ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN EYE REVIVE MASK #TBT REVIEW

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of ELEMIS skincare product and todays
#TBT Review only goes back to February 2021, but its become a firm
favourite of mine and a product that I recommend often.
If you are concerned about the initial price, I can confirm that this
eye mask lasts a surprisingly long time and really works out to be
good value for money.
The one thing that has changed since I wrote this review is the number
of retailers that now stock ELEMIS whether its online or in-store we have
a much better selection than ever before and ELEMIS South Africa have their
own on-line shop ELEMIS SOUTH AFRICA

~~~~~~
Having reviewed several products from the British skincare brand
ELEMIS
I can now official say that it's fast becoming one of my favourite skincare brands.
If you would like to catch up on my previous ELEMIS reviews
I currently have under review a couple of products that came in my
Christmas gift of the
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Stars of the Show Set
and it's a gift that keeps on giving and I love it...
I have many more ELEMIS product reviews coming up.
If you would like to read my post showing the contents of that set then
Everything in the set excites me, yet when it comes to eye products
I must admit I do get a little more than excited.
Eye products are often overlooked as being non-essentials in a skincare
regime and I often hear or read the following:
"It's an area where I can save money"
"I can't afford one"
"They don't work"
"I use my moisturiser or night cream over the eye area"
"My eye area is good I don't need to use one"
'I'll think about using one when I see the lines and wrinkles"
As you can imagine, as someone that has been using an eye cream
since my very early 20's I can but cringe when I hear these types of responses,
especially when that person is standing before me wearing super expensive
shoes and clothes.
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but those clothes will be long gone when
you are 60, yet your skin will still be with you, so the choice ultimately
is your's to make, but I for one have been extremely happy with my
decision that caring for the skin around the eye area is as important
 as caring for the skin on your face and body.
Little Rant over...
ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN EYE REVIVE MASK
Anti-Wrinkle Multi-Use Eye Mask - brightens - rejuvenates - hydrates
A serum-infused eye mask that minimises the look of wrinkles, whilst
targeting the look of puffiness and dark circles.
This moisture-plumping eye mask is formulated with next generation
Flash Filler Hyaluronic Acid, wrinkle-reducing Watermelon Snow Algae and antioxidant-rich Bush Clover to deeply hydrate and reduce the visible effects
 of tension and strain around the eye contour.
I have seen a noticeable difference with the hydration of my skin and I find
the bouncy gel texture to be both smoothing, comforting and refreshing.
There is absolutely no feeling of product left behind on the skin once applied.
The texture is also like no other that I have tried before, as it's almost
"cloud like" and it was soon apparent
that after the first application a "less is more" approach needs to be adopted
as a small amount covers a large area, making this product a very cost
effective eye treatment, considering its a multi-use product.
For optimal results, use daily or a minimum of 3 times a week.
Apply a thin layer to the eye contour and either layer under makeup
 in the morning, over make-up during the day or leave on overnight.
What I really enjoy about this product is the versatility, as this
 3-in-1 formula can be used as an overnight anti-ageing mask,
a hydrating under-eye primer and a moisturising rescue balm, during the day.
Personally for my mature skin I find I can quite easily use this as a
nightly eye cream and I also like to apply during the day, especially
if I've been having too much screen time.
Due to its versatility its fitted perfectly into my current beauty regime
 and I'm reaching for it more often than I first thought I would.
Research & Development where skincare is concerned is changing
fairly rapidly, especially when it comes to multi tasking products
and I think ELEMIS have nailed it with this
Anti-Wrinkle Multi Use Eye product.
If you are searching for an Eye Cream upgrade,
then this could be one to consider.
ELEMIS ABSOLUTE EYE MASK {REVIEW}
I've been on the lookout for an Eye Mask for sometime now and whilst there are plenty
under eye patches available etc., I couldn't find too many specific cream masks that you apply around the eye and remove after 10 minutes or so and I finally opted for the
ELEMIS ABSOLUTE EYE MASK
I've reviewed several items now from ELEMIS and if you want to catch up with my
thoughts on the items already reviewed then click on the pink link below
I've been so diligent with eye creams/gels etc. since I was in my early 20's, as its always been my area of skincare concern,I really didn't want to have deep seated lines and wrinkles around my eyes and being such a delicate area it soon shows your age if neglected in your daily beauty routine.
I don't shy away from spending money on good eye products and hopefully its paying off,
as I feel my eye area looks far more youthful than many other women of my age.
Clarins Eye Gel by the way, was my "go to" for many years and as you would expect,
 with age my eye game has stepped up to include both
morning and evening application and then I moved onto anti-ageing formula's, then I introduced under eye patch type eye masks to my beauty regime and now
I'm moving onto a specific eye mask that will nourish and smooth the eye area.
What appealed to me about this ELEMIS ABSOLUTE EYE MASK was the inclusion of
Precious absolutes of Rose and Mimosa that are blended with soothing Cornflower extract and Camellia oil to help counteract dullness and dehydration lines, leaving the eye contour revitalized and rehydrated.
This delicate treatment has been formulated to lift and support your eye tissue, increasing cell renewal,revitalising and brightening the eye area.
Can be used 2 to 3 times per week.
After the skin is cleansed, apply sparingly around the eye bone area.
Avoid direct contact with the eye lid and inner eye area.
 Leave for 8-10 minutes and remove with moistened cotton wool pads.
