SMOOTH THOSE FEET - RAIN BIOLOGIE EXFOLIATING FOOT SCRUB {REVIEW}

The second product that I want to share with you in my new series of posts

"Smooth Those Feet"

is the

 Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub

Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub R134 (2/2018)

 Rain create handmade bath & body products and hand crafted home ware using natural ingredients with African origins.Rain products are responsibly handmade with love and care for their customers, craftspeople and the environment
and is a brand that I love....

This foot scrub is specially formulated to cleanse, deodorise, cool and prevent fungal growth.
Apricot seed kernels gently slough away dry dead skin, whilst skin softening Aloe Vera prepares the way for the penetration of this combination of essential oils to do their work:

Peppermint Essential Oil – to relieve itching and irritation

Tea Tree Essential Oil – for its antiseptic and antibacterial healing qualities

Eucalyptus Essential Oil – to cool refresh and deodorise

The wonderful uplifting fragrance from this cocktail of essential oils is evident as soon as you remove the lid from the tub and whilst you merrily work the product over your slightly damp heels and feet you can feel the apricot seeds gently exfoliating along with the beneficial oils making this Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub a pleasure to use and at

R95 for 90mls

its gentle on the pocket to.

After rinsing, your feet are left feeling smooth, cool and revitalised and for added benefits apply the Rain Cooling Foot Cream...Foot Bliss!

SMOOTH THOSE FEET - SCHOLL VELVET SMOOTH ELECTRONIC FOOT FILE {REVIEW}

This is the third in my series of
 "Smooth Those Feet"
and today I am excited to tell you about the Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File from the foot experts....Scholl.

I really expected great things from this gadget and I wasn't disappointed.
 Once you get past all the plastic packaging (you know the type that's really difficult to remove)
you come across a ergonomically designed large and surprisingly heavy,solid gadget that fits comfortably in your hand.
The Electronic foot file comes with batteries and is ready for use and I bought mine at Dischem (R399) but they are available in clicks and major supermarkets countrywide.
With continued use you will need to replace the roller,but mine is still looking good after 5 or 6 uses.
(2 replacement rollers are approx R149)

Just a word of warning, remember to remove a red cover that sits over the batteries preventing contact. In my haste to put my gadget to work, it took me a while to realise and it would have helped if I had read the instructions properly before using!

The workhorse of the foot file is the spinning Micralumina ™ roller which gently removes areas of hard skin with absolute ease. Gently roll across the affected area with light to medium pressure and even movements, repeating regularly. Do not use on one area for more than 3-4 seconds at a time, but you will feel when it's time to move onto a different area of hard skin.
The device also cuts out if you apply to much pressure making this device pretty much
 "idiot proof" to use.
(except for the red cover on the batteries)

The results are wonderful smooth feet and heels and I love my new found friend.
 Whilst it doesn't replace an all over foot Exfoliator or Scrub it certainly makes light work of those stubborn hard skin areas and is a great aide to your home pedicure regime and is well worth the investment.

SMOOTH THOSE FEET {LUSH VOLCANO FOOT MASK}

The first product that I want to share with you in my new series of posts

 "Smooth Those Feet"
 is the
Volcano Foot Mask
from
Lush

This China Clay foot mask is a perfect pick me up for tired feet. It contains pumice, papaya, tomatoes, menthol crystals, lemon oil and cinnamon leaf oil and all go into creating this cleaning, exfoliating, repairing, moisturising, deodorising and stimulating
 "Volcanic" foot mask.

Lush Volcano Foot Mask

As directed, I applied in a thick film over my clean feet and then wrapped in plastic wrap...don't be tempted to miss the plastic wrap out as this adds to the experience....
you then put your feet up and relax for 20 minutes.

I must just warn you that the fragrance of this mask is very much of the Kaolin clay,
but it's far away from your nose, so it's bearable...
The other heads up is about the heat that is generated by both the ingredients and from being enclosed in the plastic wrap.
You soon realise that the name "Volcano" is very apt....as that's what it feels exactly like, a volcano erupting on your feet, but in a strange, pleasant way.

As you rinse off ensure that you massage in the mask at the same time, as the pumice then removes the dead cells. Before you even have time to dry your feet you can feel the menthol coolness and your feet and tootsies feel fantastic, wonderfully soft, smooth and most definitely alive and refreshed....a must for anyone who stands on their feet all day.
The cooling effect lasted long after the mask had been removed, which was great and best of all no foot cream was needed to restore moisture.

This multi tasking product gets a big "Foot" up from me, as it certainly does
 "Smooth Those Feet" and much more..

P.S. I originally bought this product from the Lush store in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, but have subsequently purchased in the UK. I don't see it on the SA website for ordering online, which suggests that it's no longer available in SA, but it is still available overseas both in store and online for £6.50
