STILA YOUR HEART!

Stila Cosmetics was founded in 1994 by celebrity makeup artist Jeanine Lobell. Stila was owned by the Estee Lauder Companies between 1999 to 2006. It was then sold to the Sun Capitol Partners Inc. in 2006.. and in 2009 it became a Lynn Tilton company where it has remained for the past three years.

Shew! Stila has been through many "hands"....in its short life!

The name Stila (pronounced STEE-la) was derived from the Italian word "stilare,"
which can mean "to pen".
Stila's official website is quoted as saying that they chose that name because they believe every woman’s makeup should be as individual as her own signature.

"Stila is known for its modern, sophisticated, non-intimidating approach to beauty. The brand's innovative, multi-tasking formula's, eco-friendly packaging, and fashion-forward colours have cemented its place on must-have lists of top beauty editors around the world. The prestige colour brand is a regular on the pages of magazines like Allure and InStyle, and frequents the runways of top designers during New York fashion week. Stila's goal is to help every woman celebrate her own unique beauty; to look and feel like the best version of herself; and to have fun doing it."

I have seen the Stila range in Sephora overseas, but again not really taken too much notice of their product offering. I do like the fact however that Stila are always looking for new ways to improve their production and reduce their carbon footprint.
Unfortunately I have not tried any of their reasonably priced products yet, but they are opening in selected Woolworths and Truworth stores around the country and their "roll out" started from last week...
perfect for us all to go, see and try!
