MAVALA MAVADRY SPRAY {REVIEW}

 I'm not generally known for my short product reviews, but I do
think this is my shortest review to date, as the bottom line with a review
on a nail "Quick Dry" spray,
IS
"does it dry the nails quickly"?

Believe it or not we don't seem to have much choice, here in South Africa,
 when it comes to nail quick dry products, especially in a spray format.

After much searching I discovered that MAVALA the Swiss nail experts
had exactly what I was looking for in the form of the
 MAVALA
MAVADRY SPRAY

I managed to find this product at my local Dischem and couldn't
wait to put it to the test.
You very rarely see my finger nails naked and I've used nail polish
for way longer than I truly care to remember.
Over that time I have lost count of how many times I have smudged
my freshly painted nails either on the bedlinen or on my bedside lamp
as I go to turn it off at night.( I have always painted my nails in bed at night)
I was in desperate need of a quick dry type product in a spray form as
opposed to a paint on application and the MAVALA offering seemed to be
my only option.
(If you have any other recommendations in SA then please leave me
a comment below, so I can review)

MAVADRY SPRAY claims to dry nail polish in seconds (touch-dry),
prevent chipping and make your manicure more brilliant.

Bottom Line, it works, my nails were touch dry after a couple of sprays
I can't say it prevented chipping, but it did give my home paint job a
more professional looking, lustrous finish.
Note: Does not contain any gas that depletes the ozone layer.

For me this product is now a "Must Have" and I don't know how I
have persevered for so long without it.
Sadly it doesn't come cheap, I suppose I can only give you feedback
on cost per use, once the can is finished and that will determine wether its
brought out for emergency quick dry's of not, but for now I can highly
recommend especially if you don't have the time or the patience to literally
hang around waiting for paint to dry...

SUNDAY SAVINGS - MAVALA

Woolworths at the moment have a lovely saving on selected Mavala nail products.

WREWARDS BUY ANY 3 PAY FOR 2

This saving is only available to those that are part of the WREWARDS program, so if you don't have any Woolworths store cards then you really are missing out on those extra discounts and saving offers.

This Swiss beauty brand, known primarily in SA for nail and hand care have been making all things "nails" their business for over

50 years.

The quality of Mavala can always be assured and what I enjoy is the mini packaging of 5mls, which is considerably smaller than most other nail brands. I find that I rarely finish a larger sized bottle of nail polish, as it goes either thick or I lose interest in the colour and I end up throwing it away, whereas with the Mavala minis I do use to the end, also they are a great size to travel with. So whether you fancy treating yourself or just stocking up for upcoming gifts then check out some of my selections below.

Mavala Mini Nail Polish

R 72.00

MAVALA MAVADRY SPRAY #TBT REVIEW

I am so glad to have discovered this Quick Dry nail spray and
I have been using now for nearly 2 years and its become
a "must have" for me and for anyone who paints their own nails
like me...

MAVALA COLORFIX {REVIEW}

How I wish there was, on the market, a truly long wearing,
colour enhancing nail polish that is chip and peel free.
Over the years I have tried several polishes, top coats and treatments that all claim
to do the above and some do to a certain extent, whilst others fail dismally.
I thought I would put the Swiss brand Mavalas' Colorfix to the test.

Mavala Colour Fix Treatment is a uniquely formulated flexible top coat with acryl.
This treatment should be applied over a dry coat of colour nail polish.
Once it dries, the treatment forms a hard glaze that enhances
 the lustre and colour underneath.
Mavala Colorfix allows nail polish to stay supple and adds an armour coating
 that protects against daily chipping and peeling.
In my opinion this product could help to give weaker nails
a much needed extra layer of strength and support.

Quick and easy to use, I found this extra step in my "home mani" worth while.
It provides a clear coat that appears to harden and as the name suggests
 fix the colour of your polish and over the days the colour looked as
good as the day I applied it,
whilst providing a professional shine, which I loved.

I used over the top of Mavalas own nail polishes and several others and the
effect was the same.
There was no crazing or chipping, but I did experience some peeling at the
tips, but that could have just been some bad prep on my part.

This extra product does come in a little on the hide side price wise,
but if weekly DIY manicures are your thing then this could be a product
 to add to your kit.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {NOVEMBER 2020}

 WoW the time is seriously whizzing by and I cannot believe that we
are fast approaching Christmas and a New Year, which hopefully is better
than 2020.
November sees me reviewing 4 beauty products including two hair, one nail
and one make-up product.

MAVALA MAVADRY SPRAY
I have been on the hunt for a nail polish quick dry spray for
 sometime and I had no idea how difficult it was to find one,
let alone a good one.
Sorbet nail salons have a Quick Dry spray that they use at the end
of your mani or pedi, but unfortunately they don't retail it in salon
and neither do Clicks, the main other retailer of Sorbet products.
I eventually found this one from the Swiss nail experts MAVALA, so
I'm looking forward to giving this a try, even if it is on the pricey side.

