RAIN RELAXING NIGHT CREAM {REVIEW}

Having been a lover of the RAIN bath and body products for many years,
I can now say I'm a huge fan of their face care range.
Launched several years ago, this will be my 4th product review
from their range of 10 products and I have
earmarked a couple more, that I would love to try and bring
you reviews on in the future.
All the products in the range are formulated to synergistically work together
to create an ideal skincare routine.
The aim of the Rain Skincare range is to:
Maintain good skin condition
Maintain skin health through probiotics
(delivers good bacteria and nutrients to help balance skin)
Provide natural skincare for normal to sensitive skin.
RELAXING NIGHT CREAM
Is a natural relaxing night-time moisturiser, formulated with probiotics and botanicals known for skin conditioning.
It's naturally fragranced with lavender and grapefruit essential oils.
African oils such as Baobab, Marula, Kalahari Melon and Moringa will leave
 skin feeling moisturised and conditioned.

For daily evening skincare routine.
Use after cleansing and toning.
Apply onto face, neck, and décolletage.
Recommended use in combination with RAIN Relaxing Night Serum.

This calming night cream has an ultra-rich and luxurious texture and it's
the type of texture that's reminiscent of the night creams pre the
cream/gel era.
Despite having a rich texture, which is an absolute pleasure to apply
to a dry/ very dry skin, it isn't heavy at all.
The skin feels comforted, nourished but more importantly non greasy,
which can be an issue with night creams.
It slotted into my existing skincare product line-up perfectly
and not only does it smell of calming Lavender, but a little goes
a long way and it proved to be very cost effective and it's easily
available either in rain boutiques or online.

This is another face product from rain that is well suited for a mans skin,
as this collection of face products is one that my hubby really enjoys.
My skin responded well to this night cream and it's one that I would
highly recommend for normal/dry or sensitive skins.

RAIN EXFOLIATING FACIAL SCRUB {REVIEW}

Exfoliators... my favourite product of all products and I love
reviewing them and I have yet another one to tell you about.

The RAIN Exfoliating Facial Scrub is a relatively new scrub on the block.
As with all exfoliating products they're formulated to remove dead skin cells
and RAIN use ground apricot seeds to provide mechanical exfoliation and this product also contains citric acid (AHA) to provide natural chemical exfoliation.
Marula and argan oils provide moisture whilst Aloe ferox soothes the skin.

Suitable for all skin types and it can be used 3-5 times a week.
Naturally fragranced with lemongrass and grapefruit essential oils and is
Vegan-friendly.

If I'm honest I wasn't expecting anything outstanding from this product, yet
once again I have been proven wrong, as I have been pleasantly surprised
at how effective this exfoliator is and whilst the ground apricot seeds are
noticeable in texture (which I happen to enjoy) the product is gentle and
does not strip and leave the skin feeling taught and dry, like so many
scrubs can do. My skin felt so smooth and it out performed many scrub
s that I have tried and tested and this was
by far one of the best smelling, the lemongrass & grapefruit fragrance
 is refreshing and positively divine.
Another standout for me is the packaging, it's super slimline tube,
still houses 50 mls of product, yet it takes up hardly any space and would
be great for travel.
Overall it's an affordable, easy to use, effective facial scrub, one that would incorporate seamlessly into anyones existing skin routine.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {NOVEMBER 2021}

Yes it's time for me to announce the products that I will be reviewing during November and I cannot quite believe there's only 2 months left of 2021.
I know I say it every month, but I do have some exciting products to
review in the upcoming weeks and that's because I'm rather choosy as to
which products I either buy or accept as PR gifts, of which there are
five this month.

1.
RAIN
BOTANICAL
FACIAL EXFOLIATOR

More known for their bath, body and home fragrance RAIN launched a
collection of skincare products back in 2019 and this is the 3rd product
from their Botanical skincare range that I have been gifted to try and as
you may or not know, an exfoliator is my most loved skincare product,
as it delivers instant results, so I'm keen to see how this one performs
in relation to the many others that I have used since I was in my
early 20's, YES that's how long I having been weekly exfoliating
my skin.

2.
TATA HARPER
HYALURONIC GEL MOISTURISER

I was given this product as part of a PR invite to experience the
newly introduced TATA HARPER treatments at the
Oyster Box Hotel Spa earlier this year and I have held it back to use
at the beginning of summer, so now is the ideal time to try this
weightless, hydrating daily moisturiser thats packed with
37 High-Performance ingredients.

