BIOLUMIN-C SERUM
BRIGHTENING VITAMIN C SERUM

This is a High-performance serum that enhances the skin’s
natural defence system to brighten, firm and help dramatically reduce
 the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Powered by two potent forms of vitamin C and a wrinkle-fighting peptide, this serum makes skin appear brighter and firmer while also reducing visible
hyper-pigmentation without causing irritation.

Vitamin C:
 Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Lactic Acid:
 Hydrates and exfoliates.
An AHA that accelerates the removal of dull, dead skill cells.

Vitamin C Complex:
Firms and brightens the appearance of skin.

Salvia hispanica (Chia Seed) Oil:
A powerful antioxidant that protects skin against free-radical damage.

For complete transparency I already have fine lines and wrinkles, I don't
suffer with any pigmentation, but I
do want to have a firmer, brighter and more radiant complexion
and this serum seems to tick all those boxes.

I recently introduced this serum into my existing skincare routine
and it fitted in perfectly.
I applied the amber coloured lightweight gel serum onto a cleansed
and toned skin before my moisturiser/night cream both in
the morning and evening.
It can be used on Dry/Normal/Combination & Oily skins.

They say a 30ml bottle should last approximately 5 weeks when used
twice daily, yet I found it to last me around 8 weeks.
The glass bottle has a double outer coating to protect the formula from
 light exposure, minimizing vitamin C degradation.

The pipette dropper does make for easy control of the amount
dispensed and as with most good skincare, a little goes a long way.
Once absorbed it leaves a slight tackiness behind which is tolerable.
The only small negative is the smell, it does have that a slight herb
 aroma, which is perhaps the Chai Seed Oil, but again it's tolerable.

As you may, or may not be aware, I have cared for my skin
since I was 15 years old and thanks to my career, enabling me
to work with many luxury brands, my skin has been exposed
to some of the best anti-ageing products over the years,
so when I see a noticeable change in my skin I'm impressed.
This serum was one of those products that "Impressed" me.

I noticed fairly quickly how much more radiant my skin was and
with time the texture of my skin appeared smoother.
With regards to firmness I think ongoing use would be needed
to see any changes there.
I have thoroughly enjoyed using this Vitamin C Serum and would highly
recommend checking it out if you looking to introduce one into your
daily routine or perhaps just looking to change brands.
DERMALOGICA
 doesn't fall into everyones budget, I know, but for
those that it does, it's well worth the splurge...

DIOR BACKSTAGE FACE & BODY FOUNDATION {REVIEW}

For the past week I have been trying out a sample bottle of the
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
I haven't tried very much from Dior, when I worked for them
back in the day, fragrance was the only section of Beauté that was
available here in South Africa.
I have reviewed one other foundation
Which I enjoyed, but not enough to re-purchase, however I do recommend
my other Dior purchase

The Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
is tested and approved by 100% of Dior professional makeup artists.
 With its fluid texture and second skin finish,
this ultra-buildable foundation offers custom-made intensity.
Enriched with beauty-enhancing pigments, the formula fuses with skin
that glows for a perfect, natural complexion in real life and through
 the camera's lens.

The waterproof formula of the Dior Backstage Face & Body foundation
creates an invisible mesh on the skin and resists extreme conditions:
workout sessions, water, extreme temperatures and humid environments.
 It even resists the bright lights both backstage and above the catwalk.

Thanks to its 40 shades, including 16 intensities and 6 undertones,
 the new Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation suits all skin tones.

Light nude coverage:
Use your fingers to gently dab 1 layer of foundation and massage
onto face.

Medium coverage:
Apply 2 layers with Light Coverage Foundation Brush N 11 from the
 centre of the face outwards.

Full perfection coverage:
Apply up to 3 layers of foundation in circular motions.

The shade of my very generous sample was 3N (neutral) and it was an
 ideal match.
The cute replica of the full size, even had its own built in spatula
which made application super easy and there was way less wastage.
After not being WOW'd with the Forever Skin Glow Foundation I wasn't
sure what to expect from this one.

The consistency is quite creamy and its very easy to spread and work
with. As Dior say, its buildable in fact it's very buildable and really
does offer you the ability to create your own level of coverage.

Personally one application was enough for me in terms of coverage
with the medium coverage being reserved for those special occasions
I didn't test out 3 layers and I don't doubt its full coverage claim.
I normally enjoy a little more glow to my foundation, but I really
loved the natural/flawless finish and it felt lightweight on the skin.
In terms of staying power I have no complaints and it looked
just as good at the end of the day as it did at the beginning.

I am on the hunt for a new luxury foundation and I do have
my eye on a couple of other brands, so I'm not sure if this will
be the one or not, it all depends on how well the other foundations
perform.
So far though this is a great contender...

ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN EYE REVIVE MASK #TBT REVIEW

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of ELEMIS skincare product and todays
#TBT Review only goes back to February 2021, but its become a firm
favourite of mine and a product that I recommend often.
If you are concerned about the initial price, I can confirm that this
eye mask lasts a surprisingly long time and really works out to be
good value for money.
The one thing that has changed since I wrote this review is the number
of retailers that now stock ELEMIS whether its online or in-store we have
a much better selection than ever before and ELEMIS South Africa have their
own on-line shop ELEMIS SOUTH AFRICA

~~~~~~
Having reviewed several products from the British skincare brand
ELEMIS
I can now official say that it's fast becoming one of my favourite skincare brands.
If you would like to catch up on my previous ELEMIS reviews
I currently have under review a couple of products that came in my
Christmas gift of the
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Stars of the Show Set
and it's a gift that keeps on giving and I love it...
I have many more ELEMIS product reviews coming up.
If you would like to read my post showing the contents of that set then
Everything in the set excites me, yet when it comes to eye products
I must admit I do get a little more than excited.
Eye products are often overlooked as being non-essentials in a skincare
regime and I often hear or read the following:
"It's an area where I can save money"
"I can't afford one"
"They don't work"
"I use my moisturiser or night cream over the eye area"
"My eye area is good I don't need to use one"
'I'll think about using one when I see the lines and wrinkles"
As you can imagine, as someone that has been using an eye cream
since my very early 20's I can but cringe when I hear these types of responses,
especially when that person is standing before me wearing super expensive
shoes and clothes.
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but those clothes will be long gone when
you are 60, yet your skin will still be with you, so the choice ultimately
is your's to make, but I for one have been extremely happy with my
decision that caring for the skin around the eye area is as important
 as caring for the skin on your face and body.
Little Rant over...
ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN EYE REVIVE MASK
Anti-Wrinkle Multi-Use Eye Mask - brightens - rejuvenates - hydrates
A serum-infused eye mask that minimises the look of wrinkles, whilst
targeting the look of puffiness and dark circles.
This moisture-plumping eye mask is formulated with next generation
Flash Filler Hyaluronic Acid, wrinkle-reducing Watermelon Snow Algae and antioxidant-rich Bush Clover to deeply hydrate and reduce the visible effects
 of tension and strain around the eye contour.
I have seen a noticeable difference with the hydration of my skin and I find
the bouncy gel texture to be both smoothing, comforting and refreshing.
There is absolutely no feeling of product left behind on the skin once applied.
The texture is also like no other that I have tried before, as it's almost
"cloud like" and it was soon apparent
that after the first application a "less is more" approach needs to be adopted
as a small amount covers a large area, making this product a very cost
effective eye treatment, considering its a multi-use product.
For optimal results, use daily or a minimum of 3 times a week.
Apply a thin layer to the eye contour and either layer under makeup
 in the morning, over make-up during the day or leave on overnight.
What I really enjoy about this product is the versatility, as this
 3-in-1 formula can be used as an overnight anti-ageing mask,
a hydrating under-eye primer and a moisturising rescue balm, during the day.
Personally for my mature skin I find I can quite easily use this as a
nightly eye cream and I also like to apply during the day, especially
if I've been having too much screen time.
Due to its versatility its fitted perfectly into my current beauty regime
 and I'm reaching for it more often than I first thought I would.
Research & Development where skincare is concerned is changing
fairly rapidly, especially when it comes to multi tasking products
and I think ELEMIS have nailed it with this
Anti-Wrinkle Multi Use Eye product.
If you are searching for an Eye Cream upgrade,
then this could be one to consider.
SKIN PROUD EVERYDAY JELLY MOISTURISER {REVIEW}
Feedback on this moisturiser is way over due considering it was
part of my Currently Under Review post back in February.
After trying the one product from this UK skincare brand Skin Proud
 I've opted for a 2nd product in the form of their
Everyday Jelly Moisturiser
Whilst this brand isn't aimed for my mature skin, I loved using
the Icicle Cooling Eye Serum Stick as an extra over and above using
my other more anti-ageing and targeted eye treatments.
I have since purchased 2 more of the Serum Sticks, as it's
such an easy product to apply often throughout the day.
Click here to read that review, so on the
strength of how much I liked, I thought I would try this dreamy
pink cream-gel during the day in these hot and humid Summer months.
The Everyday Jelly Moisturiser claims to be
bursting with a powerful 4-part hyaluronic acid complex for results
on all levels.It also contains Rose Flower Water.
This lightweight sorbet-like gel delivers on hydration and it's an oil-free gel
that helps to lock in moisture for dewy, healthy and glowing skin.
Suitable for all skin types
Can be used AM &sorb/or PM over a serum.
Its Vegan Friendly and approved by Beauty Without Cruelty.
I have a confession, whilst I did use during the hot and humid
February and March months, I then had to put my jar to one side
as it just wasn't enough moisture for me once the weather cooled.
However during those hot months I throughly enjoyed this moisturiser
It will make an appearance again, around January.
I have also tried their Skin Proud Refresher Hydrating Mist which I
didn't take to, mainly due to its fragrance, which by the way I can pick
up in the Jelly Moisturiser, but thankfully it's not to the same
strength and intensity To read my full review
I do understand that I am not the target market for this brand, so
maybe the stick serum is perhaps a one off, however I do think that this
 brand offers a great, easy, yet serious skincare introduction to those
 Gen Z'ers and the rest of us can just "cherry pick" the products that fit
over and above into our skincare routine like the eye serum, which I would
 recommend and I have since purchased two more...
SUNDAY SAMPLE
 I was recently given some Dior samples and amongst them was
this beautifully packaged and very cute 5ml sample of the
DIOR BACKSTAGE
This product is advertised as being the Dior makeup artists' secret weapon
to create an instantly flawless complexion with ultra-buildable coverage,
from a natural nude glow to high-coverage perfection.
The first make-up line inspired by Dior backstage,
designed by Peter Philips,
Dior's Creative and Image Director for make-up,
 for all women seeking a professional result.
I was given the shade 3N and I am looking for another Prestige foundation,
 as my usual go to's are either finished or in one instance discontinued,
 so pop back next Sunday for my review on this foundation.
SARAH CHAPMAN SKINESIS INTENSE HYDRATING BOOSTER SERUM #TBT REVIEW
It seems way longer than April 2019 when I posted my original
review on this Sarah Chapman Serum.
Unfortunately I haven't tried anything further from her brand since this
and I doubt I will any time soon, as I have other brands that
I want to explore more.
~~~~~~

