CHRISTOPHE ROBIN DELICATE VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER {REVIEW}

Like me, you may not have heard of this French haircare brand
Christophe Robin
I was first introduced to this range via a Skins Cosmetics beauty box, that contained luxury samples of a variety of International niche brands and I have found some real gems in this Beauty Box like the
Christophe Robin Volumising Paste

I just adore that product and I did go onto buy the full size and I'm still using today, so my love of that product led me to recently buy the

Christophe Robin Delicate Volumising Shampoo
with Rose Extracts
& the corresponding
Christophe Robin Conditioner Conditioner
with Rose Extracts

Just to re-cap on the creator of the brand:
French man Christophe Robin, has been an A-list colorist for more than 20 years, created in 1999 his hair care line selecting powerful natural ingredients for recognized long term results. Christophe Robin, the self named haircare range has been developed through years of experience and passion and has been specially formulated to care and protect colour treated hair.

With age and menopause many woman experience hair thinning and after having a head full of thick, yet fine hair, I've definitely noticed my hair has lost volume, become thinner and the fine texture has become more coarse and it's all a normal transition, as we advance in years.
I have found myself though now looking to hair products that help with volume as that nowadays seems to be my main hair focus and for me Christophe Robin has given me in 3 products just what I have been looking for from a haircare range.

Don't be fooled by the product ranges' simple packaging, as it's functional and more importantly it's the contents that must "speak" to you and "speak" to me they do.
The softly rose fragranced products not only smell great , but the textures also feel great.

The gel shampoo gently cleanses while restoring volume and body. Its acid pH closes the hair cuticles to reduce pigment loss and maintain a vibrant, fresh-looking colour, whilst the cream conditioner detangles, restores body and creates natural volume and lift for fine coloured hair, without drying or weighing it down.
Both products have been formulated to be used on fine, coloured and sensitive hair
and the shampoo can be used daily.

The conditioner, for me was the star of this combo as it left my hair feeling well conditioned, light and each strand of hair seemed to be noticeably thicker and fuller.
Having long hair it detangled perfectly
and this was all whilst making my hair smell of delicate roses.

So far all 3 of the Christophe Robin products that I have tried have been huge hit
with me and there's possibly one more that I may invest in and I say invest as the range here in South Africa doesn't come cheap, but when it comes to hair and skin care I try not to compromise.

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN CLEANSING PURIFYING SCRUB WITH SEA SALT {REVIEW}

Contrary to what the name suggests,
Christophe Robin's
Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt
is a product for hair and not the face.
In short its a scalp exfoliator and shampoo that cleanses, removes buildup,
and soothes sensitive, flaky, and oily scalps and its the type of product
that I have been wanting to use for time.
I believe that our scalps need to be exfoliated regularly just as we exfoliate
our face and bodies, but finding this type of product has been difficult
especially here in South Africa, so I'm very happy to have had chance to
experience this one from Christophe Robin.

To read my other Christophe Robin Product Reviews

The cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt is ideal as a detox treatment as it cleanses, purifies and restores balance to sensitive or oily scalps.
It can also be used as a post-colour treatment to sooth tingling and itching sensations.

I wrote about my own Hair Detox many years ago, as I personally need
to put my hair and scalp through a regular detox to rid it of a chemical,
product and skin build-up.

The Cleansing Purifying Scrub by Christophe Robin forms part of a
3 product range that is aimed to purify and detox the hair and scalp.

The scrub contains large grains of mineral-rich sea salt, which are very evident in the white paste and salt being a natural exfoliant you can certainly feel it
both cleanse the scalp and stimulate the blood circulation and it's a wonderful
invigorating sensation that leaves the scalp and hair feeling incredibly clean.
In addition, any chemical traces of colour and impurities are naturally removed.
Other 100% plant-based ingredients in this scrub ensure that even after rinsing,
the scalp is still hydrated, soothed and itch-free.

Within 24 hours of use, the moisture content of the scalp is back in balance and irritations are considerably reduced and these effects can last for up to
four days after treatment.

