SUNDAY SAMPLE - DERMALOGICA AGE SMART DAILY SUPERFOLIANT {MINI REVIEW}

Sorry for this post being a week late, but I found several more samples of the 

AGE smart dermalogica daily superfoliant

 so I thought I would give this "Sunday Sample" a two week mini review rather than just using the product for 7 days only...

(This is by no means a full review - this daily superfoliant has long term cumulative benefits to the skin, as this product helps to fight the biochemical and environmental triggers known to accelerate skin ageing and therefore cannot be experienced fully over a 14 days period)

Being an absolute believer in the process of exfoliating the skin and having used exfoliators since my teen years I'm always excited to put a new one to the test.
The use of an exfoliator is vital in most skin care routines, yet it's often a neglected product.
If you want to instantly brighten and smooth your skin whilst allowing your products to absorb and function better, then introduce an exfoliator or scrub immediately to your beauty regime.

The highly respected salon skin care brand Dermalogica has taken the "home use" face exfoliator to the next level. Ideally suited for a normal to mature or prematurely ageing skin their newly launched AGE smart daily superfoliant with the inclusion of anti-pollution and anti-ageing ingredients, but more importantly AHA's, ensures that this highly-active resurfacer delivers an incredibly smooth skin, quickly and with very little effort.
Don't expect a conventional granular type exfoliator, as this product initially presents itself as a charcoal grey powder.
The advanced powder formula only activates upon contact with water, releasing powerful enzymes, skin-smoothing alpha hydroxy acids and anti-pollution technology. 

Activated Binchotan Charcoal 
purifies the skin, helping to adsorb environmental toxins from deep within the pores, while 
Niacinamide, Red Algae and Tara Fruit Extract 
help guard against the damaging effects of pollution.

Formulated without artificial fragrances, colours or parabens.
However this product is not recommended if you are already using medically-prescribed exfoliation products. 

The daily superfoliant is super easy to use:

After cleansing, dispense about a half-teaspoon into very wet hands and create a creamy
paste by rubbing hands together. Apply to face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area.Massage gently for one minute, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use daily. For more sensitive skin, apply on alternate days until skin acclimates.

I personally was impressed by the effectiveness of this rather unassuming, charcoal grey powder that seems to resurface, deep cleanse and detoxify the pores whilst leaving your skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth.

The best one liners come from a review in Marie Claire magazine recently and I won't disagree:

"leaves you with your brightest complexion to date"

(As always remember to use either a moisturising mask, serum or cream after any exfoliating treatment)

This product comes with a hefty price tag though, R1180 gets you 57grams of product, but if you are already a dermalogica fan or seriously interested in taking your exfoliation to the next level and if it fits into your budget then the inclusion of this product into your skin care routine is a "no brainer".