3.
EVE LOM
RADIANCE FACE MIST

With age I'm drawn more and more to all things that promise
Radiance or mention the word Radiance, as that is what the skin lacks
with the advancing years.
This product was one of my very rare impulse purchases, but having tried
a couple of EVE LOM products previously, so my interest was piqued.
I'm an avid user of facial sprays and combine with radiance enhancing
ingredients I have high hopes for this product.

AVÈNE
TOLÉRANCE CONTROL

I was kindly sent this collection of the newly launched products
  AVÈNE TOLÉRANCE CONTROL
which have been formulated to both control and de-sensitise
skin that is Hypersentive, reactive, intolerant or allergic.
Apparently 1 in 2 women report have a hypersensitive skin, having
said this, my hubby has already fallen in love with the one product.
I will be reviewing these products in one post during this month and no
doubt hubby will throw in his findings.

There are 3 products available:

Tolérance Extremely Gentle Cleanser

Tolérance Soothing Skin Recovery Cream
Tolérance Soothing Skin Recovery Balm

RAIN BOTANICAL CLEANSING GEL {REVIEW}

Having written many reviews over the years on RAIN products they're
my go-to local brand for bath, body and home fragrance products.
Their humble beginnings started when their founder, Bev Missing,
established Rain back in 1999 by making soaps in her garage in Ladybrand,
a small rural village on the Free State border between
South Africa and Lesotho.
Today, Rain is a proudly South African international brand.
There are currently 30 Rain retail stores across South Africa and the globe,
including Ireland and New York.

The Botanical Natural unisex skincare collection was launched back in
2019 with 9 products and now it consists of 10 skincare products.
The Exfoliating Facial Scrub has since been added to the original launch line-up
and it just so happens to be "Currently Under Review" on Beauty Shout Box,
so expect my full review to be posted soon.

I reviewed the Relaxing Night Serum back then and made mention
that this serum would be ideal for men to use due to it's formula being
effective, yet non sticky and quick to dispense and apply.
I soon after lost this serum to my hubby and he gave the product a
massive thumbs up...

This time its the turn of the
Botanical Cleansing Gel

Formulated using African botanicals such as Aloe Ferox, Honeybush and
Bulbinella, this cleanser will gently remove any makeup and dirt while
leaving your skin feeling clean, soothed and comfortable.

Other ingredients include:
 Green Tea
Coconut
Baobab
 Marula
 Moringa
&
 Mongongo Nut

Can be used by all skin types in your daily cleansing routine.
Apply a small amount to wet hands, lather and gently massage onto face.
Keep eyes closed to avoid irritation.
Rinse well, pat dry and follow with rain serums and moisturisers.

A natural and gentle facial cleansing gel, formulated with probiotics
and botanicals known for skin conditioning.
Naturally fragranced with Spearmint and Grapefruit essential oils, that help
turn this cleanser into a lovely uplifting and refreshing cleansing experience,
which is my ''standout" like about this product.
It's waterproof packaging with a handy flip lid makes this an ideal
shower product.
I may just have to hide this cleanser, so hubby doesn't lay claim to it,
but I have to admit... he would also love it!

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {SEPTEMBER 2021}

I have another 4 exciting products to review for you this month,
3 are French, of which one is from my fave brands and the 4th is
from a much loved South African brand.

 L-R

BYTERRY
BRIGHTENING CC
PALETTE

I really didn't need anymore face palettes, but I'd had my eye on this
pretty number from BYTERRY for sometime, and I simply couldn't resist its
beauty or the versatility, as this palette can be used on the face, as a blush,
bronzer and highlighter, as well as on the eyes, in fact anywhere that needs
some illumination.
The outer packaging is simply stunning and hopefully I will be reporting
to you very soon that the product is just as stunning.

RAIN
BOTANICAL
CLEANSING GEL

I've been trying many cleansers recently and I will soon add
this cleansing gel to my cleanser reviews and the local brand
RAIN rarely disappoints.

TALIKA
EYE THERAPY PATCH

Where the eye area is concerned I've always been a little fanatical
and I have been using specific eye products since I was around 21
years of age and I have never regretted it for one second.
This eye patch from the French brand TALIKA is the first reusable
smoothing instant patch that targets all of my concerns:
Anti-wrinkle/Anti-dark circles/Anit-puffiness

DIOR
ADDICT
LIP GLOW
LIP BALM

Having worked for DIOR, many moons ago, I've tried very little from
them in recent years and a DIOR boutique recently opened at Gateway
which is far too close for comfort, for my purses liking.
For my 1st purchase from their beautiful boutique I opted for the
much loved and praised Lip Glow Lip Balm which is a
natural glow custom colour reviving lip balm that
offers 24hrs hydration & 97% natural-origin ingredients.

