MONTHLY FAVOURITES {JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2022}

 It's the beginning of March, which means it's time for my round up of
Monthly Favourites for January & February.
These are my personal "faves" of all the products that I have reviewed
over the past two months and would recommend them all without
any hesitation.

1.

INOAR
 +AMOR -SODIO
 MASK

Towards the end of 2021 I was very kindly gifted 2 products from
INOARS's newly launched range +Amor -Sodio, which translated means
More Love Less Salt
+Amor -Sodio is a revolutionary range of sulphate free products.

After my first application I wasn't overly impressed, so on the 2nd
use I increased the amount I applied and left it on longer than the
recommended 3 minutes and WOW what it difference that change made.
My hair feels incredibly soft, shiny and fuller.
It leaves no oily coating on the hair shaft, so the hair doesn't
feel weighed down with product and now that I have my
 correct dosage and timings worked out, my hair smells & feels great
 every time and my hair appears to be truly loving this mask.
This is a "Highly Recommend" product.

2.

ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
RENEWAL SERUM

In my eyes ELEMIS can do no wrong, as I have yet to use one of their
products that I didn't like or enjoy.
The Pro-Collagen Renewal Serum is a rejuvenating and firming serum that
 encourages renewal without any retinol.
It could not have been any easier to incorporate into my existing
daily skincare regime.
In a "Beauty Nutshell" it's an effective, easy to use, lightweight
 Retinol Alternative Facial Concentrate
that can be used by all skin types.
If you’re after youthful and plump skin without any of the side effects
from Retinol products like dryness, redness or irritation,
look no further, you’ve found the one.

3.

BY TERRY
BAUME DE ROSE
HAND

This pink lightweight, yet velvety-rich formula glides on effortlessly, is quick
absorbing and leaves that all important, non-greasy finish.
 Your hands are left feeling beautifully silky soft, smooth, moisturised
 and smelling of beautiful roses...
Simply the Baume de Rose Hand Cream is pure luxury for the hands.

4.

SKIN PROUD
COOLING EYE SERUM STICK

The name of this product just spoke to me...
 Icicle Cooling Eye Serum Stick By Skin Proud
It's aimed at a younger demographic and Skin Proud believes in being
 transparent, cutting out the confusion, whilst being easy to use,
 100% vegan and clean products, with straight to the point ingredients.
Featuring a five-part hyaluronic acid complex, this instantly cooling balm
 freshens and tightens, whilst helping to lock in hydration for healthy
 under eyes.
Now this product hasn't replaced any of my current eye treatments,
 but it's rather a welcome extra addition.
If you are a "first timer" with an eye product, then this is a great one.
I personally find it so easy to just pick up and apply
several times a day, as I adore the packaging, the swipe around the
eye application and its instantly cooling effect.

7 January 2021

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2020}

Todays Monthly Favourites post could be viewed as either my
first of 2021 or my last of 2020, as I'm giving you the run down of the beauty
products I liked and highly rated during November & December.

I would estimate that 90% of the products I try out have been
purchased be me and even if a product was a PR Gift you can be assured
that my opinions and views on a product will always be
honest and truthful and nothing will change going forward.

I have a good assortment of products that I thoroughly enjoyed
over the past two months ranging from skincare, fragrance, haircare
and even a product for the nails and needless to say that if they have made
it onto my monthly favourites list then they're all worthy of a re-purchase.

Don't forget that I have my annual "Top" series of posts coming out later this
month and those lists are not to be missed, especially if you are looking
for tried, tested and highly recommended beauty products.

1.
JO MALONE
LONDON
WOOD SAGE AND SEA SALT
COLOGNE

I was very slow to the party with this JO MALONE offering, as its been around
since 2014, HELLO and I only discovered my love for it at the end of 2020 and
 sadly that has been my loss.
I just adore the complex ingredients, which
 include ambrette seed, sea salt and sage, along with red algae and grapefruit.
Wood Sage & Sea Salt is a lighterCitrus/Woody/Aromatic fragrance
and is a perfect, easy wearing daily summer fragrance.

2.
ZELENS
TRANSFORMER
INSTANT RENEWAL MASK

This was a great skincare find (albeit an expensive one) and it came about
from me first trying a sample of this anti-aging mask that was developed
by Dr. Marko Lens for his tailor-made "Red Carpet" facials,
 so I was expecting something special from this mask and it certainly
didn't disappoint, far from it, as it exceeded
all my expectations and coming from me that's quite some praise...

3.
HUXLEY
SECRET OF SAHARA
GLOW AWAKENING CREAM

Huxley is the first Korean skincare brand that I have ever tried any product from
and by my own admission I have and always will be a lover of European skincare, especially the French brands.
That being said I'm open to sailing into new skin care waters and Korean
Beauty has lots to offer, so this is me dipping my toe in...
And again I wan't disappointed and it became my go to, easy daily
moisturiser for several months and a re-purchase is on the cards.

4.
MAVALA
MAVADRY
SPRAY

Again I was very slow to discover this and dare I say it again...
 it was my loss. This Quick Dry nail spray has been an absolute winner
for me, as I no longer have smudged nails.
For me this product is now a "Must Have" and I don't know how I
have persevered for so long without it.

5.
INOAR
LOTUS FLOWER OIL

It may seem like a small bottle, but don't be fooled, as this tiny
divine smelling package
packs a powerful punch of all round hair goodness.
The Lotus Flower is composed of plant ingredients that penetrate deep
into the hair fibre and gives back its natural moisture.
It strengthens, repairs, realigns, reduces frizz, and restores hair health & shine.
I've also come to realise that a little of this product really does go a long way
and offers great value for money and cannot recommend highly enough.

Please do let me know in the comments below if any of the above products
 are your favourites also...

1 November 2020

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {SEPTEMBER OCTOBER 2020}

 I have rather a busy monthly favourites post today consisting of
7 favourites from the past two months and I really
couldn't reduce this list, as all of these products are worthy
of an inclusion in this post.
I have found myself reaching for them regularly and in some cases daily
 and I have been loving them all.

As always Pink Links will be included, so you can go back and
read my full reviews for all the product info and of course
my thoughts and opinions, before you possibly buy.
Enjoy!

1.
BYTERRY
HYALURONIC HYDRA-FOUNDATION

I have been soo... loving this foundation from BYTERRY
It was one of the products on my wish list and I have no regrets
purchasing this rather pricey foundation, as it's been worth every cent.
As I said in my full review, as we age the serum/treatment focused
foundations are fast becoming my favourites, as I need that extra boost.

2.
SVR
VITAMIN C
MASQUE ANTI-OX

This has been another product that I have been reaching for, as I am so
enjoying the foam format.
 Not a skincare brand that immediately springs to mind, but if this
micro-peel is anything to go by, then it's a brand that I'm hopefully going to
look into more in the future.

3.
AVÈNE
CICALFATE+
RESTORATIVE PROTECTIVE CREAM

As I soon discovered, after burning my hand on the steam from
boiled potatoes I learned that this product is one of those
"must haves" in the house, its a repairing and protecting "do it all"
cream for the whole family.
Despite having great results, when suffering from "Mask Acne" I
have been reaching for this cream to soothe any irritated rashes and of
course my steam burn, but the person who has fallen in love with this
product has been my hubby, who has been applying daily to
dry, red patches of skin on his face and forehead, so I think I've
now lost the product to him.
If you would like to find out all of the uses of this protective cream

4.
L'OCCITANE
INVIGORATING FACE & EYE MASK

I initially purchased the mono dose pod of this product
that lasted me around
 2-3 applications and I soon realised that this
multi tasking face and eye mask had to be a part of my face mask wardrobe.
I found it refreshing and cooling on the skin, perfect for summer and was unlike
 any other face mask that I had and this led to me to buy the full size
a couple of weeks later.

5.
BIODERMA
SENSIBIO H20
MAKE-UP REMOVING MICELLE WATER

I am still cross with myself that this Iconic Micellar Water, that's
celebrating its 25th Birthday this year, escaped me for so long and I
have no explanation!
It's fair to say this this is the BEST micellar water I have tried to date
and is deserving of the awards and its cult beauty following.

6.
URBAN DECAY
PERVERSION MASCARA

It's fair to say that I'm a mascara addict and this mascara from
URBAN DECAY has been a pleasure to use and one that I highly recommend.
It's an intense black, ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara
that glides on beautifully and is buildable stroke after stroke.
To find out why I highly recommend click here

7.
INOAR
HYDRATING
SANITIZER GEL

Who would have ever thought that Hand Sanitisers and Hand Creams would
become such a daily part of our lives, but they have.
This one has pride of place on entering the house and is the only Hand Sanitizer
that has been a success with the whole family.
It contains 70% alcohol ensuring that 99,9% of bacteria, viruses and germs
are immediately eliminated, BUT, leaves your skin feeling nourished,
moisturized and soft, due to the inclusion of Argan Oil.

