LA ROCHE-POSAY TOLERIANE ULTRA {REVIEW}

As you may or may not know I normally test out skincare products for
a minimum of 3 months or until the product has completely finished,
before writing my review.
This product is the exception to that rule, as I could literally feel from the
first couple of applications that this product was going to be a hit
with me and my skin.
The French skincare brand  LA ROCHE-POSAY is without doubt one of
my recommendations if you have a sensitive intolerant skin,
whether it be a permanent or just a temporary condition.
The TOLERIANE range of products is targeted for the most intolerant
and very sensitive of skins and brings immediate comfort and relief.

I have been trying out several of their products recently and here are
 my reviews so far...

Whilst I don't have a sensitive skin there are occasions when my skin
just needs a break from my usual more active anti-ageing products .
Sometimes we get so focused (I know I do) with firming,
brightening, lifting and keeping the lines at bay, but
after 40 years of being in the business of beauty and knowing my skin
I elect several times a year to just give my skin a break for a week or so
and give it a "Skincare Holiday".

I basically swop out my day and night cream for one dual purpose product
that is stripped back of all fragrance, active ingredients and just focus's on
 soothing,calming,balancing and strengthening the skin.

My past product of choice has been for several years now
the Shea Face Soothing Fluid from L'Occitane
and interestingly the TOLERIANE ULTRA also contains the wonderful benefits of
Shea Butter.

 LA ROCHE-POSAY TOLERIANE ULTRA
is an intense soothing cream for face and eyes and after a couple of weeks of
use it has firmly secured a spot in my skincare arsenal.
Its rich smooth formula contains soothing and calming ingredients to help
de-sensitise the skin whilst intensely hydrating and providing all day comfort
to my skin.
This product can also be used around the eye contour and applied both
day and night, which makes this a perfect all over product for my
 "Skincare Holiday".

What I also enjoy about this product is the fact that the purity of its
contents is always ensured with the airless safe packaging technology,
especially useful as I only use periodically throughout the year.

LA ROCHE-POSAY
is free from
Parabens
Preservatives
Alcohol
Colourants

and Lanolin

FILORGA MESO-MASK {REVIEW}

Having heard so many good reports on the brand FILORGA I was excited to
find a generous 15ml sample in my M&S Beauty Advent Calendar and what a
perfect way to be introduced to both the brand and this particular mask
The MESO-MASK

Here's a quick overview of
FILORGA

Filorga's high-performance medical anti-ageing solutions
(hyaluronic acid injections, anti-ageing mesotherapy, glycolic peelings)
have been used by leading aesthetic medical practitioners and surgeons in
 over 60 countries.
Filorga now markets MEDI-COSMETIQUE®, the first dermo-cosmetic
product range in France to be
directly inspired by non surgical anti-ageing procedures.
For over 35 years, Filorga’s high performance medical solutions have
been providing specialised solutions to combat skin ageing.
Today, Filorga has become a leading provider of anti-ageing solutions for both
the medical profession and general consumers.
Combining the best of two worlds, cosmetics and aesthetic medicine,
FILORGA’s MEDI-COSMETIQUE®
products have launched over 58 products that deliver
optimised, clinically proven effectiveness in a premium packaged product with a
luxurious and sensory texture.
The MESO-MASK offers the following benefits from regular use:

The skin is plumped-up, smoother and is radiant with a fresh and healthy glow
All signs of fatigue disappear
Enhances skin by improving luminosity and radiance.
Treats wrinkles and erases signs of fatigue
Skin is plumper and refreshed, glowing with health

This mask is suitable for all skin types
Apply a generous layer to the whole face, eye contour, neck and cleavage
and leave for 15 to 30 minutes.
Use once a week for a month,
then space-up the sessions by 2 weeks during 2 months.

This clean, fragrant, rich, yet delicate mask felt extremely comfortable
and luxurious and my skin , but I'm not sure I would,
from one use, tell you it's a must buy mask.
However my generous sample has several more applications in it and I feel that
to be fair I would have to re-visit this post in a month times to update my opinion.
However having said this, if you are already a Filorga devotee then this mask
would be a great asset to have in your Filorga beauty regime.
It will no doubt re-enforce the effects of their other products and range as a whole.
What it has done for me is made me more curious to try out some other
products in their range.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW (MAY 2018)

Thanks to my UK Kiddiewink being a "cosmetics mule" yet again
I have some interesting products currently under review, so watch out for my
full reviews coming up soon.

1.

L'Oréal Smooth Sugars Glow Scrub for Face & Lips has recently been
launched in the UK and L'Oréal do make some good affordable face masks.
Hopefully they'll bring this range of 3 scrub masks over to South Africa soon.
I really enjoy their Pure Clay Glow Mask,so I do have high
hopes for this Glow Scrub.

I had seen this interesting product, Multi-Protecting Hydrating Mist
from Garnier, last year on my visit to the UK.
It's from their Moisture Bomb range and I had it in my shopping basket
and then for some reason I put it back on the shelf.
Again this product is not available in South Africa, but we do have
the Moisture Bomb sheet masks. It appears to be a product that would
work well in the South African market, as it contains an SPF 30 and other
protecting and hydrating properties all in a handy mist form.

3.

These two products have been added to my UK shopping list since my last visit
and Rodial have some really interesting named products and these two masks
from their Dragon's Blood range caught my eye.
I have never used a specific Lip Mask, so that will be a first, but I do enjoy a good
eye mask. Again this brand is not available in South Africa.

My favourite Eye Mask, for some time now, has been the
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask,
 so I'm very interested
to see how this Dragon's Blood Eye Mask compares.

This product wasn't actually on my shopping list, so it arrived by default,
but I'm excited to try it anyway.
NIP+FAB is actually the more affordable sister brand of Rodial
and was available in South Africa up until several years ago.
My "Kiddiewink" was unable to buy the requested PIXI Glow Tonic Pads, as I
have been using the PIXI Glow Tonic for about 18 months now and I was curious to
put the pad version to the test.

NIP+FAB have a similar product in the Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads,so
I was happy with the substitution.
