BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {MAY 2023}

I have quite a colourful array of beauty products to try out over the
 next few weeks, which includes a Hand Cream from an Australian
 brand that I know nothing about, so I'll have to some research
on that one.
I also have a Body Cream and a hair product from two of
my favourite brands and a Vitamin C Serum that I'm really
looking forward to using, especially as we now have the brand
in South Africa.

L-R

LIEF
BORONIA
HAND BALM

This is a new brand for me and it hails from Australia and was
part of the 2022 Skins Cosmetics Christmas box.
It's a full size product that's exclusive to Skins Cosmetics and with me
 hand creams are always put to good use, so expect my full
 review soon.

RITUALS
RITUAL OF HAMMAN
BODY CREAM

As you may well know, I'm a huge fan of RITUALS, so I'm
always excited to try any of their products and this 100ml
Body Cream was a loyalty gift and for anyone that knows and loves
RITUALS they do excellent free gifts.

SUNDAY RILEY
C.E.O
VITAMIN C BRIGHTENING SERUM

It's the ideal time of the year to include a Vitamin C serum into
my beauty routine and I always like to do this post and pre summer.
The Sunday Riley does this with science-based formulas and clinically proven
 effective ingredients, resulting in plant-based skin care products that
make your skin soft, smooth and radiant.
I'm pleased that Sunday Riley is now available in South Africa
from Skins Cosmetics.

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN
INSTANT VOLUMISING
LEAVE-IN MIST

One of my absolute favourite French hair care brands and one that my
hair responds well to, was also in the Skins Cosmetics Christmas box
and it's a product that I haven't tried before.
With age my hair has become, without doubt, thinner and less voluminous,
 so any product that helps will be a winner in my eyes.
I highly rate the Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner with Rose Extracts,
as it really creates more volume.

I'll let you know how I fare with this Volumising Leave-In Mist.

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN CLEANSING PURIFYING SCRUB WITH SEA SALT #TBT REVIEW

I'm only throwing it back to March 2021 with today's
Throwback Thursday review.
The prices thankfully have remained the same.
P.S. I still love this product....

~~~~~~
Contrary to what the name suggests,
Christophe Robin's
Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt
is a product for hair and not the face.
In short its a scalp exfoliator and shampoo that cleanses, removes buildup,
and soothes sensitive, flaky, and oily scalps and its the type of product
that I have been wanting to use for time.
I believe that our scalps need to be exfoliated regularly just as we exfoliate
 our face and bodies, but finding this type of product has been difficult
especially here in South Africa, so I'm very happy to have had chance to
experience this one from Christophe Robin.
The cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt is ideal as a detox treatment as it
cleanses, purifies and restores balance to sensitive or oily scalps.
It can also be used as a post-colour treatment to sooth tingling
and itching sensations.
I wrote about my own Hair Detox many years ago, as I personally need
to put my hair and scalp through a regular detox to rid it of a chemical,
product and skin build-up.
The Cleansing Purifying Scrub by Christophe Robin forms part of a
3 product range that is aimed to purify and detox the hair and scalp.
The scrub contains large grains of mineral-rich sea salt, which are very evident
 in the white paste and salt being a natural exfoliant you can certainly feel it
 both cleanse the scalp and stimulate the blood circulation and it's a wonderful
invigorating sensation that leaves the scalp and hair feeling incredibly clean.
In addition, any chemical traces of colour and impurities are naturally removed.
Other 100% plant-based ingredients in this scrub ensure that even after rinsing,
 the scalp is still hydrated, soothed and itch-free.
Within 24 hours of use, the moisture content of the scalp is back in balance
and irritations are considerably reduced and these effects can last for up to
four days after treatment.
This Christophe Robin scrub is free from parabens, silicones and colorants.
Recommended for Sensitive scalps, Oily scalps, Men & women.
Can be used once or twice a week as a shampoo
Detox treatment:
Apply the equivalent of a tablespoon on damp hair.
Gently massage the scalp, add a trickle of water then lather, concentrating
 on the nape of the neck.
Rinse thoroughly and apply a nourishing treatment on the lengths
and ends depending on your hair's condition.
For a more intense effect: leave on for about two minutes before rinsing.
Post-colour soothing treatment:
Ideal for eliminating chemical residues, which have become embedded
 on the scalp.
Instantly soothes itching and calms irritation.
I'm 100% sold on this product, as it left my hair and scalp feeling incredibly
fresh, clean and more importantly for me, my hair felt light, almost
weightless, which has never happened previously with any other hair products.
As a shampoo the foam is rich, thick and voluminous, again like nothing
 I've EVER tried.
It is without doubt a unique product and I cannot recommend
this product enough, especially if you suffer from any of the above
 hair or scalp issues.
I also believe the pricing of this type of product is very good as the entry
size of 75mls will give you plenty of deep cleansing washes.
I'm currently using this product once a week, however I'm sure I will
drop back to once every other week in the future.
As a heads up this product has already been added to my
Top Hair & Body Product list for 2021
thats how much my hair loves it...
MONTHLY FAVOURITES {MARCH & APRIL 2021}
I have 5 "faves" for you today and as I predicted ELEMIS
skincare features again this month and it does so with two great products.
I have experienced their wonderful Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and
their Super Serum Elixir.
My hair and lips were treated to products that they loved and I also
got to experience a wonderful new skincare brand and facial at the
award winning Spa in the iconic 5* Oyster box Hotel.
As always I will link the full reviews in Pink
1.
CHRISTOPHE ROBIN
 CLEANSING PURIFYING
SCRUB
WITH SEA SALT
My love for the french haircare brand Christophe Robin isn't
waning, in fact its growing with this cleansing scrub.
The cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt is ideal as a detox treatment
as it cleanses, purifies and restores balance to sensitive or oily scalps.
It can also be used as a post-colour treatment to sooth tingling
and itching sensations and I'm loving how clean it makes my scalp
and hair feel.
2.
TATA HARPER
ILLUMINATING FACIAL
AT THE OYSTER BOX SPA
This has, so far, been a beauty highlight of the year and I cannot
 wait to return for another TATA HARPER facial at the Oyster Box
Hotel Spa, as it was not only a divine treatment, but it was a
great introduction to the USA natural skincare brand TATA HAPER,
which has recently launched both their retail products and
salon treatments at the RED CARNATION Hotels Spas
in South Africa.
I also have two of their skincare products that I will be reviewing
in the future.
3.
ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
SUPER SERUM ELIXIR
This Super Serum is an anti-ageing concentrate
 that has been formulated to plump, smooth and nourish
 the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I've been using this serum now for nearly 3 months and this concentrated
active serum has been an absolute pleasure to use.
To find out more about this super serum and its benefits
4.
BURTS BEES
LIP SHIMMER
The luminous lip shimmers glide on with the perfect complement of
moisture and touch of delicate colour that looks
great alone or over the top of your favourite lipstick.
I found it to work well over the top of all my lip shades.
The inclusion of Peppermint gives the lips that fresh invigorated plump
 feel which I personally loved.
5.
ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
CLEANSING BALM
This hero product in the ELEMIS range is just as good as I expected
it to be and then some. If you are a lover of cleansing balms then this
is truly a "must have" and a read of my review is advisable to find out
why I and thousands of fans love it so much.
Let me know in the comments below if any of the above products are your "Faves".
BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW [MARCH 2021}
I have 4 products under review during March and of course there had to be
another ELEMIS product from the Pro-Collagen Stars of the Show gift set.
If you would like to know what that wonderful set contained
I also have a newly launched product that amazingly combines
Vitamin C & Retinol and promises to seriously brighten and correct the skin.
Another is a haircare product that I have been wanting to try for some time
and is from a French brand that I love and lastly I will be reviewing
a Lip Tint that was somewhat of an impulse purchase.
Christophe Robin
Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt
I already have 3 products from this French haircare brand and I
adore them all, so I was excited to recently find this generous
sample in the Holiday Skins Cosmetics box.
It's a scalp exfoliator and shampoo that cleanses, removes buildup,
and soothes sensitive, flaky, and oily scalps.
I sense this may turn out to be expensive again, as my splurge
on their Volumising Paste all stemmed from me trying the product
in exactly same way, so lets call it Deja Vu.
StriVectin
Super C Retinol
Brighten & Correct
Vitamin C Serum
I was intrigued by this product from StriVectin as it has managed to combine
 the brightening power of Vitamin C and the correcting power of Retinol
in one supercharged, lightweight serum.
I've been intending to re-introduce a Vitamin C Serum into my skincare
regime for sometime and I'm glad I hadn't, as this sounds like the
perfect combo.
As always my review will only be up after at least 3 months of trial
however I will give regular updates over on my IG.
Elemis
Pro-Collagen
Cleansing Balm
I have heard so many great things about the Elemis Cleansing Balm
and being a fan of the EVE LOM Cleanser, which is very similar by all accounts,
so I'm extremely keen to try this award winning cleanser.
This was another inclusion in my Elemis Christmas Gift set and it came with
it's own cleansing cloth. This gift just keeps
 on giving me luxury skincare products to try and review for you guys.
Clarins
Water Lip Stain
I already sense that I'm going to regret this rather rushed purchase
and whilst my reason for buying this type of product was sound,
 I couldn't try the tester in store due to Covid Protocols and that's
where the problem lies.
Sadly I would advise against buying any new colour products
right now for this very reason, otherwise you could make
rather expensive mistakes.
