MAKE-UP REMOVING CLEANSING OIL CAUDALIE {REVIEW}

I declared at the beginning of the month that March would be
dedicated to all things
 Caudalie
I am slowly working my way through, trying and reviewing the rather large stash of
Caudalie face and body care products that I recently bought.
The Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil wasn't a purchase, as it came as part of a free gift
with my other purchases and who doesn't love a freebie.
The Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil would not have been a product that I would have purchased simply because I'm not a huge fan of cleansing oils, or should I say I haven't been in the past.

Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil works to dissolve all types of make-up, including waterproof, whilst removing impurities and cleansing the skin, which is pretty standard with most cleansing oils nowadays
so what makes this particular cleansing oil any different.

Straight off the bat...
I adore the smell of the natural Sweet Almond Oil, which immediately
makes you like this product and its inclusion isn't just to make the
product smell good Sweet Almond Oil is known to boost the radiance of the skin, especially tired and stressed skins.

A cocktail of 100% naturally derived plant oils nourish and soften the skin whilst quickly dissolving make up and I was impressed by how quickly and very efficiently this melting process happened.

This product is not only quick to use, but its super easy, as a couple of pumps
into the palms of your hands, massage onto a dry skin and emulsify with a small amount of water and rinse is all you need to do.
Upon contact with water the clear oil turns milky leaving no oily residue behind on the face whatsoever.
The skin is left feeling nourished and comforted
and there's nothing more I can say other than
"It's an absolute pleasure to use".

The cleansing oil can be used over the face, eye lids and lips, as with all Caudalie products they contain non of those "nasties" like Parabens,Phenoxyethanols,Phthalates,Mineral Oils or animal derived ingredients.

They're also Preservative Free,Non Comodegenic, Dermatologically
and Opthalmology tested.

Caudalie have an extensive range of products and many can be combined and Caudalie recommend you try some
Mixology
I have the Foam Cleanser and I will give you feedback in an upcoming post
as to how this combo works.

As you can tell this rather unassuming product has won me over and even though this cleansing oil may look like any other, I can assure you that
it has so much more to offer than the majority of cleansing products on the market...

FRIDAY FOLLOW-UP {MARCH 2019}

I thought it was time for another Friday Follow-up post as my last one was way
back in July 2018.
This is a post that allows me to give you extra feedback long after I originally reviewed
the product.
(You can read the original reviews by clicking on the Pink Links)

Today's feedback is about 4 products:
 2 were re-purchases and a re-purchase by "moi"
is always a good sign and
2 were purchases made due to experiencing the wonders of a product
from a sample size.

1.

Urban Decay was my favourite "Make-up" find of 2018
as I discovered my perfect eyeshadow/blusher palette EVER in the form of the
Limited Edition BackTalk palette,
YES sadly it was a Limited release and it's no longer available in South Africa
(However there maybe stocks in other markets around the world)

Its been in daily use for many months and has been a perfect travel companion,
so much so, I've purchased a backup and its sitting quietly in the background
waiting to be brought into action, as that's how much I love this pink beauty.

To read my full review

2.

This next purchase was the result of trying a sample in my popular series of
Sunday Sample  posts, where I try out a sample for the week and then
give you my feedback on the following Sunday.

The EVE LOM Cleanser sample was given to me following a purchase in SpaceNK
and not being a huge fan of cleansing balms, even I was shocked as to how this sample converted and convinced me buy the full size product and I still stand by my original
claim in that review...

I would actually go as far to say that its the "Best" Cleanser I've ever used and after
being in this business for over 35 years that's a BIG claim.

3.

There is no doubt in my mind that L'Oréal make some great mascaras and their Unlimited Mascara is one of them.
I reviewed it back in December 2018 and have since re-purchased on a trip overseas in January,
so I have a back up as its not yet been released in South Africa.

4.

Yet another full size purchase that materialised from a Sunday Sample post.
The Christophe Robin Volumising Paste is like no other hair product that I have
ever tried and after managing to squeeze several applications from a generous
deluxe sized pot, I was well and truly hooked...

Let me know in the comments below if any of these products are also your "Faves"
as I would love to know...

CAUDALIE CRUSHED CABERNET SCRUB {REVIEW}

It's true to say that I'm currently a little obsessed with all things
Caudalie
This French Skincare brand has been on my beauty  "Wish List" for several years
now and finally after my last two overseas trips I am now the proud owner of not
one or two products, but literally around 12 Caudalie products.
I've even declared March Caudalie Month on my blog, so expect a glut of reviews.

Sadly we only have one Official retailer here in South Africa Skins Cosmetics and having bought a couple
of products there, it is obviously cheaper to purchase overseas,
but I didn't find the prices at Skins Cosmetics to be too exorbitant unlike
the 3rd retailer websites we have here in SA.

Here is some background to the brand...

The skin care brand Caudalie was founded by Mathilde Thomas and her husband Bertrand. The story starts in Bordeaux (France), at the heart of the vineyards on the family estate. The vine and grapes possess exeptional powers for the skin - powers which were simply waiting to be developed. 'Do you know that you are throwing away treasures?" This sentence changed Mathilde's life. It marks the meeting with Professor Vercauteren. He is one of the world's specialists in Polyphenols and has been the scientific advisor of the research centre since the creation of Caudalie. Ever since the brand was created, products were created with the maximum amount of natural ingredients that respect the environment. In 2006, Mathilde took the decision to remove parabens from all their products.
Armed with my Caudalie shopping list the
Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub
was on the very top.
As with the face, a weekly or twice weekly body exfoliation is the key to
anti-ageing and it's a practise that I've performed for literally "10's" of years
and I never find it a chore, as I just adore the way your skin feels afterwards.

Crushed Cabernet Scrub
is Caudalie's signature Vinothérapie Spa scrub
and a day visit to their Spa in Bordeaux is on my bucket list and has been for
several years.
(it does help that my sister lives a 2 hour drive away making it more of a possibility)

Enriched with crushed grape-seeds and 6 essential oils, this natural body exfoliator
leaves the skin smooth, soft and nourished.
I want my body scrubs to give a good invigorating exfoliation and the brown sugar and crushed grapes seeds do just that, however if you prefer the more gentle approach
then just mix with more water to soften the exfoliation effect.

This scrub does have that typical divine spa fragrance and these energizing and invigorating notes are naturally derived from lemon, lemongrass, rosemary and juniper berries.
The final inclusion of a good dollop of Honey helps this scrub to soften the skin
and replenish that all important Hydro Lipidic layer.

Apply twice a week to wet skin.
Warm the scrub in your hands and massage the whole body in circular motions from bottom to top until
the sugar has completely melted, then rinse.
As with all exfoliation products follow with a moisturising product.
This product contains 99% ingredients of natural origin.
And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates,
mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used.

Thankfully I wasn't disappointed with this body scrub at all and it lived up to all of my expectations.
I adore the packaging, the aesthetics of the product, the beautiful aroma and more importantly the polishing effects.

It reminded me very much of the Clarins Tonic Body Polisher, but even better.
I did review the Clarins Tonic Body Polisher back in 2017and it made it onto my
Top 3 Body Products of that year, so if you love that polisher then I'm sure you
will love this one from Caudalie just as much as I do...
