RITUALS AYURVEDA NOURISHING RICH BODY OIL {REVIEW}

My favourite range from RITUALS is the Ritual of Ayurveda
and this passed week I have been indulging myself in a
30ml deluxe sample size that was in my 2022 Advent Calendar.

The Ritual Of Ayurveda
Nourishing Rich Body Oil

As a reminder this range is one of Rituals Classic collection
and for me smells divine, the 2 core ingredients are

INDIAN ROSE
As a universal symbol of purity and love, the sweet and delicate aroma
of the rose evokes positive feelings.
Its aroma also has soothing properties.
It is all you need to boost your mood! The refined aroma of Indian Rose
 also has a positive effect on your skin!

SWEET ALMOND
Sweet Almond helps to exfoliate and polish the skin gently.
 It's known for several skin benefits; it helps soften, deeply nourish
 and promote healthy skin.

The luxurious formula contains three Ayurvedic oils which are especially
 well-known for their intensely nourishing benefits,
such as nourishing sweet almond oil, moringa oil for its anti-inflammatory
 properties and hydrating coconut oil.
The rich body oil offers deep and instant hydration and keeps the skin soft
and protected.
It's perfect if you've got very dry skin.

~~~~~~
Warm the oil between your hands and gently massage the rich formula
 onto your body.
This rich body oil contains 97% ingredients of natural origin.
~~~~~~

Some time back I reviewed the Ritual Of Ayurveda Dry Oil
and only gave it a 5/10 on my Quickie Product Review, so I was
a little concerned that I may not enjoy this body oil either,
but the 2 products couldn't be more different.

As the name suggests this oil is rich, very rich and a little is all
that's needed for skin to be left feeling incredibly nourished and the
fragrance is magnified as the oil warms on your body, so if like me you
 want all the Indian Rose and Sweet Almond scent you can get,
 then this product has it.

With hindsight February and temperatures of 30c+ maybe wasn't
 the ideal time to review a rich body oil, but I can tell from my
weeks trial that this will be the saviour of many winter dry skins,
so bring on Winter.....

CLARINS MOISTURE-RICH BODY LOTION {REVIEW}

I was first introduced to the original Clarins Body Lotion back
during my beauty therapy training days in the late 1970's.
I had a Saturday job in a Clarins salon and one of
my job functions was to sanitise the sunbed and prep the cubicle
for the next client.
Those fortunate clients had a Clarins Body Lotion (Corps Soyeux)
that they could use post treatment and that delightful, fresh fragrance
has stayed with me forever and I remember the texture of the cream coloured
 lotion being so velvety and rich.

So as you can already gather I was longing for this 2022 formulation to bare
some similarities to the original despite many years of reformulations and
re- packaging.

CLARINS
Moisture-Rich Body Lotion

Thanks to its concentration of shea butter, the Moisture Rich Body Lotion
has been formulated to nourish and hydrate all skin types, even the driest.
 Its naturally-sourced extracts of organic raspberry water, tamarind pulp acids
 and organic oat sugars soften and smooth the skin.
First off this rich cream has a new aroma and formulation, just as
I expected, so there were no similarities whatsoever.
(Can I be blamed, I was just looking for the nostalgia)

It does however have a lovely melting texture that pretty instantly
 penetrates the skin, meaning you can get dressed immediately
after applying.

It's nourishing and strengthens the skins barrier and leaves your skin
feeling well moisturised, comfortable and soft.
I cannot say much more about this rather pricy product other than,
as you would expect from Clarins and as the name suggests,
it is a lovely Moisture-Rich Body Lotion.

L'OCCITANE SHEA RICH BODY LOTION {REVIEW}

 Apologies for not posting any product reviews for the past 2 weeks,
alas I was caught in the "thick" of the civil unrest here in South Africa.
Anyway I'm back and picking up where I left off with my "Sunday Review"
on the L'Occitane Shea Ultra Rich Body Lotion.

As with any product containing Shea Butter you immediately know that it's
 going to be nourishing and moisturising for the skin and L'Occitane are
without doubt the experts when it comes to "all things Shea" as they've
 been at it since 1980, when L'OCCITANE started up a fair and
sustainable partnership with the women of Burkina Faso.
At first, there were around 100 women. Now there are over 10,000,
working to develop the shea butter supply chain.
Shea butter is at the core of their product line-up and their best selling
Shea Hand Cream is perhaps the most well known Shea product in the world.
L'Occitane have a vast selection of products for both face & body, within
 their Shea Collection and in order to make it easier for you decide which
Shea product is right for you they have included the % of Shea Butter
inside the blue circle on the front of each and every Shea product.
The higher the %, the more concentrated the product has of Shea Butter
and therefore better suited to very dry skins.
The percentages in their Shea collection range from 10% to 100%.

