STILA - MILE HIGH LASHES MASCARA

Stila cosmetics have made their presence felt on the South African cosmetic scene since their SA launch nearly two years ago and I for one have blogged about several of their products and been very happy with my choices.
I am always on the look out for new and different mascara's, whether it's a new formula, brush or just the promise of longer looking lashes and I'm interested....
This soon to be launched mascara came to my attention recently and guess what,
 I'm very interested!

RSP R250

This mascara forms part of a collection of products that have been launched to mark  the 20 year celebration of Stila's artistic elegance.

The attention grabber for me, with this product, was the name...
Mile High LashesTM Mascara
 Now..you tell me any female or male for that matter that wouldn't be curious about this mascara!!

Stila's press release states;

"The sky is the limit for length, lift and volume. Transform lashes with an instant upgrade and the new Mile High Lashes Mascara."
Obviously playing on the aviation connection it also states;
"Our jet-black formula glides on seamlessly, transporting lashes with length and volume that will not smudge, budge, clump or flake."
Unfortunately here in South Africa we will have to wait until October to try this little "rocket of promise",
but I for one will be hopefully adding some "flutter" to my sparse lashes and putting this mascara to the test.

Available from Selected Stuttafords & Truworths nationwide

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {APRIL}

April has been a busy and exciting month,
which began with the DurbanBloggersMeet on the first Saturday and as
I am sure you are aware by now, we received the biggest "goodie" bag ever.
I can truly say that it has provided me with enough Blog fodder for months.
I also put out there my first Video Blog, which was to say the least a little daunting.
April has also been a month filled with many 4 day weeks and I for one ain't complaining.
It was difficult though for me to decide which were my "faves" for April,
but here they are...
Enjoy!

1.

I received my first ever Stila product in the DBNBloggerMeet goodie bag and have since been to purchase another shade of this Stila Smudge Stick and love them both.

2.

This heat protecting product from Kerastase was a hit in the hair stakes.

3.

Woolworths launched the Australian accessory brand MIMCO and restraint was needed but these all made it onto my Mothers Day list..fingers crossed!

STILA SMUDGE STICK WATERPROOF EYE LINER {REVIEW}

As a more mature Blogger I have been contemplating for some time now about changing from a black eye pencil to a softer and more flattering brown one. The reason I had not made this leap was pure and utter laziness, as I couldn't be bother to troll the cosmetic counters looking for a suitable shade and one that has the correct softness and feel, which to me is important as excessive dragging around this delicate area at my age is not advisable....At the recent Durban Bloggers meet I must have had a "Make-up Fairy" watching over me, as in the depths of my humongous goodie bag I found a Stila Smudge Stick and yes you've guessed it...in lionfish, a deep bronze sheen colour.

Lionfish

After more years than I care to remember of using various shades of black, this move to brown really was a landmark moment. Thankfully Stila made this transition for me very easy, as the shade is perfect and the fact it's a Smudge stick gives me the options of using as a eye liner or smudging with my finger to create a smudged eyeshadow effect.
The eye liner glides on smoothly {thanks to the moisturizing ingredients including Vitamin E} and doesn't drag the skin. Despite this eye liner being waterproof it does stay put, yet I found it relatively easy to remove with my regular eye make-up remover. Within the Stila range there are over 30 colour shades available,but there are only 11 shades available to us here in South Africa...
I may just pop along to take a look at what is available, as I feel a purchase of a black may also be on the cards...
what do they say about "old habits" etc?
