SUNDAY SAMPLE

I'm back home in South Africa and back into the swing of blogging and
I have to admit I did go a little crazy on the beauty shopping front, but along with those purchases came several free samples and this weeks trail product is a good one.

I was lucky enough to be given a couple of samples from the prestige brand
EVE LOM with my purchases from SpaceNK in London.

The Eve Lom RadianceTransforming Mask, which was launched during 2018,
is first up and I'm excited to give this a try, as I've heard lots of great things about
several of their now Iconic skincare products.

My skin has been longing for some TLC since my return, so this Radiance Transforming Mask will be a much needed intensive treatment that claims to reawaken the skin with a megadose of Antioxidant rich botanicals.

So pop back on Sunday to find out if my slightly stressed post holiday skin has been "Transformed"...

LORÉAL UNLIMITED MASCARA {REVIEW}

Last years launch overseas of the L'ORÉAL Paradise Exactic Mascara
was a huge success and finally it's now available here in South Africa.
It's only taken a year for it to arrive on our shelves, but as they say
"better late than never"

This rose gold beauty made it onto my Top 5 Make-Up Products of 2017
as I loved it, so much that I had organised several UK back-ups,
 so I wouldn't be without.
(so thankfully I don't need to do that anymore)

It seems as though I'm experiencing Dèja Vu as the same has happened
again with another new mascara launch from L'Oréal.

Unlimited Mascara
was recently launched in the UK and I managed to get my beauty hands
on one and yes I can announce already that it will be appearing on my
Top make-up list for 2018.
So L'Oréal seem to be on top of their lash game and this mascara is a game changer.
and it's all thanks to the innovative brush, which was inspired by a make-up artist
hack, it bends at 2 different angles, allowing for precise application.

The Unlimited Mascara ensures that every lash is volumised, lengthened and
perfectly separated.
The brush coats the lashes with a creamy, non-clumpy formula which glides on perfectly to volumise, lengthen and define every last lash. Top, bottom, inner, outer, long, short… no lash is left uncovered.

It makes applying mascara so much easier and I
can't believe just what a difference applying with a bendable wand has made.
I wish we had more brands adopting this wand technology
Possibly we don't see more bendable wands due to the cost factor and the only other similar mascara is the Lancôme Grandiose, which also have a bendable
Grandiose Eyeliner.
(which happens to fall under the L'Oréal umbrella)

Initially I thought the bendable wand was a little gimmicky,
but I was so wrong as for me its revolutionised the way
we apply mascara.

The bendable mascara wand makes for precise application
and reaches every lash from corner to corner.
It lengthens, volumises, defines and separates lashes
and the intense black finish is great for achieving
high impact lashes.
The formula is long wearing and does need a little more
time on the removal front.

I have done an "about turn" on this mascara and I
highly recommend and I just hope it arrives in
South Africa soon...

Let me know in the comments below if you know of any
other mascaras that have a bendable wand.

FEELUNIQUE BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR 2018

I do love a good, value for money, Beauty Advent Calendar and every year the selection on offer in the UK just keeps expanding.
Unfortunately this concept of having a daily, surprise beauty treat behind 12/24 or 25 doors hasn't caught on in South Africa, partially due to the cost factor, so therefore very few brands import them into the country.
The only brands that I'm aware of having calendars in SA are L'Occitane, which currently have two on offer their current 2018 (which looks great) and the 2017 calendar, which suggests to me that their sell through on last years didn't meet their expectations
The Body Shop usually have two or three on offer at varying price points.
New onto the Beauty Advent Calendar scene this year is Clarins, they have a 12 Day calendar packed with skin & body care and make-up deluxe sizes.

I also write an annually series of blog posts about the Beauty Advent Calendars available in the UK and based on this I try to organise "by hook or by crook" to get one brought
to South Africa and last year it was the Marks & Spencer's multi brand calendar which made it to these shores via my "LondonKiddiewink" which I was thrilled about & I'm hopefully, fingers crossed, going to receive another one for this December.

However during my research I came across this multi brand "goodie" from the UK online  beauty store FEELUNIQUE.

Housing 24 doors or boxes to be precise, it contains many mid to high end, either full, deluxe or sample sizes of many products that I've been looking to try.

Now I understand that via my research I am taking away any element of surprise but converting Rands to Pounds I can't afford to make any poor choices, so I need to know the contents, but I still get excited to open each day.

This beauty Advent Calendar contains a mix of skin, body and hair care products
as well as some make-up items and a make-up brush.

Brands include:
Crabtree & Evelyn
Charlotte Tillbury
REN
Ciaté
Revlon
FAB
Caudalie
and many more

Let me know in the comments section below if you can see any of your favourites.
