VIKTOR&ROLF FLOWERBOMB #TBT REVIEW

I lifted out of my sample jar a VIKTOR&ROLF vial to review as part of
my Sunday Sample post only to realise that I had already reviewed this fragrance back
in October 2017.
My opinions on this fragrance unfortunately haven't changed from what
I originally thought...

It's surprising how many spritzes you can get out of a 2ml vial fragrance spray, which meant that I used my FLOWERBOMB Eau de Parfum sample from designers VIKTOR&ROLF several times during the past week.

Initially I wasn't a fan of the heady whirlwind mix of Gourmand and floral top notes, which I found to be quite intense and sweet, so it didn't do it for me, but then on the dry down I did somewhat enjoy the softness of the Freesia, Rose, Patchouli and then the linger of Amber and Musk.
Created in 2005 FLOWERBOMB is classified as an Oriental/Warm fragrance and therefore develops better in a colder climate and I found it to be too heady and intense even in the Durban winter.
Despite having a loyal fan base worldwide, its beautiful bottle and delicate pink packaging this fragrance just wasn't for me, but if you're a fan of FLOWERBOMB notes then this could be one to consider, so next time you're passing a fragrance counter give yourself a spritz.

Top Notes:
Bergamot
Mandarin

Middle Notes:
Jasmine
Osmanthus
Freesia
Rose

Base Notes:
Deep Amber
Patchouli

SUNDAY SAMPLE

I haven't posted a Sunday Sample for so long and my sample collection is
building considerably, so this week I thought I would review 2 fragrance samples.
Neither of these brands or fragrances are new, but they're both popular and the fragrances just happen to be ones that I haven't tried before.

Both brands have similarities, as they stem from fashion houses that were founded by friend partnerships, one from the Netherlands and the other from Italy.
I will wear them during the week and give you feedback
back next Sunday as to who they would best suit and how they both wore on me.

FLOWERBOMB
 VIKTOR&ROLF
EAU DE PARFUM

Viktor & Rolf is a fashion house and it was founded in 1993 by Dutch designers
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren and as with so many fashion houses a signature
fragrance soon followed.
Classified as a Floral Oriental.

DOLCE & GABBANA
POUR FEMME
EAU DE PARFUM

Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury fashion house founded by Italian designers
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
One of their earlier creations D&G Pour Femme is classified as an Oriental and
having tried a couple of D&G previously it is a brand I enjoy.

Let me know in the comments section below if you have tried either of these
two Sunday Samples.