This Christophe Robin scrub is free from parabens, silicones and colorants.
Recommended for Sensitive scalps, Oily scalps, Men & women.
Can be used once or twice a week as a shampoo

Detox treatment:
Apply the equivalent of a tablespoon on damp hair.
Gently massage the scalp, add a trickle of water then lather, concentrating
on the nape of the neck.
Rinse thoroughly and apply a nourishing treatment on the lengths and ends depending on your hair's condition.
For a more intense effect: leave on for about two minutes before rinsing.

Post-colour soothing treatment:
Ideal for eliminating chemical residues, which have become embedded on the scalp. Instantly soothes itching and calms irritation.

I'm 100% sold on this product, as it left my hair and scalp feeling incredibly
fresh, clean and more importantly for me, my hair felt light, almost
weightless, which has never happened previously with any other hair products.
As a shampoo the foam is rich, thick and voluminous, again like nothing
 I've EVER tried.
It is without doubt a unique product and I cannot recommend
this product enough, especially if you suffer from any of the above
 hair or scalp issues.
I also believe the pricing of this type of product is very good as the entry
size of 75mls will give you plenty of deep cleansing washes.

I'm currently using this product once a week, however I'm sure I will
drop back to once every other week in the future.
As a heads up this product has already been added to my
Top Hair & Body Product list for 2021
thats how much my hair loves it...

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN CLEANSING PURIFYING SCRUB WITH SEA SALT #TBT REVIEW

I'm only throwing it back to March 2021 with today's
Throwback Thursday review.
The prices thankfully have remained the same.
P.S. I still love this product....

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN VOLUMISING PASTE {REVIEW}

No I haven't written a review on Christopher Robin, read again it's Christophe Robin and I'm sure like "moi" you're wondering who the heck he is.

I was a little sceptical to say the least about this rather obscure (obscure to me)
 unusually named hair cleansing product.
Christophe Robin Volumising Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay
and Rose Extracts
is a deep cleansing treatment for fine hair lacking in density, which
is exactly how I would currently describe my hair.
It also has a rather unusual appearance, as it looks like more
an exfoliator or body scrub.

This unique clay-to-foam shampoo is formulated to help create beautiful volume
while absorbing impurities and oil from the scalp and
give instant volume at the roots and density down the lengths.

Consisting of 85% natural origin ingredients this formula is a unique blend
of pure Rassoul Clay, with densifying and re-mineralizing benefits,
protective rose extracts and Limnanthes extract to help preserve and
enhance the hair color.

This surprising paste-like texture transformed instantly into a light foam,
and its transformation was pure magic, as I was expecting to seriously work
this product into my hair and scalp to have any foaming, cleansing effect.
Despite not looking too great in the pot the product has a slight rose fragrance
and more importantly for me, was easy to rinse.
I didn't do my normal double shampoo, as my hair and scalp felt cleaner than its
ever felt before just after one application.
It was easy to rinse despite using too much and having mountains of
from on my head and it certainly didn't add to my dreaded tangle situation
due to my hair being both long, fine and highlighted.

How To Use:

On wet hair: use a tablespoon worth of product (more or less, depending on the length
of your hair) rub into your palms, and apply all over your hair.
(As I found out on my first use, use much less than recommended)
With a delicate touch, make circular motions until you feel the paste turn to foam,
and make sure you lift the roots. Add a little water, emulsify, and rinse well.
For an intensified effect: let it sit for 2 minutes before you rinse.
(which I did)

PARABEN/SILICONE/SLES

This product surprised me on so many different levels, its name, its appearance,
the way the consistency completely transformed once applied to the hair and
the volumising results it gave down to the delicate fragrance it left
in my hair.
I was utterly blown away with this product and if you read my product reviews
regularly, you will know that it takes an outstanding product to make me use the
 term "blown away".
After using twice in the past week my hair felt soft, thicker and incredibly clean.
I was also able to go longer between washes, which is a Win Win situation.
I was so impressed that it's on my overseas shopping list.

Please let me know in the comments below if you have used this product before
or the Volumising Shampoo, as I tempted to buy both.

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN VOLUMISING PASTE #TBT REVIEW

This post dates back to October 2018 and I still use this product today.
Having never previously heard of this brand, my introduction came via
a travel size in a curated Beauty Box from Skins Cosmetics Sandton
(they have now opened 2 more stores in Menlyn and V&A Shopping centres).
I did go onto buy the full size of the Volumising paste along with the
Volumising Shampoo and Volumising Conditioner and loved them both.
