LUSH SNOW FAIRY LIP JELLY {REVIEW}

The Christmas Limited Edition range SNOW FAIRY from LUSH
has its own fan club and I'm one of them, as I just love the
bubblegum sweet fragrance, but I know that it's not for everyone,
but for those FANS, they just can't get enough.

 The SNOW FAIRY collection grows
every year with new product additions and this year is no exception.
The SNOW FAIRY LIP JELLY is one such addition and it was a
non-negotiable purchase as it combines my passion for
lip balms and snow fairy, so it's a match made in SNOW FAIRY heaven.

The pink glistening jelly is sweetly fragranced and whilst it isn't a
super treating lip product it does provides nourishment and softness
 to the lips.
It gives a subtle gloss effect and can be used alone or over a lipstick.
I always find that a lip balm in a pot offers you way more value for money
than a lip balm in a bullet or tube format.
I purchased mine overseas last month and I have been using
for a few weeks now, I've really been enjoying this lip balm,
but then again I'm a huge fan of all things SNOW FAIRY

As I post this, the collection has just launched
both in stores and online, so I wouldn't delay to get this seasons fix of
SNOW FAIRY

SMOOTH THOSE FEET {LUSH VOLCANO FOOT MASK}

The first product that I want to share with you in my new series of posts

 "Smooth Those Feet"
 is the
Volcano Foot Mask
from
Lush

This China Clay foot mask is a perfect pick me up for tired feet. It contains pumice, papaya, tomatoes, menthol crystals, lemon oil and cinnamon leaf oil and all go into creating this cleaning, exfoliating, repairing, moisturising, deodorising and stimulating
 "Volcanic" foot mask.

Lush Volcano Foot Mask

As directed, I applied in a thick film over my clean feet and then wrapped in plastic wrap...don't be tempted to miss the plastic wrap out as this adds to the experience....
you then put your feet up and relax for 20 minutes.

I must just warn you that the fragrance of this mask is very much of the Kaolin clay,
but it's far away from your nose, so it's bearable...
The other heads up is about the heat that is generated by both the ingredients and from being enclosed in the plastic wrap.
You soon realise that the name "Volcano" is very apt....as that's what it feels exactly like, a volcano erupting on your feet, but in a strange, pleasant way.

As you rinse off ensure that you massage in the mask at the same time, as the pumice then removes the dead cells. Before you even have time to dry your feet you can feel the menthol coolness and your feet and tootsies feel fantastic, wonderfully soft, smooth and most definitely alive and refreshed....a must for anyone who stands on their feet all day.
The cooling effect lasted long after the mask had been removed, which was great and best of all no foot cream was needed to restore moisture.

This multi tasking product gets a big "Foot" up from me, as it certainly does
"Smooth Those Feet" and much more..

P.S. I originally bought this product from the Lush store in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, but have subsequently purchased in the UK. I don't see it on the SA website for ordering online, which suggests that it's no longer available in SA, but it is still available overseas both in store and online for £6.50

"LUSH" CIOUS

LUSH V&A Cape Town

What an exciting time in South African retail with all these international brands arriving...the latest being LUSH which opened yesterday at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

LUSH is a handmade cosmetics company headquartered in Poole, Dorset in the UK. In 1994, husband and wife Mark and Mo Constantine opened the first Lush store in Poole under the name Cosmetic House Limited. LUSH adopted its current name on 10 April 1995. There are now 830 stores in 50 countries.

LUSH produces fresh-made soaps, shampoos, shower gels, lotions, moisturisers, scrubs, and other cosmetics for the face, hair, and body using 100% vegetarian recipes. It also produces unique products like solid or dry shampoos, "Shower Jellies", gelatin-like semi-solid shampoo and body wash; "Toothy Tabs", solid toothpaste tablets; and "Bath Bombs," solid balls made of sodium bicarbonate that fizz with different scents and colours when dropped in the bathtub.
LUSH products are handmade in factories around the world (including Poole, Dorset and Vancouver, Canada), and are made in small batches based on orders from individual stores to ensure the freshness of the product.
LUSH stores do not sell products older than four months and most products have a total shelf life of approximately 14 months.
LUSH uses fruits and vegetables, essential oils, synthetic ingredients, honey and beeswax in their products. In addition to not using animal fats in their products, they are also against animal testing and perform tests solely with volunteers instead.
I have been into several Lush shops around the UK and they are an absolute "awakening" for many of the senses as soon as you walk through the door.
Firstly your sense of smell is immediately aroused with the mix of every product on display, your eyes just fall upon a feast of different products which look good enough to eat, which in turn gets your taste buds going, your sense of touch is soon put through their "paces" as the assistants offer you treatments and demonstrations and your sense of hearing is also given a work out from the explanations the assistants soon impart on you, about the benefits and uses of all their products.
My purchases at the time were from the "Happy Feet" collection and this exfoliating foot is not what it seems. It is not an foot shaped pumice stone but it's the actual product , as you break some of the foot off and mix with water and it turns into a great foot exfoliater....and I also bought a peppermint and menthol foot and leg cream.

Happy Feet

Do not even try to walk into a LUSH shop unless you have time to really browse and take on board all that they have to offer otherwise you will miss many of these fun funky products....Capetonians you don't know how lucky you are to have their first shop in SA.
I'm turning a "LUSH CIOUS" green as I write....
