SUNDAY SAMPLE

I haven't posted a Sunday Sample for so long and my sample collection is
building considerably, so this week I thought I would review 2 fragrance samples.
Neither of these brands or fragrances are new, but they're both popular and the fragrances just happen to be ones that I haven't tried before.

Both brands have similarities, as they stem from fashion houses that were founded by friend partnerships, one from the Netherlands and the other from Italy.
I will wear them during the week and give you feedback
back next Sunday as to who they would best suit and how they both wore on me.

FLOWERBOMB
 VIKTOR&ROLF
EAU DE PARFUM

Viktor & Rolf is a fashion house and it was founded in 1993 by Dutch designers
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren and as with so many fashion houses a signature
fragrance soon followed.
Classified as a Floral Oriental.

DOLCE & GABBANA
POUR FEMME
EAU DE PARFUM

Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury fashion house founded by Italian designers
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
One of their earlier creations D&G Pour Femme is classified as an Oriental and
having tried a couple of D&G previously it is a brand I enjoy.

Let me know in the comments section below if you have tried either of these
two Sunday Samples.

SUNDAY SAMPLE

This is the second product that I'm reviewing from my Marks & Spencer
Beauty Advent Calendar 2017 and the first was a hit a huge with "moi"

To read my Eyeko Black Magic Mascara Review
I was happy to find a product included from the highly regarded French brand
 NUXE
a brand that I've written several blogposts about and just happen to love

NUXE Precious Scented Shower Oil

This shimmer shower oil will be put to the test this week and seeing
that I love the fragrance of the Prodigieux Oil I can't see
why I wouldn't love this product as well.

The generous 30ml size will allow for several uses, so check back on Sunday
to read my review and see if it's worth putting on your Valentines Wish List.

SUNDAY SAMPLE

I'm on a bit of a roll with my Sunday Sample posts, as I have several new ones in my jar and seeing
it's the run up to Christmas I thought this recently launched fragrance sample called
LA MIA PERLA by LA PERLA
would be a good one to try out this week.

As always the Christmas season is huge for
perfume sales and even for me, someone who has spent my whole career dealing
with fragrances, I still find the array on offer sometimes daunting and often confusing.
We are bombarded with advertising and promoters in stores eagerly waiting to spritz what's new on offer, that it can sometimes make for a rather unpleasant and expensive experience.
I did write a post several years ago that was aimed at males, but it can be just as useful
for females and I hope it helps to clear the fragrance mist...

Check back on Sunday to find out more about LA MIA PERLA.

SUNDAY SAMPLE

This weeks Sunday Sample pick is another Kiehl's product, which I was recently given when I purchased my
Kiehl's adopt a " try before you buy" policy and several sample or trial sizes are always offered to you upon purchase to suit your skin type. However in this case it was a generous trial size of a hair product that I was given and you've guessed it...it went in the sample jar.
Pop back on Sunday and read my blog to find out what my views were on this
Sunflower Color Preserving Conditioner.

SUNDAY SAMPLE NIVEA IN-SHOWER BODY MOISTURISER {REVIEW}

This weeks Sunday Sample trial is on the NIVEA In-shower Body Moisturiser.Nivea claim it's a new convenient way to moisturise. This body moisturiser is used in the shower,as the wet skin quickly absorbs the caring formula with Sea Minerals;

250 mls approx R40

The sample that I tried was for Dry skin (they have one for normal skin) offered a very generous amount of product and thankfully I only used half of the sachet.Once opened you really notice the fragrance, but to be honest even though it was pleasant, I found it too highly perfumed and luckily I don't have a sensitive skin, however Nivea do say this product is Dermatogically tested.

Even though I have read many good reports on this product since its launch, I found it to leave a rather unpleasant layer of grease that seemed to sit on my skin throughout the day rather than a pleasant moisturised feel. Whilst it may be convenient, quick and easy to use (wash, rinse, apply Nivea In-Shower,rinse,towel dry and you are ready to go) and for many affordable,
I still prefer to apply my moisturiser post shower and one which leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished.

