Sampar was created in 2004 and is a hugely popular French Urban skincare brand, one where its products reflect the needs and lifestyle of the current modern women.

My experiences with this French brand have been a little "hit and miss" to say the least, but after saying that, my 'hit" was a good one with the

Sampar Lavish Dream Cream.

As always I will use this product for however long it lasts and bring you my thoughts and findings this Sunday on my Sunday Sample post.

Avène is really becoming one of my favourite French skincare brands as I try more and more of their products and as you will already know I thoroughly review all skincare products before I post my experiences and opinions on my blog and this was no exception.

(Previous reviews on several Avène products can be viewed by clicking on the Pink links at the bottom of this post)

I have been using for many weeks now their Physiolift Precision Wrinkle Filler, which helps you target wrinkles and deep furrows directly to plump them up for smoother, younger looking skin and it forms part of their Anti-Ageing collection of products and I'm ready to reveal my findings...

First up...I was a little sceptical when I received this product to review, as there are so many products out there that claim to reduce the depth of lines and wrinkles and often they fail to perform, or at best perform only slightly and leave you feeling somewhat disappointed with the results.
I was also slightly put off with the syringe type packaging and to be honest I thought it looked gimmicky, so my first impressions were not the best.

The Avène Physiolift Precision Wrinkle Filler claims to be :

"An innovation in anti-ageing technology. With highly concentrated anti-ageing ingredients, it fills the most prominent wrinkles and deep furrows"

For anyone over the age of 35 that's concerned with ageing, whether male of female, then these are the words we want to read and for me being 50+ and having 2 deep furrow lines on my brow I was eager to give this wrinkle filler a chance.

The Avène Physiolift Precision Wrinkle Filler can be used by all skin types including sensitive skins and is fragrance free.Use daily as the last step of your nightly routine.

Its unique Airless pen pipette dispensed a controlled amount of creamy filler along my two furrows with just a couple of clicks...
Another aspect of the filler is that its an expanding foam (which helps to penetrate deeper into the line or furrow), so a little does go a long way.

Avène Physiolift Precision Wrinkle Filler 15ml R459.95

On this point of application, this is my only complaint with the product, I found it quite difficult to hold the pen over the wrinkle and then click and twist the base at the same time, which I know sounds strange, but it's quite a long pen and it really was an awkward to angle and apply,so I ended up just dispensing onto my finger and then quickly massaging into my deep furrows and lines.

With regard to the products performance I was impressed and with a price tag of R459.95 I was impressed even more. Its contains a good line up of ingredients with those much needed benefits :

Helps to replenish collagen

Help smooth the appearance of deep wrinkles and firm the skin.

An antioxidant, boosts the skin's luminosity. The emulsion also targets dull skin and signs of fatigue.

A Vitamin A derivative, has a rejuvenating effect which helps to stimulate cell renewal for younger looking skin

All of the above certainly plumped up the two deep furrows on my forehead, which have always been a concern to me.
(Unfortunately I didn't take before and after pictures as I don't think people want to see my lines, but in this instance I really wished I had, as the improvement was very visible)

Clinical tests revealed the following results, which I agree totally with, however I must start using the filler around my mouth, as I was so focused on applying to my forehead and my naso-labial folds (lines from the corners of your nose down to the corners of your mouth) that I forgot about the lines around my mouth.

Pronounced wrinkles and deep furrows are filled after 3 weeks' use: - Forehead wrinkles, frown lines, crow's feet:  87.9%* - Naso-labial folds: 84.8%* - Wrinkles along the mouth contour: 81.8%*
*Satisfaction  Test - 33 women - 3 weeks' use

After my initial concerns, as to whether this product would work or not, I noticed pretty quickly that it did and it worked well, so much so that its become a product that I really don't want to be without and coming from me... that's quite something!

Lipsticks have come a long way over the last couple of years in terms of stay-ability, as most women today, including myself, just want to apply their lipstick in the morning and we want it to look good and stay on all day.
With a huge selection of lipsticks available its no longer a simple decision of which colour, you must now decide whether you want a matte, creme, glossy, shiny, liquid and finally a "stay all day".
Yes are wishes may have just been answered with this Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick from stila.

stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

I was tempted to buy one of the many matte liquid lipsticks out there and let me tell you there are many, but I did some research and the stila reared its head several times, so I took the plunge and purchased the above nude colour Patina.

My first "like" was the wand applicator, which I've always preferred and made it easy to apply and achieve an accurate and neat application, after all this is a Stay All Day liquid lipstick, so it's not very forgiving if you have a wobbly hand and this super creamy formula does glide on like a gloss.

stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick 3ml R285

This creamy-matte, full-coverage lip colour delivers a bold, long-lasting colour and stays in place for many hours of continuous wear, even after drinking my daily Hot Choc.
Despite some transfer onto my cup amazingly the colour is still plentiful on my lips.

Amazingly the texture is weightless and it feels really comfortable unlike some of the reviews that I've read about other brands where dryness and peeling has been an issue.
This could be due to this formula being enriched with vitamin e and avocado oil, which helps to keep your lips feeling moisturised.

I really liked the fact that I could still apply my regular lip balm or clear lip gloss over the lipstick and the colour whilst being enhanced, still stayed on my lips.

My overall impression was good and I would, without a doubt, re purchase and I was happy to have tried this stila Stay All Day Lipstick as my first dabble with these types of lipsticks.

The stila does have a price tag of R285, but for me its worth every penny.

I know I have said this before, but I'm not a lover of The Body Shop products, however after saying that I recently came across their collection of Body Mists and have fallen in love with this Shea one.
Body Mists are designed to be spritzed over your body several times a day, hence a generous 100ml size and are perfect for hot sunny climes.

The Body Shop Shea Body Mist 100ml R150

The Shea Body Mist contains extracts of Shea and is warm nutty, sweet and inviting.
It also contains vanilla essence, hence my love for this particular fragrance.

These body mists available in various fragrance options:
    Pink Grapefruit

So if you are looking for a new affordable fragrance of generous size whether it be for a stocking filler or just a change of scent for summer then check out the Body Mists from the The Body Shop.

Just in case you are looking to buy new products soon, here is a list of what will be under review in November.
As always I will post a full review on my blog making it easier for you to decide, whether it's worth a buy or not.
I am not reviewing too many products in November as I will be away in the UK for 3 weeks and you can follow some of my adventures on my social media platforms:

I did a little shop at Lush recently and what started out as a "just look and see" of their Christmas and Holiday goodies turned into a shop.

I have heard so many delicious reports on this seasonal Snow Fairy Shower Gel that I thought I would give it a try along with several of their Christmassy Bath Bar and Bath Bombs.

I was sent this product by Blistex to review and as you may or may not know I'm slightly obsessed with lip balms and lip treatments, so this has arrived just in time for summer, which is great as it has an

This caught my eye at Lush, so I will put this Golden Handshake - Hot Hand Mask to the test whilst I'm overseas, as my hands will need some extra tlc.

This month I will be trying out the Micellar Lotion from Avène, which is a brand that I am thoroughly enjoying using. I'm going to take this product overseas with me and I will really put it through its paces in the polluted atmosphere of London.
