CAUDALIE LIP CONDITIONER #TBT REVIEW

This Lip Balm from Caudalie review goes back to May 2019 and since
then my Lip Balm count has increased somewhat from a million quoted below.
I'm still a lip balm addict and ill provide a Pink Link below to all my

~~~~~~
I'm a self confessed sucker for Lip Balms and this one from the French brand
 CAUDALIE
must be my "millionth" one that I have tried over my many years,
maybe a slight exaggeration, but I seriously have put many to the test.
CAUDALIE has been my new found "French Love" and the Lip Balm, or Conditioner
 in this case, was always going to form part of my overseas CAUDALIE haul.
 I purchased a "special offer trio" of balms in their shop in Brugge Belgium
and I wished I had purchased another pack, as this lip conditioner has not
left my side since November 2018.
If you're looking for a nourishing and protective lip conditioner, one that repairs and soothes damaged lips after each application, then look no further than this one from the skincare experts
CAUDALIE.
    This Lip Conditioner glides easily across the lips and contains a delicate vanilla scent and with its anti-oxidant properties it delivers nutrition and protection all day long. Its texture instantly melts without a greasy effect and leaves your lips perfectly moisturized.
Formulated with 99% naturally-derived ingredients, the main ones are Grape Seed Oil, Apricot Oil and my absolute fave Shea Butter.This conditioner can be applied either alone or under/over any lipsticks and is especially comfortable over matte lipsticks, which can sometimes be drying to the lips.
And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used.
CAUDALIE VINOSOURCE INTENSE MOISTURE RESCUE CREAM #TBT REVIEW
 Following an e.mail received from a follower this week I thought I
would re-post my review on the
Caudalie Vinosource Intense Moisture Rescue Cream.
She was asking what cream should she use for the next few weeks as her skin
has become very dry skin during these winter months.
This product was one of my recommendations and rather than change her skin
care routine too drastically, she could easily incorporate this rescue cream
to supplement her skin with the extra protection and nourishment it needed.
So if anyone reading has a problem during seasonal changes, then this
 cream is one to consider.
~~~~~~

I declared that March would be Caudalie Month here on Beauty Shout box,
so here is another review...

The Vinosource Intensive Moisture Rescue Cream
was not on my "wish list" from Caudalie and its purchase came about by
necessity, let's say.
After 2 weeks of my skin being exposed to the cold elements of the
Northern Hemisphere's
winter, back in December, my skin was quite literally needing some rescuing.
After carefully considering my choice of products to take away with me, my day cream
choice was perhaps not ideal, hence the need for a richer more protective cream.
Towards the end of my trip the consultant in the Caudalie Boutique in Brugge Belgium very kindly gave me three generous sample sachets to try and try I did.
The key to the products function, is in its name, as the cream is intense and rich.
It's formulated to nourish and rescue very dry skin, replenishing hydration levels
and restoring comfort and using the contents of those samples night and day, did just that.

Now let's fast forward to a couple of weeks after my return from Europe and an unexpected trip was then planned for three weeks to the cold, wintry UK in       January and I knew that I had to get my hands on the full size of this                   Caudalie Skin Saver.
    The only stockist in South Africa is Skins Cosmetics in Sandton, Johannesburg and luckily  my youngest "Kiddiewink" was nearby and managed to get hold of one for me.    Armed with this "Skin Saving" cream my skin behaved beautifully, that's due to this product being packed full of super active natural ingredients:
 Grape Seed Oil (anti-oxidant and nourishing)
Olive Squalane (moisturising but non oily)
Shea Butter (super moisturising and softening)
Vinolevure (moisturising and deeply strengthening)
Polyphenols (anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle)

The fast-absorbing buttery, yet lightweight texture restores and comforts the skin quickly  without leaving a greasy finish.
Can be used over any serums and can be applied morning and evening.
Unfortunately this isn't a cream that I envisage my skin would need too often here in SA,as it's a rich and nourishing cream that soothes, repairs and protects very dry and dehydrated skin, but I'm sure it will be brought out in times of need.
And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. Dermatologically tested.
What makes this product an ideal travel companion in colder climes is the fact that it helps to restore that all important hydrolipidic layer and strengthen the skin's barrier function to lock in moisture and restore long-lasting hydration and I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

CAUDALIE MOISTURISING MASK #TBT REVIEW

Todays Throwback Thursday post dates back to January 2019 and it
was at the time where I was loving all things Caudalie
and without question I still do adore this French skincare brand and I have written
 many reviews over the paste 4 years or so and if you would like to read my
previous Caudalie product reviews click here

The Moisturising Mask was a SKIN SAVER for my skin, as I had two overseas winter trips
 that took my skin from the weather highs in South Africa to the weather lows in
Europe and the UK.
By the way I have since purchased the full size.

~~~~~~
After buying several Caudalie products whilst overseas in November I was given
several samples to try and the Moisturising Mask was amongst them.
 I purposely left this sample to take back over to the UK with me, as I knew that two
 trips back to back could potentially throw my skin into a bit of "skincare spin".
Fortunately my "skincare spin" didn't happen and that was partially due to
other Caudalie products that I'm trying out
(but more about those in the future).
Originating in vineyards in Bordeaux, Caudalie recycles the grape seed oil usually thrown
away during harvesting to produce pioneering natural formula's that create an effective
 and luxurious beauty range.
Having used a couple of Caudalie products previously I now
have several more to try out and I can already see that this French Skincare brand
is going to be a firm favourite of mine.
After 3 weeks in the cold winter of Europe and then home to South Africa
for just 3 weeks and back again to the UK for 3 weeks you can imagine my skin
was feeling parched, and somewhat stressed.
This surprisingly lightweight Moisturising Mask is the ultimate treatment and
certainly packs a beauty punch for dehydration.
Enriched with powerful, antioxidant-rich grape extracts – vinolevure to soothe and strengthen, grape seed oil to nourish and hyaluronic acid to attract and retain much-needed moisture – this revitalising mask infuses skin with precious nutrient to restore radiance and leave skin looking plump and dewy.
The sachet sample allowed for two generous applications and is applied in
the normal way.
Apply a thick layer twice a week on face, neck, and around the eye area.
Leave on for 15 minutes, then massage in the excess.
Follow with serum and/or moisturiser.
My skin felt super moisturised, comforted & soothed.
This mask just bathes your skin in everything it requires on the hydration and
moisture front and after just two applications
there were no visible signs any of the climatic damage that had taken place
 over the past 9 weeks.
I also enjoy that this mask can be used around the eye contour.
Hopefully I will have purchased the full size before I head back to SA, as this is
a must have mask....
RECENT BEAUTY EMPTIES {FEBRUARY 2020}
Finally I seem to be getting better at keeping my empty containers in order to
write a "Recent Empties" post for you and over the past couple of months I've managed
to save a grand total of 5, which must be an all time record for me.
As always I will include Pink Links to the original reviews.
Enjoy!
1.
NATUR VITAL
HAIR S.O.S
Revitalising Shampoo
I've been so enjoying this Spanish brand of shampoo,as my hair
 just seems to be responding to its formula so nicely, that I've already been a bought
another one and I even included it in my
"Top 6 Hair & Body Products of 2019"
To check out what other products made that list
Around R100 they're available exclusively from Dischem's countrywide
2.
BENEFIT
BOI-ING CAKELESS
CONCEALER
Whilst I loved this latest concealer from benefit, in fact I love all of their
concealers and have said many times that their offering literally covers anything and everything,
yet I was disappointed by how quick this product finished.
I only bought it at the end of September 2019 and despite rotating with other
concealing products, its already finished.
Another complaint is the amount of wastage there is on the sides of the see thru container
that you can't seem to get out.
Considering these two "let downs" and the steep price, I sadly won't be buying
this particular benefit concealer again.
CAUDALIE
MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
If you have followed my blog or followed me on Facebook or Instagram
for sometime now you will know that I'm a huge fan of the
French skincare brand CAUDALIE.
I don't think I've tried any products of theirs, and I must have reviewed 12 or more
 of their face and body products, that I haven't liked and even though I did like
 the Micellar Cleansing Water it didn't perform adequately enough on my
first cleanse on those full make-up days and primarily that's when I use a
micellar water, as a first cleanse.
 I have reviewed several others that perform this function way better.
If however you are looking for a Micellar Water to cleanse a light make-up
or just as a quick morning cleanse then this is perfect.
I did finish the product this way, but again sadly I won't be re-purchasing.
URBAN DECAY
ALL NIGHTER
MAKE-UP SETTING SPRAY
After being such a sceptic about this seemingly unnecessary, much hyped about
 pricey beauty product, I'm now a full on convert and living in a hot humid climate
I seriously can't live with out this product.
This product was deservingly included on my Top 10 Make-up Products 2019.
To find out what other Urban Decay products appeared on that list
I was surprised at how long the 118ml spray lasted me and I pretty much use it
most days. I have since purchased another and despite the R495 layout,
its a "Must Have" for me.
MARY COHR
IHC
INCREDIBLE HYDRATING CREAM
I have a couple more applications left in the jar of this Incredible Hydrating Cream
but the sad day is looming when my jar will be completely empty.
This cream made it onto my Top 10 Skincare Products of 2019
along with another MARY COHR product, so check out my absolute
fave skincare products of 2019
My Top 10 Skincare Products 2019
It was an absolute pleasure using this product and again like the
NATUR VITAL Shampoo above my skin just, like my hair, responded so well
to the formula.
MY TOP 10 SKINCARE PRODUCTS 2109
Normally I find My annual Top Skincare list the hardest to compile, as I have previously kept it to only 5 products, but this year I've had to increase it to 10, as in 2019 I tried
too many excellent skincare products to restrict this list to only 5.
This is also the last of my "Top" list for 2019 and if you would like to catch up on
the ones that I have already posted, then click on the Pink Links below
For me 2019 proved to be a great year for skincare, as I've tried some great
products and in my opinion all of these 10 skincare items are worthy of a place on
the list and equally as worthy of a purchase.
I do however highly recommend that you read my original reviews on each product
to find out all the product info and my thoughts.
~~~~~~

Cleansers seem like a good place to start and I have two on my Top 10 list.
I found that in 2019 I ventured out of my comfort zone of using milky/cream cleansers and tried several different cleansing product formats, two of which have
seriously converted me, so much so that I find myself reaching less and less for my once beloved cleansing milks.

EVE LOM
CREAM CLEANSER
Whilst I reviewed this product back in December 2018, I didn't include it in my
Top Skincare Products 2018, but rather opted to leave it for my 2019 list.
Having originally used a generous deluxe sample size, I then purchased the largest size
back in January 2019 whilst overseas and as I said earlier I'm a covert.

The texture of this cleanser is a heavy dense balm and a little is all
you need to perform a good cleanse.
My skin felt super clean, radiant, smooth and not stripped of natural oils,
 which so many cleansers can do.
I enjoyed using the textured muslin cloth, as it not only helps with the product removal process, but it also stimulates and exfoliates the skin.
In my opinion the cloth is what makes this combo combo so effective.

I would actually go as far to say that its the "Best" Cleanser I've ever used and after
being in this business for over 35 years that's a BIG claim.

CAUDALIE
MAKE-UP REMOVING OIL

The Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil works to dissolve all types of make-up, including waterproof, whilst removing impurities and cleansing the skin.
Initially the Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil wasn't a purchase, as it came as part of a free gift and I'm so glad it did, as I would never a opted to buy
a make-up removing oil.
This product is not only quick to use, but its super easy and the skin
is left feeling nourished and comforted and
  "It's an absolute pleasure to use".

~~~~~~
I have included a special toner in my list, as I have found this one to be the most refreshing and uplifting toner I've used in years and for that reason I have included it.
My original review below included both this Toner and its complimenting
 Elemis Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser, which I also enjoyed.
ELEMIS
REHYDRATING
GINZENG TONER
This nourishing toner effectively tones skin, re-balances its pH level and preserves the natural oils, without the use of alcohol or harsh detergents, add to that a wonderful
spritzing nozzle and ingredients that smell like a spa and I absolutely fell in love
with this refreshing toner.
~~~~~~

A Luxury French brand that has been in my sights for several years has been BYTERRY and during 2019 I was able to tick 2 of their iconic products off my Wish List.

Having purchased back in December 2018 a Christmas pack of 3 of the
 BYTERRY Brightening CC Serums it enabled me to decide which of the 4 shades suited
me the best and Sunny Flash came out as the winner.
I have since purchased a full size Sunny Flash and have also been kindly sent one from the PR of Metropolitain Cosmetics who are the exclusive retailers here in South Africa.

I couldn't write my top 10 list without including a Lip balm and this one from
BYTERRY stood out head and shoulders above any of the others that I
experienced in 2019.

N.B. I have also recently reviewed a make-up product from BYTERRY and I can already
 say that its 3 out 3 loves for this brand and one that I'm hoping to bring you more
reviews on in 2020.

BYTERRY
CELLULAROSE
BRIGHTENING CC SERUM

As you know skincare is my priority and this product
combines skincare benefits with luxury make-up, so for me its a win/win situation.
Infused with radiant rose stem cells, this advanced Brightening CC Serum is an
illuminating primer that creates a flawless base with NO coverage.
 Optical glow technology blurs imperfections, evens out skin tone, intensifies skin radiance and neutralise redness.
For me this product has been an absolute winner and I'm so glad I've
got back-up product.

BYTERRY
BAUME DE ROSE
Baume de Rose Lip Balm is without doubt the Rolls Royce of lip care and being a Lip Balm Junkie I feel I can say that, after having many years of experience in trying all types of lip products.
The balm has a velvety smooth texture and a non-sticky finish.
Formulated to soothe,repair, condition, protect, it even contains Hyaluronic Acid
to prevent dehydration.

I have no regrets about my purchase, however I do have one looming problem,
I'm starting to worry about the day my pot is empty...

~~~~~~
Obviously it wouldn't be a great Top 10 of Skincare Products if I didn't include core
treatment products like a day cream, night cream and a more specialised and targeted treatment.
For these I have chosen two French brands which have a long established and impeccable history where skincare is concerned and it just goes to show that they have moved with
the times in terms of products they offer.
MARY COHR
EXPERT FACE SCULPTOR
The Expert Face Sculptor serum intrigued me from the start as it makes some
hefty claims regarding re contouring and sculpting the face for anyone
over 40 years of age.
The texture of this AM/PM serum is lightweight and its a cross between a cream and a gel.
 They claim that your facial contours and features are reshaped, appear slimmer and visibly lifted, whilst ensuring that your skin feels comfortable and well-moisturised.
This is one review you have to read in order to find out why it made it onto this list.
MARY COHR
INCREDIBLE HYDRATING CREAM
I knew from the first application that this AM/PM cream and I were going to hit it off.
The clue to this product is in its name - Incredible Hydrating Cream.
The texture is one of a light creamy soufflé which absorbs perfectly and leaves
no trace of stickiness behind whatsoever, only a softness to the skin that's Incredible.
It's a product that just re-confirms again to me that the French
really do skincare the best
PAYOT
BLUE TECHNIC LISS
NIGHT CREAM
The Blue Techni Liss range (which consists of 5 products) has been specifically
formulated to fight the damaging effects and impact of blue light on the skin
and can be used on all skin types.
BLUE TECHNI LISS a new chrono-active smoothing range that restores balance to your skin.This deep blue gel texture miraculously melts into an oil on contact with the skin
 giving  a most ultra-comfortable smooth finish and one that I've never
experienced before.
I happily found it to be one of the most cost effective products that I have used in ages,
as a little goes such a long way and using in the evening only, you have an excellent
night treatment for many weeks, if not months to come.
~~~~~~

In case you were wondering I have included an Eye Treatment in the form
of Eye Patches.I have reviewed several good eye creams and eye masks in 2019, so this
was a difficult decision, but based on pure refreshment value and much needed depuffing, these from PIXI came out tops.

PIXI
DETOXIFEYE
DEPUFFING EYE PATCHES
Formulated to revive, refresh and rehydrate the delicate eye area for visibly smoother, soothed and fortified skin, these eye patches came to my rescue and have done on many occasions since writing my original review.
Bought, somewhat as a 2nd prize, due to the Peter Thomas Roth Eye Patches being out of stock, I'm now glad that they were unavailable.

~~~~~~
Finally my 10th highly recommended skincare product is not an essential
or is it?
Initially I believed the Caudalie Beauty Elixir was a "nice to have" kinda product
but I soon realised it was a "must have" in my skincare regime and even more so for travel.
I have used maybe 3 in the past year and thankfully I have a back-up stock.
CAUDALIE
BEAUTY ELIXIR
This is the second inclusion of a Caudalie product on the 2019 Top 10 Skincare Products List and its a brand that I have written 12 or 13 product reviews on.
The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is much loved by beauty editors and beauty bloggers
around the world  and I have to say that I join them wholeheartedly in
their praise for this product.
This multi-tasking mist sets make-up, tones and tightens pores, smooths fine lines
 and gives the skin an instant boost of radiance.
Can be used as a priming mist either under or over your completed make-up,
enhancing its longevity and reviving tired and dull-looking skin.
Please drop me a message in the comments below if you have tried any of my 2019
favourites and if you agree with me or not...