28 June 2020

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {MAY & JUNE 2020}

Yikes another two months have passed and it's time for yet another of my
 Monthly Favourites post.
Again I have a mixed bag of "faves" that include a candle, bath, lip, eye products
and a facial roller and don't forget to click on the Pink Links below to
read my full reviews on all of this months favourite products.

1.& 2.

RITUALS
RITUALS OF AYURVEDA
FOAM BATH & SCENTED CANDLE

I have fallen head over heels in love with the Dutch health and wellbeing brand
 RITUALS and especially
with the RITUAL OF AYURVEDA collection of products.
Inspired by the ancient Indian wisdom of Ayurveda or “science of life,” the collection is characterised by a delicate fragrance of Indian rose with Himalaya honey
and sweet almond oil.
I'm already fearing the day when both of these products are finished, as I know they
 won't be easy to get hold of anymore, but they literally make me happy when I use.

~~~~~~
3.
RODIAL
DRAGON'S BLOOD
EYE MASK
I have a slight fascination with RODIAL as a brand, as they have some wonderful
 products that I want to investigate further.
Having tried a mascara of theirs, that I wasn't too impressed with, their skincare
on the other hand has impressed me and none more so than this eye mask.
I've had this in my mask collection for such a long time and I'm now cross with
myself that I didn't try it sooner than I did.
For me it did everything it claimed it would do and more and it's already on my
re-purchase list.
~~~~~~

4.

SEPHORA
ROSE QUARTZ
FACIAL MASSAGER/ROLLER

After being slightly sceptical, as I often am about beauty gadgets, this proved
me wrong and I cannot believe how much I adore my cooling Rose Quartz roller.
I am still using daily and it's incorporated into my beauty regime, so easily
and nicely. I highly recommend, but as always gadgets only work with continued
use and for me that doesn't seem to be a problem yet...

4.

LABELLO
CRAYON

LABELLO Crayons
are newly launched and instantly provide your lips with high colour coverage, yet its
unique moisturizing formula instantly melts into your lips and keeps
 them moisturized, with a long-lasting effect.
I have since purchased another shade and despite reviewing a couple of
high end Lip Balms over the past two months, they haven't made it onto this list whilst
the more affordable Labello has.

2 July 2017

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {MAY/JUNE 2017}

For the past 2 months I have discovered and tried some really great products and a couple of these items featured below may well make it onto my
Top 5 Skincare Products of 2017 list that I compile every year.
(Unfortunately though two of the below are not currently available in South Africa)

1.

This product was not on my beauty radar even though I love the French brand NUXE.
I was given a sample of their rêve de miel Face & Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel and I was so glad that I tried this amber coloured, honey fragranced gel, as it gets a huge thumbs up from Moi...

NUXE ve de miel Face & Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel

2.

I'm now onto my 2nd box of these Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Masks and I adore them.
Unfortunately they will not be available in South Africa and that's a pity, as my future supplies will have to be via my UK based "Kiddiewink".
If you can get your hands on a box, even though they're pricey, they are well worth it for the instant "pick me up" radiant effect for eyes.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask

3.

Another skincare favourite from the past 2 months has been the PIXI Glow Tonic Exfoliating Tonic that contains 5% Glycolic Acid.
Again this is a product that isn't available for sale in South Africa, but again well worth the effort if you can get you hands on one.

PIXI Glow Tonic

4.

I didn't mention this next product in my March/April favourites,but I think it needs to be added to this favourites list for May/June.
I don't often dedicate a full blog post to a nail polish, but this one from the recently launched (in South Africa) LOV brand got just that, a blog post.
I have since bought another shade and my collection is growing, but read my review to find out why I loved this polish so much...

LOVinity Long Lasting Nail Lacquer

2 September 2016

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {JULY/AUGUST 2016}

These months are just flying by and its already time for me to post
my 'faves" for July and August.
Let me know if some of your favourites are here.

1.

This Lip Balm for the French brand Nuxe could possibly be one of my all time faves and my pot is still far from finished.
Here is the pink link to my review in case you missed this one.

2.

My eyes have literally been opened recently, opened up that is, as benefit have nailed it when it comes to the eyebrows.
Never having been too concerned about my brows benefit have completely changed that, so read my post to find out how this "50" something year old has changed her opinion.

3.

My first visit to this market was only last weekend and I can't wait to go back, as it really is worth many more visits and I'm especially looking forward to their Christmas markets.
I will leave the photos to tell the story of my visit and what you can expect to see.
