was refreshing, lightweight and more
importantly it provided hydration, as for 100 hours I can't
comment but based on the above claims I don't doubt it.
It smoothed my skin to allow for a nice foundation application.
It's an easy to apply and useful multitasking product,
however remember
I have been using during hot humid weather, so
I can't comment on its effectiveness during extreme cold,
but it is a product that I would re-purchase and its great that
it comes in a smaller 15ml size.

URBAN DECAY
STAY NAKED
CORRECTING CONCEALER

The Stay Naked concealer is a buildable, full coverage concealer that is
 long wearing (up to 24hrs),waterproof and doesn't transfer.
I enjoyed that it had a breathable, flexible formula and didn't look cakey,
or dry despite giving a matte finish.
Even though the formula is ultra-pigmented, it's also lightweight
and it covered the darkness under my eyes and the redness around
 my nose surprisingly well.
This has to be my favourite concealer of all time and fortunately
I have a back-up, as we cannot get URBAN DECAY in South Africa
any longer.

KÉRASTASE
GENESIS
BAIN HYDRA FORTIFIANT
SHAMPOO

When it comes to haircare especially my shampoo and conditioner
I do tend to have chop and change a fair amount and whilst I do
have several professional haircare brands, I also enjoy a couple
of the more affordable drugstore brands.
For many years KERASTASE were my products of choice and
I supported them for many, many years, however I'm
finding that my hair isn't responding to their products just
as well as they used to and of course our hair texture and
thickness does alter with age.
I have re-purchased this shampoo several times, however I
doubt I will buy again, as I'm finding that I cannot justify
the price versus how good my hair feels when using
less pricey brands.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {FEBRUARY 2023}

Below are the 4 products that I will be reviewing during February.
I have a real mixed bag that includes a lip gloss, exfoliating cleanser,
a moisturiser and a rather expensive Italian room fragrance.

CLINIQUE
MOISTURE SURGE

I've been waiting for the hot humid months to put this
product to the test and February is a great time.
Not being a huge fan of Clinique products I have heard good
things about this hydrating moisturising gel.

GLOSSIER
LIP GLOSS

This lip gloss was part of my recent beauty edit box from the UK
and it will be my first product from Glossier and whilst it wouldn't
have been my first choice of product from the brand
I'm excited to try it nonetheless.

TATA HARPER
REGENERATING EXFOLIATING
CLEANSER

I'm intrigued by this daily exfoliating cleanser, as it provides
both a gentle physical and chemical peel, which appeals
to me greatly.
Whilst I absolutely adore TATA HARPER facials and I have
had 2 over the past couple of months, I find their
skincare products to be a little underwhelming, so I'm really hoping
 that this will impress.

DR.VRANJIES
HOME FRAGRANCE

Not an actually beauty product, but a room fragrance
does add a "Beauty-full" aroma to any home, so I'm
including it in this months reviews.
I do have the Dr.Vranjies Diffuser in the same scent
ROSSO NOBILE
and I, like many others, adore the fragrance.
However will the room fragrance spray be as delightful
as the diffuser?
I will let you know during this month.

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER #TBT REVIEW

I wrote this post 3 years ago and I still haven't tried anything else
from CLINIQUE.
Despite really enjoying this eye-make-up remover I haven't re-purchased and that's
down to the fact that I had simply forgotten about it, so maybe its
time to re-purchase when my current eye make-up remover has finished.
I have updated the prices below.

~~~~~~
There's a good reason why this product from
CLINIQUE
is one of their Best Sellers and that's because it's good at what it's formulated to do.
Take The Day Off
Makeup Remover
for Lids,Lashes & Lips
is a multi-tasking remover that instantly dissolves and lifts away make-up whether its
on your lids, lashes, or lips.
Their "tug less" formula ensures that there is no unnecessary harsh movements required
to remove eye make-up or mascara and it even removes waterproof mascara
quite effortlessly.
This bi-phase product does need to be shaken well and as always the dampened cotton
pad must be left over the eye lids or lips for a minute or so to ensure full removal.
Post removal it is advisable to wipe over the area with a water dampened cotton pad
to remove any oily residue that can be left behind on the skin.
If you are a wearer of heavy eye make-up or matte type lipsticks then this
product is a "must have" to use for removal.
This product is Non-irritating, non-stinging. Ophthalmologist Tested and
appropriate for contact lens wearers.
Clinique is a brand that I have never used anything from before, so it would seem that
chose well for my first product to try...
SUNDAY SAMPLE
I've decided to change things a little with regards to my Sunday Sample posts
instead of posting, what I will be reviewing for that week on a Monday or Tuesday
I'm going to now post on a Sunday night and then that gives me a full 7 days to
try the sample or deluxe sample sized product out and then I'll post my follow up
thoughts etc. on the following Sunday.
To kick this off I'm going to be trying out a product from
Clinique
YES you read correctly
Clinique.
It's not a brand I have ever reviewed before on my blog and the reason being,
 I have never used any of their products whether it be skincare, make-up or fragrance.
Take The Day Off Make-up Remover
For Lids,Lashes & Lips
is one of
Clinique's best selling products and hopefully it's a good product to try first
and it so happened that I needed an eye make-up remover.
The 30 ml size that I'm trying out is more than a sample quantity and will last way
 longer than a week, but 7 days is enough time for me to be able to do a full review.
If you're curious to know how I get on with my first Clinique review then pop back
next Sunday to find out...
2 March 2014
SUNDAY SAMPLE - OOPS ITS DISCONTINUED
As promised I will use and review every sample that I pull out of my sample jar each week, however some I look forward to using more than others. The Clinique Superfit Make up is one of those that I was not looking forward to trying, as Clinique is not one of my favourite brands. I have found over the years that Clinique skincare products do not suit my skin, but as it has a huge following around the world I am obviously in the minority.
The first issue I had was the fact that this foundation sample was suitable for Skin Types 2,3,4 Dry/Combination to Oily skins, which I find quite un settling that a product can be used by three different types of skin.
Then a stroke of luck....during my research I discovered that this particular foundation has been discontinued world wide, so guess what.. The sample went in the bin.
SUNDAY SAMPLE
Now I do know why this sample ended up in my sample jar and its simple...
I am not a lover of Clinique products, so lets wait and see as to what my review will be on this Superfit foundation
 next Sunday.