As always my full product reviews will be posted over the next few
weeks, so don't miss out on any of them by following me on my
social media platforms.Links in the side bar.

RAIN SKINCARE LINE-UP

One of my favourite home grown bath, body and home fragrance brands, for many years now, has been RAIN
and I've been waiting for sometime, with much anticipation I must add, to see just what
products they have conceptualised and formulated for their skincare line-up.
Apparently its been 3 years in the making and the wait is finally over.

The appealing silver, white and grey packaging of this unisex skincare collection looks
both sleek and chic. The prices of the products range from R220 - R890.

The skincare range will consist of 9 products, but I'm sure that more will be added with time:

SMOOTH THOSE FEET - RAIN BIOLOGIE EXFOLIATING FOOT SCRUB {REVIEW}

The second product that I want to share with you in my new series of posts

"Smooth Those Feet"

is the

 Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub

Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub R134 (2/2018)

Rain create handmade bath & body products and hand crafted home ware using natural ingredients with African origins.Rain products are responsibly handmade with love and care for their customers, craftspeople and the environment
and is a brand that I love....

This foot scrub is specially formulated to cleanse, deodorise, cool and prevent fungal growth.
Apricot seed kernels gently slough away dry dead skin, whilst skin softening Aloe Vera prepares the way for the penetration of this combination of essential oils to do their work:

Peppermint Essential Oil – to relieve itching and irritation

Tea Tree Essential Oil – for its antiseptic and antibacterial healing qualities

Eucalyptus Essential Oil – to cool refresh and deodorise

The wonderful uplifting fragrance from this cocktail of essential oils is evident as soon as you remove the lid from the tub and whilst you merrily work the product over your slightly damp heels and feet you can feel the apricot seeds gently exfoliating along with the beneficial oils making this Rain Biologie Exfoliating Foot Scrub a pleasure to use and at

R95 for 90mls

its gentle on the pocket to.

After rinsing, your feet are left feeling smooth, cool and revitalised and for added benefits apply the Rain Cooling Foot Cream...Foot Bliss!

*For my visitors from the USA you also have your own Rain store in NYC and can also shop online*

ITS "RAIN" ING GIFTS THIS CHRISTMAS

If you are looking for gifting this year, whether it be for Teachers Gifts, Secret Santa's or for those special people in your life (male, female or babies) then can I suggest
that you visit your nearest rain store.
This African brand has a special place in my heart, as I have tried and written about many of their products over the past couple of years.
The helpful consultants in store can custom make a gift to suit your requirements, just give them some details of the recipient and a budget and "Hey Presto" a beautifully presented gift will be made with "rain" Love!
You will be surprised as to how much your budget will buy in comparison to other similar imported brands, as being "local" they are not subject to fluctuating exchange rates.
You can order on line or visit their website for store locations and if you live in the USA don't despair, as rain can now be found in New York and for the rest of the US you can order from their US website.

Here are some of my "faves" for gifting and I would be thrilled to find any of these under my tree this year!

RAIN BIOLOGIE SANITISING HAND GEL {REVIEW}

Recently rain have introduced a very handy sized (44ml) Sanitising Hand Gel,
which forms part of their Biologie Range.
(BIOLOGIE is an eco ethical range, formulated using organically certified botanical ingredients and wild harvested plant oils and extracts)

There are several hand sanitising, waterless, gel type products on the market most of which I have to admit are not very good. This type of product is becoming more and more popular and personally I never go anywhere without one, not that I have an OCD problem, but often situations arise where I need to wash my hands and water is not always on hand.

For me it's imperative that the gel:
  • Leaves no sticky residue behind after you have applied.
  • Most contain alcohol, which is the sanitising part,so therefore must include some moisturising ingredients.

The key is not to use too much, otherwise they do leave your hands feeling sticky.
I am pleased to report that the rain Sanitising Hand Gel, which by the way contains, soothing Lavender and Tea Tree oil, passes my "test".
I also like the size and convenience of the packaging with its flip lid, which fits easily into your handbag, gym bag or nappy bag.

I have to admit that my personal favourite is the
which permanently has a place in my bag, but the rain Sanitising Hand Gel is a close second and at R49 its well worth a place in any ones life.

Rain Biologie Sanitising Hand Gel R49
