DIOR BOUTIQUE - BEIJING

Calling all DIOR fans...

This is a video showing the new DIOR store located in the China World Mall, Beijing. 
This is the 3rd and largest DIOR boutique in China and as you will see in the video, it's stunning and some of the furniture pieces are nearly as desirable as the merchandise that adorns them. 
The point of difference with this boutique is not only its size, but it also offers some exclusive limited items, so if you are looking for a new twist on the Diorama bag, then you may like it in metallic lizard or blue and pink python, no doubt like me you want it all....furniture included.

SAINSBURYS CHRISTMAS TV ADVERTISEMENT

The UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's have recently launched their extended Christmas tv ad.
It has become somewhat of a tradition for the larger chains to produce special videos at Christmas and last year I featured the Marks & Spencers ad on my blog.
This video was made in conjunction with the Royal British Legion and by all reports has been extremely well received and once you have viewed you will understand why.
The chocolate bar that appeared in the video will go on sale soon in all Sainsbury's stores.
It’s packaged in the same fashion as it would have been in 1914; it’ll cost £1 and the profits will go to The Royal British Legion.
So 100 years on from the 1914 Christmas truce, this campaign remembers the fallen, while helping to raise vital funds to support the future of living”.

Be warned.. it really is heart wrenching and yes I had a little "blubber".

L'OCCITANE DIVINE YOUTH OIL

I am approximately another week away (I am busy finishing off another serum) from starting my trial of the new addition to the L'Occitane Divine Anti-Ageing range that was launched recently in South Africa

I have known about this product for some time and being
South Africa's biggest fan of the Divine range (I have just bestowed this honour upon myself),
 I am super excited, as I have read and heard so much about this product,
 as with most things I don't get caught up in all the hype.
As a 50 something year old,  I want to see and feel the results for myself before
I jump onto any hype bandwagon.

Knowing how much I love the Divine range I am really expecting great things from this star product. (No pressure L'Occitane) 

For me using a product that helps to combat the signs of Ageing is serious business
and I take my reviews just as seriously.

Unfortunately you will have to wait till January to see whether this Divine Youth Oil from the French brand L'Occitane lives up to my "Divine" expectations.

WAYNE GOSS - A NEW WAY TO APPLY MASCARA

Here is another video and tutorial from my "fave" make-up artist Wayne Goss. 

This time he is showing us a great tip on how to apply mascara and create curl on the lashes that lasts.

WAYNE GOSS - COMPLETE GUIDE TO DESTROYING YOUR MAKE-UP BRUSHES!

I came across this interesting video by Wayne Goss on how to destroy your make-up brushes.

I am happy to say that when I trained as a Beauty Therapist, many moons ago my parents bought me a very expensive set of make-up brushes that came in a beautiful cream silk roll bag, and I still have and use the powder brush today. 

No doubt the others have been lost over the years and as for the cream silk roll.... 

cream was not the correct colour for make-up brushes to be kept in, 

so that didn't stand the test of time.

MY FIRST VIDEO BLOG

Well it's done, my 1st Video Blog is up on You Tube, so there is no going back now.

I have to say "it was nerve wracking" and all came about due to the French brand L'Occitane approaching me to a video and a written review on their New Generation Divine Range....and essentially forcing me out of my comfort zone.

As to whether there will be a video no. 2 well!..that all depends on how well this one is received, but I won't hold my breath for a career on TV....

I hope you enjoy and feedback is appreciated, but only positive, as I am a sensitive soul...

I just have to share this video with you from Wayne Goss and I have tried this tip and 

it really does give you the eyeliner look.

It's great if you don't have a steady enough hand to draw that line on your upper eyelid.

WAYNE GOSS RANT VIDEO

Oops he is at it again..

Wayne Goss is having a little rant about Private labelling.

In the video he explains his frustration at a beauty item selling for treble the price just because a brand or designer name has been stamped on the item.  

I understand completely what he is saying, but there are many people out there that are willing to pay the higher price all because of the branding and while there is a demand there will be a market.

It has been taking place especially in the cosmetic business for years and I am sure it will continue for many more...

I have to say that mixing your concealer with an illuminating or radiance enhancing moisturiser

worked for me and as he mentions in the video it really does give the effect of no foundation, whilst at the same time concealing and covering.

I loved the natural effect and so did my lines and wrinkles...I have to admit I do have just a few!!

I suggest you give this a try for those lazy days and let me know if it worked for you.

CHRISTMAS WITH MARKS & SPENCER

I have to admit that after 30 years of living in South Africa I still miss that festive and Christmas atmosphere that UK retailers have to offer. The Christmas decorations in the stores and the fairy lights that can be seen in the high streets and even though its dark at 4pm and often cold and rainy I still miss that build up to Christmas. 

One of the UK's most famous retailer and mine, M&S have gone all out this year with some wonderful advertising campaigns.

Check out what happens in this magical TV commercial if you fall down a hole!

I think this is a great advert and derserves a couple of plays in order to pick up all that is happening.

MAKE UP TUTORIAL FOR MATURE EYES

Here is another make up video by the Welshman Wayne Goss.

Today he focuses on applying eye make up to a mature eye area.

(That's a polite way of saying "old")

I fall into this mature category and it does become increasing more difficult to achieve a smooth make up look when the skin on and around the eye becomes more crapey and puffy with age.

I love the fact that Wayne applies the make up on himself rather than onto, an often flawless beauty.

WAYNE GOSS BRUSH COLLECTION

I have been posting several make up tutorial videos recently by

UK make up artist Wayne Goss, which I have really enjoyed and I hope you have enjoyed them also.
Great news, he is soon to launch his own set make up brushes.

His collection of 8 soft brushes have been hand made in Japan

 and are made with cruelty free bristles and hair, which apparently has been very hard to source.
