MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL SKY HIGH MASCARA {REVIEW}

I'm not a fan of Maybelline mascaras ever since I had a reaction to
one many years ago, I also didn't enjoyed the much raved about
Colossal Volume Mascara and their Falsies Volume Mascara.
Putting those aside I had to try their recently launched and super
hyped mascara
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara is a mascara that grants
 incredible lash length and volume.
This washable formula is both easy to apply and buildable, ideal to highlight
 your eyes with long-wearing intensity.

The silicone brush, which I love, is precise and allows for both a quick
and effortless application that reaches every single lash, even my
most shortest.
Exclusive Flex Tower mascara brush bends to volumize and extend
every single lash from root to tip.

Apply as many lightweight coats as you like until you achieve the desired look,
as this mascara is buildable.
Each application coats the lashes with endless and long lasting
intensity and drama.

The formula doesn't flake or smudge and is easy to remove.
Featuring bamboo extract, fibers and also precious oils, the mascara
contributes to long, full and healthy lashes.

Equally important, the formula is allergy and ophthalmologist tested
and is suitable even for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

This mascara for me is a winner and it will go straight onto
my list of Top 5 Mascara List.
I recently (April 22) updated my Top 5 Mascaras and here is the
link if you want to check out which others I love and recommend

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {OCTOBER]

Here we are at the beginning of October and we only have
3 months left of 2022 and I can't believe it.
Here are the 3 products that will be under review in the coming weeks.

I have a body lotion from a fave brand of mine AVÈNE, a mascara
from a not so fave brand of mine MAYBELLINE and an exfoliating treatment
from a brand that I am aware of but, have never tried anything from
 before and that's
SUNDAY RILEY

All of these reviews will be a quick turn around and should be
posted very soon.

1.

SUNDAY RILEY
GOOD GENES

This was an inclusion in 2021's John Lewis Advent calendar
and I've been waiting to open and try this.
Good Genes is a deeply exfoliating treatment that reveals
instant glowing and radiant skin, whilst plumping the lines
and wrinkles.
I do love a good exfoliating product hence my excitement to
put this to use.

2.

AVÈNE
XERACALM

I have supported Avène for facial products for several years
and I recently had to call on their expertise with regards to a body
skin issue that I haven't suffered from previously.
I will put this lipid replenishing balm to the test and as always
report back with my opinion.

3.

MAYBELLINE
SKY HIGH
MASCARA

This mascara was launched recently in South Africa and I've read some
very good reviews, so I couldn't NOT buy one to try and review
despite, not being a previous fan of Maybelline mascaras.

DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS {MAYBELLINE MASCARAS}

Over the years I have tried many products that haven't really impressed me, so hence they don't get a mention on my blog or any of BSB social media platforms. Plenty have been purchased by myself and several have been sent by companies for me to use and then hopefully review....

So I thought I would write a post on some of the products that have been disappointing.
As with all of the posts that I put onto my blog the opinions are 100% my own and I totally understand that my views and experiences may differ from yours and that is what is so wonderful about the ever changing "world of beauty" we can all have differing opinions.

Some products we will love and some we just won't enjoy or our skin won't agree with, fast forward and products get re formulated and Hey Voila...with a second try we can fall in love with the once enemy.

These two mascara's were purchased out of desperation, as we went away sometime last year and I forgot to pack my usual tried n trusted mascaras.

I know it was horror moment.. No mascara, but a quick dash to town and this is what led to the purchase of the MAYBELLINE Colossal Volume Express and the Falsies Volume Express both in the colour black.(Both R135)

Many many years ago I remember trying a MAYBELLINE mascara and it was one of those products that didn't agree with me, as it made my eyes itch, so that experience has meant that I have shied away from this brand for all these years. I'm aware this very popular brand is perhaps best known for their enormous range of mascaras.

For me a mascara wand must feel comfortable in my hand and unfortunately the packaging of both of these mascara's were chunky and I didn't feel comfortable when applying.
My next issue, I found both mascaras had a very wet formula, which I normally enjoy, but for some reason this just resulted in plenty of clean ups after application, as it tended to smudge and leave splodges around my the lash area. For me they didn't really live up to what they claim on the packaging, as is often the case with many mascara marketing claims.

Unfortunately there was no "Hey Voila" moment as mentioned in my intro and I doubt I will ever return to try another MAYBELLINE mascara.

These mascaras are what I am currently loving:
