CAUDALIE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER [REVIEW}

You may have noticed that over the past 12 months or so, that I've fallen in love
with the French brand Caudalie and to date I have reviewed around 12 of their
face and body products
(all of which have been purchased by myself) and I'm happy to report
that I haven't yet reviewed a product from Caudalie that
I didn't enjoy or wouldn't enthusiastically recommend to you,
if you would like to read my reviews

Sadly that's all about to change with the
Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water
Whilst Micellar Waters form an important part of my skincare regime,
I don't use on a daily basis and for me they're ideal for travel, gym,
as part of a double cleanse or just on those lazy skincare days.

Caudalie say that this refreshing (which it is) daily-use (which it is) micellar water cleanses and removes make-up from the face and eyes in one single step (which it didn't)
I found this Micellar Water battled with both removing my face and eye make-up on those slightly heavier make-up days, remembering I'm not a full on, heavy make-up wearer.
Whilst it did remove, it certainly didn't do it in "one single step" as claimed.
So if you're a very light wearer of make-up or just want to cleanse the skin after gym etc then this product would be suitable.
Infused with soothing chamomile and moisturising grape water the skin feels comfortable after cleansing and leaves no feeling of tightness.
The fresh fragrance, which is pleasant, combines notes of mandarin tree blossom, lemon leaf, watermelon and fresh mint.

Suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, the gentle, soap-free formula is made up of 98% naturally derived ingredients that respect the skin's natural pH balance.
    Dermatologically and ophtalmologically tested.
And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used.

Whilst I will finish my product, I personally wouldn't re-purchase and sadly this is my
first Caudalie that I wasn't "Wowed by", but I sill adore this brand...

NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOST CLEANSER MICELLAR WATER {REVIEW}

I won't beat around the "Beauty Bush" with my review on this Micellar Water from the
Neutrogena Hydro Boost collection.
This extensive range and affordable collection of products has been formulated to replenish water and help to improve your skin's moisture barrier, resulting in smooth, hydrated skin.

Again I was somewhat influenced into buying something from this range by
social media and I really should have learnt my lesson by now.
Perhaps I have chosen to review the weakest product in the range and maybe their
other products are worthy of the praise.
I'm not even going to go into any of what this product claims to do and you all now by now what Micellar Waters are formulated to do,so I'm going to just get straight to the point.

Unfortunately I found this cleansing water to be one of those, what I like to call a "nothing" product.
I found it did "nothing" nothing more than if I had soaked a cotton pad in a toning lotion.

As you can tell I wasn't impressed with this product and maybe I'm being a little harsh, as it is an affordable drugstore brand, but if Garnier (also an affordable drugstore brand) can nail it with their Micellar Waters then why can't Neutrogena formulate a more effective product.
It sadly, on me, underperformed in removing even a light covering of make-up.
I must also make mention of the fragrance of this product, which I can't describe, but I found it unpleasant to say the least.

Thankfully I purchased this product on special for R77 so I didn't waste too much money, without doubt you'll be hearing about this product again in a future
Products I Didn't Finish & Why post.

MY TOP 5 SKINCARE PRODUCTS OF 2015

I tried many skincare products in 2015 some of which were not really worthy of a review, but here are my 5 top skincare products of 2015 and these are all very worthy of  being featured on my blog.
Let me know in the comment box below if some of your favourites are also on my list.
Enjoy!

1.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

The launch last year in South Africa of the Garnier Micellar Water caused quite a commotion in the beauty blogging world.
As with many new skincare launches I often let all the hype subside and then take
my own time to review, however I did wait rather a long time with this product
and I soon discovered that all the hype was justified and unfortunately I lost several months in getting to know this wonderful, value for money product.
This Micellar water still forms part of my daily skincare regime and I really couldn't imagine life without it.
For those of you who are already Garnier Micellar water converts, you will soon have available in South Africa the Micellar Water Wipes and I for one can't wait to try.

2.

L'Occitane Sublime CC Cream

Launched in the middle of 2015 I instantly fell in love with this Sublime CC Cream from L'Occitane and this is another permanent feature in my morning routine, whether I apply make-up or not.

3.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse

This product has been around for some years, but I only got to try during 2015.
The brand Nuxe was always on my radar and this product didn't disappoint and some more reviews on this French brand will be coming up in 2016

4.

KIEHL'S Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate

I have re purchased this product several times over the past year and I just love it.
I will be doing my all time "faves" of 2015 and this could be vying for top spot.

5.

I reviewed these two products together, so this actually means that I have 6 top skincare products for 2015 and not 5, but I couldn't possibly split them, as these have both been my daily cleansing and toning products since my review in May.
