I have been using the 

ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN OVERNIGHT MATRIX 

for what seems like forever, so I thought it was time that I give you

my thoughts on this Wrinkle Smoothing Night Cream now, 

after 3 months of using, rather than wait for my jar to finish.

Plus I'm so excited to tell you about this product, as it delivered on 

everything it promised and I love it...

has been a dream to use.

I agree 100% on all of the above and I must also make mention

how wonderful this night cream smells, as it has that beautiful

 ELEMIS

 "Spa in a Jar" aroma.

As you would expect from a night cream I found the formula to be

 a heavier one, yet it was non oily and not occlusive on the skin at all.

It glides onto beautifully and despite using nightly for

the past 4 months I have perhaps just over a 1/3 of my jar left, which

make me happy, as this night cream carries a premium price tag!

Personally my skin has never felt and looked so smooth, nourished, 

firm, yet relaxed and dare I say it "more youthful" & "bouncy"

since using ELEMIS consistently for the past 6 months.

Simply...this #1 British skincare brand makes my skin happy

 and in turn that makes me very happy.

My skin is looking great for it's age, so really what more could

I ask for from skincare products.

P.S This has to be, maybe, my 12th ELEMIS product review

and non of them have been PR Gifts (I wish they were)

all have been purchased, so these reviews are totally unbiased

and authentic.

Having used the French skincare brand Avène since it was first launched in 

South Africa I cannot believe this Soothing Radiance Mask has escaped my attention.

I'm so glad that I've finally discovered it and it's a mask that I highly recommend

as a must have face mask in your masking collection.

It's a non drying true moisture bath that leaves your skin refreshed, 

calm and comforted. Ideal for application post peels, after sunburn, if your skin feels tight, 

irritated, or just simply dehydrated and dull.

This was a first for me as, it was the first time using anything from this

cutting edge of high-performance, age-defying American skin care brand

ZELENS and I was blown away.

This next generation, reviving treatment foundation helps reduce signs of stress

 and fatigue while creating a perfectly smooth, even-toned complexion 

with a glowing finish.

Even though I only reviewed this product from a sample I already have it on

my wish list.

This is also another first for me as I've never tried any products from the 

Dermatologist developed brand 

EXUVIANCE

Exfoliating products are my beauty "thing" and this one did not disappoint 

and its become one of my favourite exfoliators of all time.

The Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish is a completely 

innovative exfoliator that masters a triple-action approach to skin transformation

 in a single yet powerful treatment. It contains a unique blend of physical, chemical and enzyme rejuvenators and I love the product.

INTENSE 24H MOISTURISER

LUMENE from Finland is a brand that I have been soo enjoying and I

will be discovering more of in the future, but sadly it's not available in

South Africa.

This delightful clean fresh fragranced cream is light, almost soufflé like, 

quick absorbing and intensely hydrating from the very first application.

and I do love a good face mask and Kiehl's ticks all my masking boxes with a

in South Africa at Kiehl's stores countrywide.

The "Tell It All" name of this latest face mask offering from Kiehl's, sounded wonderful and I sensed I would like this mask before I even I tried the product.

2017 is my year for masking and so far I've successfully changed from a once a month mask person to a weekly multi masking addict...

This Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque helps to soothe, hydrate, and reduce signs of skin distress. This masque is incredibly lightweight, refreshing and the cooling gel  soothes immediately upon application.

With continued use of Kiehl’s calendula & aloe vera face masque, skin is revitalised for a healthy-looking complexion, however after only one application I can't vouch for this, but I have no doubts that it will, as it's formulated with hand-picked Calendula flower petals, which are packed with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties and

Aloe Vera is well known for nourishing and hydrating the skin by increasing the water content of the cells.

This masque can be used on all skin types and is gentle enough to use up to 3 x a week and should be applied as a visible layer and left for 5 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

STRIVECTIN TRI PHASE DAILY GLOW TONER {REVIEW}

StriVectin could well be a brand that you've never heard of and despite me

being aware of the brand I hadn't actually tried any of their skincare products.

That was until I was sent a couple of items from Mertoplolitain Cosmetics who are the

out of my skincare comfort zone.

So let's see how I got along with their

 Tri Phase Daily Glow Toner

As soon as I saw the words Daily Glow Toner I was excited, to say the least, as I'm

not only a huge fan of using toners post cleanse, but I'm also a lover of all things 

that make my skin glow at my age.

In my many years of experience Toners are often misunderstood, overlooked and horrifyingly ignored. 

Toners should be gentle, fast penetrating, deliver hydration and so much more. Adding a toner to your skincare routine is a simple and fast addition that can make a huge difference and having used toners daily since the age of 15/16 years I can vouch for their invaluable benefits.