The Rich Body Lotion contains (15%) organic shea butter and calendula,
the Rich Body Lotion nourishes and instantly brings comfort to dry skin.
It leaves the skin lastingly hydrated for up to 48 hours after application.
Its fluid formula helps soothe feelings of tightness, offering day after day
 protection against skin dryness.

It has that distinctive "Shea" soft clean fragrance and I found it to be ideal
for my skin during winter, but for drier skins you may have to opt for
the Ultra Rich Body Cream (25%) or in severe cases the
Shea Melting Butter which contains a whopping
 70% Shea Butter to combat extreme dryness.
In cold months, or when skin is especially dry or flaky, you can
combine the use of the Shea Rich Body Lotion
 in the morning and Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream at night.

As always L'Occitane rarely disappoints and you cannot go wrong
with this product for everyday moisturising body care.

QUICKIE PRODUCT REVIEWS {QPR'S} DECEMBER 2019

Just in the nick of time here is my last QPR post for 2019
ENJOY!

1.

Brand : FREEMAN BEAUTY
Product : Beauty infusion Purifying In-Shower Mask
Sea Kelp + Probiotics
Price : R140/R39
Size : 118/15mls
Available : Dischem

The Los Angeles based Freeman Beauty seems to have been around forever,
over 43yrs to be precise and for me they stand out as being the Face Mask brand,
but they do so many more products for bath, hair and body.
Strangely I have never used one of their masks previously and to be honest if I hadn't
been kindly sent one by their PR recently I most probably would have kept
overlooking them on the shelves.
This In-Shower mask had my attention though, as if I can make my shower time,
also time a time to mask, then it's a win win situation.
This serum-infused gel mask works while you shower. The Sea Salts and Sea Kelp get to work
to boost,renew and clarify the skin.
Apply it to dry face and neck before showering and then at the end, gently massage to
exfoliate and rinse. Use twice a week.
Easy Peasy...

Verdict :  7/10

2.

Brand : NATUR VITAL
Product : S.O.S. REVITALIZING SHAMPOO for NORMAL HAIR
Price : R94.95
Size : 300mls
Available : Dischem

I have never seen this Spanish hair care brand or even heard of it, until a bottle arrived
for me to try.

This shampoo with Phytoactive Complex and extracts of Ginseng and Aloe Vera
nourishes the scalp and protects the hair.
The Phytoactive Complex, derived from germinating Wheat and Soybean seeds and arelineenergy and the necessary nutrients for strengthening capillary growth.
Aloe Vera extract together with Pro-vitamin B5 hydrate and protect both hair and scalp from external damaging factors while vitamins A, B3, B7, E, F and H maintain the scalp’s natural balance.
Suitable for frequent use, it helps to strengthen fragile hair and prevent splitting.
Hair is hydrated and left smooth and shiny.
Whilst I haven't been using long enough to comment on the strengthening aspect I can
tell you that I've been loving this shampoo, as it leaves my hair feeling clean, whilst not feeling stripped of oils.
It does feel soft and looks shinier than normal and I was pleasantly
surprised yet again with a product line that I would normally overlook on the shelves of
Dischem.This brand has a large selection of haircare products and I'm particularly interested
in trying out their range for hair loss, the bane of many peoples lives.

Verdict :  7/10

Brand : BIONIKE
Product : Bionike Defence Body ReduXCELL Body Reshaping Boost
Price : R295
Size : 200mls
Available : Dischem

Its that time of the year, YES its Summer and time to squeeze into the cozzie.
Like many people I cast an eye over the body shaping lotions and potion isles
 and just move on, however this
Bionike Defence Body ReduXCELL Body Reshaping Boost caught my eye.

 This Anti Cellulite lotion has a lightweight, fast-absorbing texture designed to counter cellulite. Makes skin firmer and visibly improves the look of lumpy, dimpled skin.
Based on the special “AlgaFor Shape Complex” set of ingredients, having a strong lipolytic effect, and comes with a massaging roller applicator, helps to reduce stored fat and counters new fat build up.
I must say that I have been enjoying using this product purely due to the roller massager being incorporated in the tube and not being a separate massager.
The lotion glides over the skin and doesn't leave any sticky residue, as for the reduction in
cellulite and dimpled skin I'm secretly hoping...

Verdict :  7/10