You may experience a slight tingling sensation on application
(which I didn't experience)
This product also has a very controllable pin point nozzle, which I love on
any product, as it controls the amount dispensed and not only avoids wastage
but makes the product go further and judging by the amount I've used already
it should last me a long time and be cost effective in the long run.
The formula is lightweight and didn't cause any puffiness whatsoever which always a concern with eye products.
This eye mask has been a pleasure to use and has slotted perfectly into my beauty life and is a "must have" product for those tired travel eyes and especially when
experiencing cold winter climates.
Since using this eye mask its made me realise that I should have introduced early
into my regime.
So far with 4 ELEMIS products reviewed I'm enjoying the brand, so expect more
ELEMIS reviews in the future...
PIXI DETOXIFEYE DEPUFFING EYE PATCHES {REVIEW}
I haven't tried many products from PIXI, but they do happen to make my favourite
exfoliating Toner in the form of the cult PIXI GLOW TONIC.
It's been a daily fixture in my skincare regime for several years now and despite having
a couple of "beauty detours" to try others, I always gravitate back, as its simply
The Best
On my recent trip overseas I picked up the latest skincare product from PIXI the
PIXI DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches
As you know, I always make a list of products that have caught my eye throughout the year
from brands that are not available in South Africa and this was not on my
UK Shopping List.
In fact a very similar product was the
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches
Unfortunately they were out of stock in several places and I was convinced by the consultant to try these new ones from PIXI and they tuned out to be half the price of the Peter Thomas Roth ones.
Formulated to revive, refresh and rehydrate the delicate eye area for visibly smoother, soothed and fortified skin.
The inclusion of hyaluronic acid gives an instant surge of moisture that in turn plumps and smooths skin and fine lines, caffeine helps to depuff and diminish the appearance of dark circles while a host of hard-working plant extracts help to energise and refresh skin.
This jar of DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches (each container holds 30 pairs)
Simply use the enclosed spatula to lift and apply each hydrogel patch to the
 under-eye area and leave for 10 minutes and discard after use.
Gently pat remaining serum into skin. Do not wash off.
Use daily, or as often as needed.
Store in the fridge for extra depuffing effect, I can vouch, its bliss...
I must say that they are a little fiddly to lift out of the container, even with the spatula, as sometimes to you pick up two patches, but they're so worth the "fiddling".
These eye patches were my absolute "eye saviour" on my last trip to the UK, as lets just say "there were lots of tears" and without these magic depuffing green jelly pads my eyes
would have been nothing short of a disaster zone, that only
an eye lift would have been able to rectify.
They did everything that the brand claimed and I would repurchase without
hesitation, but those Peter Thomas Roth ones are still calling my name...
QUICKIE PRODUCT REVIEWS {QPR'S} SEPTEMBER 2019
I have several QPR'S to tell you about this month as I didn't do one during August.
The first one is a little random, as its not a true beauty item, but hey it makes my car smell beautiful so it's classed as beauty...
1.
Brand : YANKEE CANDLE
Product : Smart Vent Clip
Red Raspberry
Price : R100
I'm a huge fan of both Yankee Candle Candles and their selection of car fragrance.
Having tried their  Car Jars and Car Vent Sticks I thought I
would try the Smart Vent Clip .
I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to berries whether they be Raspberries
or Strawberries I just love them both, so I had to try this Red Raspberry fragrance.
This ingenious little clip delivers big fragrance. You simply clip it into your
vehicle’s dash vent and the fragrance is released as air flows from the vents.
An adjustable slide lets you decide just how much fragrance is released and a window shows you when it’s time for a new one.
Lasts up to 6 weeks.
Verdict : 7 /10
Brand : LA GIRL
Product : PRO PREP COLOUR CORRECTING PRIMER
Shade : Cool Pink
Price : R125
Size : 30mls
Exclusive to Dis-Chem Pharmacies
Prep skin for makeup application while correcting skin tone. This nourishing formula contains sodium hyaluronate and vitamin B to help hold moisture and improve skin appearance, while chamomile and cornflower extract soothe skin.
Available in 4 colour correcting shades and 1 colourless option. Choice is dependant on what correcting is your priority.I'm always looking for a primer to illuminate and brighten my skin and lucky I don't have any issues with redness or hyper pigmentation.
The Primer glided well over the skin and felt comfortable in terms of moisture.
 It performed well as a primer , but I'm not too sure about how much illuminating and brightening it gave to my skin, but bear in mind that the older we get, the more we demand from products that claim to brighten and illuminate.
Considering it's a drugstore brand, at a drugstore price, it performed reasonably well,
but there are better available, but with a much higher price ticket...
Verdict : 6/10
Brand : SKIN REPUBLIC
Product : BRIGHTENING EYE MASK
Price : R49.95
Size : 3 pack 23mls
I have to say I wasn't expecting great things from this Brightening Eye Mask
and yet again I find myself praising a product that I was previously
sceptical about.
The market seems to be flooded at the moment with all kinds of sheet masks
and to be honest I find them a FAFF to use, as they never fit my face etc.
An eye mask on the other hand I'll use and even though this is a complete over the eyes and nose mask, which also was huge on me, it was easier to manipulate and position.
Containing 3 masks and loads of serum, this triple action cooling eye serum not only brightens, reduces puffiness but it also refreshes tired eyes thanks to Vitamin C, niacinamide and liquorice extract.
I loved this mask, it was effective on all counts and offered good value for money,
as the excess serum left over in the pouch could be used as an eye serum without the mask. I give a big thumbs up to this eye mask...
Verdict :  8/10