Despite having heard nothing but good things about Sarah Chapman skincare products
I can't say that any of her products were on my skincare wish list, that was until
 I was offered the option of one for free, no charge, gratis...

On my visit to the UK back in November last year, obviously SpaceNK was on my
places to visit along with a skincare shopping list and this visit, luckily for me,
 happened to coincide
with Black Friday weekend sales and offers.

SpaceNK had a choice of free gifts available depending on the amount of your spend
and as my spend was over £150 I' had a pretty good selection of free gifts to choose
from and that's how I ended up with this
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Hydrating Booster Serum
that currently retails for £64.
I can't actually remember the other gift items on offer, but I thought this would
 be a perfect opportunity to experience some of the Sarah Chapman magic.

The Skinesis Intense Hydrating Booster Serum is formulated to hydrate and moisturise stressed out skin, this targeted serum offers much-needed cooling relief and works to soothe, repair and protect environmentally damaged and unbalanced skin.
This multi-tasking, oil free serum works to enhance the moisture levels in the skin and activate its natural defences. Formulated with a mix of supercharged cosmeceutical ingredients, rose water, moisture magnets and hyaluronic acid, it helps to protect, rehydrate and plump up the skin.
Key Benefits:
Leaves the skin with a fresh, dewy glow
Skin feels refreshed and soothed
Skin’s immune system is strengthened
Acts as the ideal makeup base
Helps to prevent breakouts
Works to minimise fine lines

Hydrating serums are often the first type of serum the majority of us will introduce into our skin care routines and can be used by all skin types, as the majority do need some help with hydration, so whether you have a sensitive, dry, normal, oily or combination skin the earlier you can introduce a hydrating serum the better and if you haven't yet, then you need to be seriously considering one...
The texture of this supercharged "Booster Serum" from Sarah Chapman has a lightweight, silky, yet slightly runny feel and a little really does go a long way, so be warned that even though the glass pipette helps to guide you with the quantity dispensed, its a genuine case of "less is more", so don't do what I did and continually dispensed too much for the first few weeks, which was such a waste.
As with all hydrating serums you apply onto a clean face, allow to settle and dry and then follow with your day cream or night cream.Its advisable that this serum be used a.m & p.m for maximum results to re-balance and set your skin back on track.
A top tip from Sarah Chapman is to mix several drops into your face mask in order to give it a supercharged boost, which I'm going to try soon.
This boosting serum can very easily be incorporated in to your existing skincare regime regardless of the brand.

I found the serum easy to use and incorporate into my current routine,
but if I'm honestI found it a little underwhelming, especially as this product
 is one of the brands "Hero" products.
Serums often work silently beneath the skin and don't reflect too obviously
on the skins surface, but I have to say I was expecting a bit more of a skin "Boosting" effect.
However that being said I must point out that I do and have taken very good
 care of my skin for the past 45yrs + and for my age I do have a good
balanced skin, so sometimes I find it difficult to visible notice any changes.

I have no doubt though, that if your skin has been neglected and is needing
 an all round "boost" then this serum, for sure, would work its
magic...