I have been using, in particular, the PIXI Glow Tonic for several years now 
and I recently reviewed the Ready Steady Glow from REN and my PIXI 
is still the "Winner" in my opinion.

The StriVectin Daily Glow Toner is nothing like either of these two products

mentioned and for me truly stands out as being a very different type of 

"Glow Toner".

This 3-in-1 daily toner is the secret to a glowing complexion.

I found it to Instantly smooth, softens and replenish the skin, whilst
    it brightens, hydrates, balances and restores radiance for a glowing complexion.

A blend of skin transforming acids and nourishing botanical extracts, 

the main ingredients being: 

 Hyaluronic, Lactic and Mandelic Acids

 Squalane Oil

 Aloe Leaf

Calendula Flower 

Extracts NIA-114™ 

 This is a three-phase formula, so always remember to shake the bottle before use.
Surprisingly I discovered that this toner was extremely gentle and soft on the skin.
The StriVectin was very different to the others that I had tried as there was no stimulating sensation within the skin or visible stimulation and for anyone that has used either of the 2 above mentioned Glow Tonics will know what I mean.

My skin was left feeling hydrated, soft and over time I began to notice that
 "lit-from-within glow" that is so often spoken about and without doubt
I was able to notice mine and I loved it. 

Despite the quantity(145mls) being quite small for a toner I was glad to see that there was no wastage, thanks to the dispensing hole being on the small side.
I also found that the product, due to its tri phase formula, sat on top of 
the cotton wool pad and didn't really absorb, which ultimately avoided even 
more product wastage.

Initially I honestly thought that this product was way too gentle to uncover 
any glowy skin, but with prolonged use, I was proven completely wrong.
StriVectin is a serious results driven skincare brand and one that will take your
anti-ageing beauty regime to the next level and with that it understandably 
comes at a price...

QUICKIE PRODUCT REVIEWS {QPR'S} FEBRUARY 2020

I cannot believe that it's already time for my February QPR post.

I have two products from the Italian skincare brand BioNike to tell you about, specifically for those mature skins experiencing hormonal changes.

Its also estimated that during the next decade 65% of cosmetic sales will

come from the more mature user.

 I have said on my blog many times that BioNike is a brand that you really

 cannot go wrong with when looking for effective, affordable and easily

accessible products for sensitive or allergy prone skins.

I also have a slightly disappointing product from my normally much loved

Dutch wellness brand

 RITUALS...

1.

Product : Defence My Age Renewing Night Cream

Price : R345

Size : 50mls

Launched last year the BioNike Defence My Age range comprises of 3 products

that are all beautifully packaged in midnight blue glass, which looks extremely Luxe

and I have been lucky enough to put 2 to the test.

Formulated to strengthen skins resilience and enhance your beauty after the age of 50

 by improving skin’s natural ability to cope with ageing and effects caused by those

inevitable hormonal changes.

Based on the Skin Resiliency Complex, it is enriched with Japanese cedar extract 

and every dry skins's best friend, Shea Butter and Hyaluronic Acid.

 Formulated for mature skin to counter skin dryness, dull skin tone 

and loss of skin compactness caused by a drop in hormone levels.

The rich, soft and fast-absorbing texture comes with a delicate floral-marine scent

and is a range to certainly consider if your skin is looking for hydration,

suppleness and radiance.

Verdict :  8/10

Product : Defence My Age Intensive Renewing Serum

If you haven't yet introduced a face serum into your beauty regime and you are over 

the age of 50 then I highly recommend you look into this one.

Serums always contain the most concentrated of active ingredients.

As with the other 2 products in the My Age collection the serum is based on the

 Skin Resiliency Complex, it is enriched with Argan extract to enhance the 

effects of both the night and day treatments. 

The serum can be used daily under both.

 It has a silky, fluid texture and as with the day & night cream it has 

the same divine floral-marine scent

This trio of products work together to counteract skin dryness, 

loss of radiance, compactness and suppleness caused by a 

drop in hormone levels. 

The skin is left smoother, radiant and more supple.

Verdict :  8/10

CREAM ON 

NOURISHING BODY CREAM

Price : £6.90

Size : 100ml

I have over the last couple of years purchased several products from

The RITUALS of AYURVEDA range and have raved about them, however

part of my 2019 LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar contained

a 100ml size of The RITUAL of HOLI Body Cream, which sadly 

I'm not going to rave about.

Infused with the scent of Pink Grapefruit and Flamingo Flower I found the fragrance 

to be sweet, delicate and pleasant.

The formula of the body cream is where my disappointment lay and despite

the claim that it's a rich, nourishing cream I didn't find it to be so.

I  don't have particularly dry body skin and despite applying to slightly

damp skin as they recommend my skin just didn't feel well nourished.

Verdict :  4/10