Confession: I actually showered again later that evening to remove the awful film on my skin.
Sorry but this product was a huge #Fail for me....

SUNDAY SAMPLE

What came out of my jar this week?
I am excited for the next Sunday Sample review as my "hubby" will be giving his opinion on this recently launched fragrance AZZARO CLUB MEN and no doubt I will be adding my input also.

SUNDAY SAMPLE YVES ROCHER {MOMENT DE BONHEUR}

As you maybe aware over the past few months I have been using several products from the French brand Yves Rocher and I have been thrilled with all of them. I recently received a miniature sample bottle of one of their fragrances Moment de Bonheur Eau de Parfum in a free gift.

I have to admit that I am somewhat of a fragrance "snob" and that was the main reason that this sample ending up in the jar, the other reason was the packaging. (I have mentioned previously in one of my posts about the packaging of Yves Rocher being confusing due to its mix of colours and it has a distinct lack of appeal for me) I have already found out that this book should not be pre judged by its cover or by its inexpensive  price.
When I started my Sunday Sample post some weeks ago I agreed that I would use and review the samples that were in my jar no matter what and that's what have I have done over these past Sundays. I honestly expected this fragrance to be a once off wear, then write my review and move on.
Well... guess what? I have discovered another little gem.

Launched in 2011 Moment de Bonheur translated from French means a Moment of Happiness.
The scent is dedicated to the beauty of rosa centifolia from Grasse. The composition is by perfumer Annick Menardo, who is known for being a brilliant and inventive perfumer...
Classified as a floral/woody fragrance thanks to the clever mix of
honeysuckle, vanilla, peach flesh, peppery dragée, artichoke steeped in Madeira wine
and the woodiness comes from patchouli and cedar.
I adore the smell of honeysuckle, vanilla and peach, so this fragrance has to be a hit for me and it was!
It also had a decent degree of lasting power and what's more important I enjoyed wearing it and I even had a couple of comments from friends who also expressed their like and shock at both
the brand and the price.
R395
50ml Edp

All I can say is that I have been a fragrance "snob" for too long and my new found transition is all thanks to my
Moment of Happiness...

Yves Rocher is available at selected Woolworths, Truworths Fashion,

pharmacies and salons countrywide

SUNDAY SAMPLE

This past Sunday I picked out of my sample jar a miniature bottle of Yves Rocher Moment de Bonheur Eau de Parfum, which I received in a free gift recently.
Admission time again...I am quite fussy when it comes to fragrance and this unfortunately joined the jar purely because I didn't like the look of the packaging.

You will have to wait until Sunday to read whether it was a "hit" or "miss" with fussy me!

SUNDAY SAMPLE {OPI AVOJUICE SKIN QUENCHERS HAND & BODY LOTION}

I must say that the trial size of the OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers Hand & Body Lotion that I pulled out of my sample jar last week, has been a very pleasant surprise. I received this in a goodie bag some time back and I must be honest, it really didn't appeal to me hence it got tossed into the jar.
How wrong I was to ignore this little bottle of mango smelling body lotion.
The fragrance of Mango is strong, so if you are not keen on fruity fragrances then this may not be for you, there are however floral varieties available like Jasmin,Ginger Lily, and Hibiscus Blossom.
The mango fragrance warms as your body warms the lotion and I found it to be very long lasting.
Consistency wise the lotion was light, yet I found it to be ideal for the humid Durban summer.
The 30ml trial size retails for R40 and is available at Sorbet salons around South Africa. It makes a perfect travel companion as a body lotion and fragrance all in one and I have my eye on the Hibiscus Flower next.

SUNDAY SAMPLE

I have to say that I am really enjoying the random dip into my sample jar every week.
This week I pulled out of the jar a trial size of OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers
