ORIGINS GINZING REFRESHING EYE CREAM TO BRIGHTEN AND DEPUFF #TBT REVIEW

Following its recent launch in South Africa I thought my original post on
this product, which dates back to November 2019,
 would be a good option for todays #TBT REVIEW.
*I do believe that this product has had a slight name change/reformulation
since I wrote my original review*

Enjoy!

~~~~~~
This product was rather a random purchase when I was overseas recently
and was not on my UK Beauty Shopping List.
Part of the vast Estée Lauder Companies stable, Origins was founded in 1990 by
Leonard Lauder, son of Estée Lauder.
Unfortunately Origins isn't available in South Africa, but I have heard that 2020 could see
its entry into SA, so lets wait and see.
* Possibly delayed due to COVID it finally launched in SA - MID YEAR 2022 *
ORIGINS
is a Clean brand and their mission is to create safe, high-performance products
that deliver visible results powered by nature and proven by science.
 Being a brand that I haven't tried before I was simply drawn to this product by its name
 plus I'm a sucker for eye products.
It told me exactly what the product would do and after a couple of long haul
 flights it spoke volumes to my tired eyes.
I've since found out this this product is one of ORIGINS Best Sellers.
GINZING
Refreshing Eye Cream
 to Brighten and Depuff
A refreshing eye cream that's formulated to brighten the eye area by diminishing the
appearance of dark circles and puffiness.
 This morning-after eye cream claims to help reduces dark circles, unsightly bags,
and puffiness.
It's formulated with coffee beans, panax ginseng, magnolia extract, and natural optic
 brighteners to rapidly wake up, refresh, and restore radiance to tired eyes.
After several weeks of using I do really enjoy this peachy tinged product, but I can't say
that it delivers on all of the claims above, not yet at least.
Whilst its lightweight creamy formula felt comfortable around my eye area, but I
wouldn't recommend it for very dry skin, as I didn't find it to be overly moisturising.
 I can't say that I've seen any noticeable improvement where reducing dark circles or
puffiness is concerned.
However it does feel refreshing when your eyes feel tired or after a late night
or a long haul flight and for that reason it's a keeper,
but I'm not sure I would re-purchase, maybe time will tell and this could be one for my
 Friday Follow-Up post in the future.
STRIVECTIN ANTI-WRINKLE INTENSIVE EYE CONCENTRATE PLUS {REVIEW}
I have a backstory to getting my hands on this
StriVectin
Anti-Wrinkle
Intensive Eye Concentrate Plus
It was one of the reasons I bought the Harpers Bazaar Beauty Edit Box
back in 2019, YES! the one that stayed with my London "Kiddiewink" and
cosmetic mule till December 2021...thanks COVID.
Still within its expiry I included this in my routine at the beginning of
December 2021.
I am a true believer in the use of eye products from your early 20's, as
that's what I have practised and I wouldn't have done it any other way.
What began with a morning application of the Clarins Eye Gel,
way back in the early 80's then I progressed to using an eye treatment
both AM & PM and with age the products became more active, yet one
thing has remained constant and that's the daily application and in
that regard  I have never faltered and today the skin around my eye,
 I think, is in a good condition for my age.
Yes I have lines and wrinkles, but thankfully they're fairly fine and no
deep wrinkles to speak of, so for me, eye treatment products are a
necessity and are a "non negotiable" step in my skincare regime.
I have included the StriVectin intro video that explains perfectly the ethos
of this US brand.
I've also reviewed several StriVectin products, so if you would like to read
those reviews, I have included the Pink Link at the bottom of this page.
Back to the eye cream review
StriVectin claim:
Results Without the Wait Intensively reduces the appearance of crow's feet,
under-eye lines, and "eleven" frown lines between the brows
Diminishes the appearance of dark circles
Helps alleviate puffiness
Neutralises the visible effects of blue light.
Strivectin's Cult Favourite #1 wrinkle-smoothing eye cream, has been
clinically proven to reduce the look of all types of lines around the eyes,
 starting in just five days*.
Expertly formulated to deliver results all around the eyes, even on those
 stubborn eleven lines between brows, reducing the look of crow’s feet,
under-eye lines, puffiness and dark circles.
Ingredients include:
Horse Chestnut Flower Extract
Helps target collagen to reduce the appearance of all types of wrinkles in
the eye area.
Arctic Marine Ferment
Sourced from deep in the Arctic Ocean to help restore hydration,
smooth the appearace of wrinkles, and protect skin from the visible
effects of blue light.
Micro-Algae Extract
Antioxidant-rich micro-algae that thrives in harsh environmental conditions
 helps reduce the appearance of puffiness
Did this Eye Cream work?
My answer is a simple word and it's a YES
I've loved using this eye cream
It's fast-absorbing, lightweight, and layerable plus fragrance-free.
It's been a perfect twice daily eye cream and whilst results from
eye creams can take some time to be noticeable, if at all, I personally
experienced an improvement over the last seven and half months of use,
especially in the smoothness and firmness of the skin under the eye
 and an improvement in the depth of the 2 lines between my brows.
Now it didn't happen within 5 Days as they claim, but perhaps if
the eye area had been very neglected, I can only imagine how quick
you could see an improvement.
It provided me with enough moisturisation and hydration and I loved
 the needle point nozzle that really allows for complete control
 of the amount you dispense, making this eye cream very cost effective,
I haven't even finished my
30ml tube yet.
What more can I say...
StriVectin have delivered again.
CLARINS TOTAL EYE LIFT {REVIEW}
 I've always been an advocate for the use of Eye Creams, having used myself
since my very early 20's and my eye area is in pretty good condition
considering my age.
Some months back, in a Modern Beauty Box, I received a full size of the
Clarins Total Eye Lift
This award winning product was specifically created to enhance the entire
eye area from temple to temple.
I personally have been using my eye creams from temple to temple for
many, many years, so for me this is nothing new, but if you have been
only using under the eye area, then I highly recommend that you apply
your eye creams up the sides of the eye area to the temples and across
the bridge of your and the area between your eyebrows.
CLARINS claim that this award-winning, naturally powerful, all-in-one,
anti-aging eye cream targets wrinkles, crow's feet, dark circles,
and puffiness for a visible eye lift in 60 seconds flat!
Total Eye Lift is infused with four potent plant extracts
 two of which help to promote this instant “lift” effect.
Horse Chestnut
Its aescin helps to brighten shadowy areas.
Albizia
This extract promotes skin firmness and radiance.
Harungana
This organic extract helps to tighten skin
Guarana
This organic extract helps to reduce the appearance of bags
Suitable for all ages, sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
To apply,
 dab gently onto the eye contour and eyelids, and smooth gently between
 the eyebrows and on the temples.
AM & PM.
Having heard some wonderful reviews about this "all in one" & "do it all"
eye cream I was expecting great results, but sadly I can't say I
experienced any "greatness", my findings were simply
 "its a good all round eye cream" albeit a rather pricey one
and I have reviewed so many better eye creams at lower price points.
I found this eye cream, due to it being a fine emulsion, smoothing and
easy to apply. It offered enough moisture and comfort to the skin,
that was once I managed to dispense the cream onto my finger.
Total Eye Life is packaged in recyclable, airless glass container and
some days it worked and other days it would only work after much pumping
and to be honest I found it quite irritating for a R1000+ eye cream and
for this irritating issue alone, I doubt I would re-purchase.
For all Clarins lovers their SA website will be having a
Black Friday Less 35%.
ESTĒE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR EYE CONCENTRATE MATRIX {#TBT REVIEW}
Todays #TBT post dates back to February 2018 and gives you all the
info on the
 Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix
and it's still a product I highly recommend.
Many believe that an eye cream isn't so important and I beg to differ, as its
one of my most longest used products and I personally would never
advise the exclusion of an eye treatment in your daily beauty routine.
~~~~~~

 I generally only post a review once I've finished a product,
but I'm breaking my own rule on this one and posting
this review after four and half months of twice daily use.

I seem to have been using the
Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix
 for what seems like an eternity and it's still going strong.

Having recommended previously that you buy skincare according to your budget,
there is one product that I advise stretching the budget for
and that's this anti-ageing eye treatment.
I personally have always focused on the maintenance of my eye area,
as it really does give away your age and I just want to keep those
signs of ageing at bay or minimised for as long as possible.

It's a "maze" out there, when it comes to Anti-Ageing
eye products, as we are spoilt for choice.
 For as long as I can remember though I've always used products for
my eye area twice a day
  and that's pretty much how I have been able to keep any deep lines
and wrinkles to a minimum and these are not to be confused with your
natural expression lines around the hard working eye area.

The use of eye creams are on going, so get rid of the notion that a product
will "fix it all" in one jar, as that just doesn't happen.
The sooner you start to incorporate an eye treatment into your daily regime
the better, but if you fall into that category of not having used,
then don't despair.

If you're a mature woman or man (yes, men need to use eye products also
and they don't have to be male specific)
it's not too late, however understand that damage has been done,
but in order to slow down the further appearance and soften those
existing lines and wrinkles I recommend that you initially splurge and bring
in the "Big Guns" of the eye treatment world.

The hugely popular and iconic
 Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Collection
of products target and reduce the look of all the signs of ageing
for the face and eyes.
They have several targeted eye products in their
arsenal and their Eye Concentrate Matrix is one that I can highly
recommend if you are wanting to seriously inject some "oomph"
into your eye care routine.

The Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix
is one of those "Big Guns" to be used both night and day.
This serum will repair, fortify and hydrate the skin around the
delicate eye area, so it pretty much deals with the main areas
of concern for most of us.

Their ultra-nourishing, skin strengthening formula has an innovative 360°
Matrix Technology that provides a cushion of plumping support
to give eyes a fresh, “wide-open” look and I won't object to
that, as with age sadly our eye area, especially the eyelids become
 more droopy and gives the eye a more closed, tired appearance.
The addition of every skins friend - Hyaluronic Acid 2x Concentrated
Infusion ensures that the skin remains hydrated for a full 24 hrs.

From the picture above you will see that this product comes with a
massaging applicator, but do yourself a favour and forget even trying to
attempt to massage the skin as EL suggest and just go straight to the
patting with the ring finger...

Using the massaging applicator, gently roll under each eye three times.
Then massage in a 360° circle under the eye area and above the lid.
Finish by patting with ring finger until absorbed.

The slightly opaque, cooling gel is easy to blend around the eye around and
feels comfortable and moisturising on the skin, without feeling heavy or
creating any puffiness, which some eye products can do.
It was a pleasure to use and offered a plumpness to the skin,
which in turn softens those lines, especially the deeper ones and gave
a more rested eye area.

GLAMGLOW BRIGHTEYES {REVIEW}

GLAMGLOW burst onto the South African beauty scene in mid 2017 with an
array of their now iconic MUD face masks.Born and bred in sunny California
GLAMGLOW is a skincare range that offers more than just face masks.

Having never tried any of their masks, I couldn't comment as
to whether the Gravity Mud defies gravity or even if the Thirsty Mud quenches a
dehydrated skin and I doubt that I will ever find out, as I must confess
 their collection of face masks just doesn't appeal to me and quite honestly
 seem a little gimmicky.

However it's a different story for their GLAMGLOW BRIGHTEYES as my interest was
piqued from their overseas September 2019 launch, so much so,
it was added to my overseas shopping list for my trip to the UK/Dubai in September.
Unfortunately little did I know that this product would be so difficult to get my little
grubby (not really) beauty hands on.
Beauty Editors, Celebrities and Beauty Bloggers around the world had given
"Glowing" reviews (excuse the pun) on this rose gold pot of eye goodness.

Everywhere I went in the UK was "Sold Out" and apparently 700 units sold on the
 first day of launch and 600 units on the second day in SEPHORA.
Alas I came back empty handed and my plan B was soon put into action as my
"London Kiddiewink" was due over in December and I managed to have one
delivered to him once they came back into stock.

Despite many beauty boffs now claiming that an eye cream is not necessary,
 I have always used a separate product for around the eye area since
 I was around 20 and I have absolutely
no regrets and to this day I still recommend that you use a specialised eye cream
 rather than be tempted to you use your face creams over the eye area.

I do however understand that face cream formulas have changed over the years
and now some can be used safely around the eye, but for treating the delicate eye area,
 eye creams/gels/serums are still a twice daily must for me.

BRIGHTEYES is an illuminating eye cream formulated with a wonderful cocktail of
effective peptides, caffeine and an intense infusion of hyaluronic acid
to instantly brighten dark circles and reduce visible signs of fatigue around the eyes
for a super well-rested, glowing look.

ILLUMINATING SPHERES : Instantly brighten dark circles around eyes.
CAFFEINE : Energizes and revitalizes dull, tired-looking eyes.
HYALURONIC ACID : Plumps and hydrates all day.
PEPTIDES :Help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the
entire eye area.

GLAMGLOW BRIGHTEYES
can be used daily and not only around the eye area but over the eyelids also.

Besides liking the pretty rose gold pot I also enjoyed the eye cream thanks to its creamy
nourishing, yet lightweight formula. I found it quickly absorbed and was an absolute pleasure to apply.

The brightening aspect of this product thanks to the Illuminating Spheres was,
for me, noticeable and I do love any light reflecting or illuminating ingredients in my
face and eye products.
I happily experienced my overall eye area to have a more relaxed,rested and
 dare I say it, more youthful in appearance, so if you feel that you
 always look fatigued around the eye area, then this is an eye cream to consider,
as it targets that issue along with all the usual anti-ageing benefits required
from a good eye cream.

After using the eye cream for over 10 weeks, I'm hesitant to make a claim that my
dark circles have improved, but that's always a difficult ask of any eye product.
What I will claim is that this eye cream works out to be very cost effective, as I still have
3/4 of the pot left after 2 applications per day, which I would say is pretty good going
for an eye cream.

After only a couple of applications I soon realised what all the frenzy over this
 eye cream was about.
Sadly though GLAMGLOW South Africa are not launching this product, so a
trusted "Cosmetic Mule" will be needed if you want this product.