INOAR RÉSISTANCE LOTUS SUPER AMPOULE
is a new launch from the hair salon brand INOAR.
This Super Ampoule offers 5-7 treatments per ampoule and promises
to Strengthens, Moisturise and Nourish the hair in 3 minutes  and this
sounds like my kinda hair product.

~~~~~~
BYTERRY LIGNE BLACKSTAR
is a waterproof liquid
eyeliner and having used the STILA Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid
Eyeliner for several years and I've decided to have a change and try
 this one, from one of my favourite brands BYTERRY.
*NOW POSTED*
~~~~~~

INOAR RÉSISTANCE LOTUS FLOWER OIL
also forms part of the new collection and is composed of
plant ingredients that penetrate deep into the hair fibre.
 This multi-purpose oil repairs,
strengthens, re aligns,reduces frizz and restores health and shine.

~~~~~~
As always, all of the above will be fully tried and tested, then reviewed
during the upcoming weeks on my blog.
In the meantime please let me know, in the comments below, if you
 have any other nail Quick Dry spray recommendations, as I would love
to hear from you.
QUICKIE PRODUCT REVIEWS {QPR'S} MAY 2020
I haven't done a QPR post since March, as I really haven't had any products to
"quick" review during Lockdown, but I do have for May.
I've a rather random selection of products for this months QPR'S
I have lips, nails and a hair product to give you my thoughts on.
1.
Brand : LABELLO
Product : CRAYON LIP BALM
Price : R69.95
These lip balms in the shape of a crayon are a recent launch from LABELLO.
LABELLO Crayon instantly provides your lips with high colour coverage, yet its
unique moisturizing formula instantly melts into your lips and keeps them
moisturized, with long-lasting effect and after buying the Black Cherry,
during a mad dash to Dischem during Lockdown, I'm super impressed with
the colour intensity, as I honestly thought the shade wouldn't be so intense,
 well I was wrong, its very intense.
I chose the Black Cherry, as I wasn't too impressed with the other two shade
options : Coral Crush or Nude.
It's difficult to say whether you call this a lipstick or lip balm as it does an
excellent job of being both.Its handy design makes it super quick and easy
to apply and the colour payoff is, as good, as any drugstore lipstick.
I'm a fan and would love to see more shades being launched soon.
Verdict :  8/10
2.
Brand : MAVALA
Product : NAIL POLISH REMOVER
Price : R104.95
100ml
Hands up on this one!
I'm not normally one who spends much money on premium
 nail polish removers and whilst MAVALA are known to be the experts when it
 comes to all things nails, being Swiss and imported they are somewhat pricey.
However I was pushed into a corner to pay more over the Christmas period
due to the fact I was wearing far more festive glitter polishes.
The culprit is in the pic : MORGAN TAYLOR : Sweetest Thing
Unfortunately my Sorbet and Cutex removers just weren't cutting it when
it came to the removal of the glitter.
I literally bought this on the consultants recommendation in Dischem and
thankfully it worked, albeit with some soaking and a lot of patience.
It does make light work of normal nail polish removal.
Please send me your recommendations, in the comments below,
 for removers that make this process a whole lot easier.
Verdict :  8/10
3.
Brand : PHILIP KINGSLEY
Product : ELASTICIZER
Size : 150ml
Price : £34.00/$49
If you read my blog in the UK or the USA then PHILIP KINGSLEY hair products
will be well known to you, especially his iconic ELASTICIZER.
 Not sold here in South Africa there is 1 sold every 2 minutes worldwide.
This is a Multi-award winning formula dry hair treatment.
Super conditioning pre-shampoo hair mask delivers elasticity, manageability,
bounce and shine to all hair textures.
Frequent use leaves hair stronger and healthier looking with less breakage.
I received this generous 40ml size in a Beauty Advent Calendar and thought I
would give it a try, despite me not enjoying Pre-Cleanse hair treatments.
I honestly find them such a faff to use, but I persevered with this one and used
until it was empty.
My verdict now!
I still don't enjoy the extra step in my hair washing routine,
however if this Pre Wash, Deep Conditioning Treatment had made my hair feel
great or given it more bounce then I may have changed my opinion.
I know this product is much loved, but personally it didn't WOW me or my hair.
My hair just felt "nice" after use, nothing any different to the way many other
"nice" conditioning treatments make my hair feel.
Verdict :  5/10
CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {DECEMBER 2017}
This is my last "Currently Under Review" post for the year and I find it hard
to believe that we will soon be heading into a new Year.
Will any of these products below make a last minute appearance onto my
 "Best of 2017" lists, which by the way, will be up on my blog during January.
1.
I can tell before I even try this product that I will absolutely love it,
just from its fragrance and concept alone. I became slightly obsessed with
the Snow Fairy Shower Gel from LUSH
last Christmas and being a limited edition for the holiday period only
 I scheduled a visit to my local LUSH at the end of October,
 when they receive the first drop of their Christmas offerings.
Not only did I stock up on 500ml bottles of Snow Fairy shower gel,
but I thought I would try their new Naked Snow Fairy Shower Gel (sans packaging)
and the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, so expect reviews on both of these soon.
2.
I recently purchased two nail polishes from the Swiss nail care brand MAVALA
and I received the MAVALA COLORFIX Nail Treatment product as a free gift,
 so, as always I will put this colour extender to the test and let you know whether
its worth a buy or not.
3.
I really enjoy using Micellar Cleansing Waters and I'm always on the hunt
for new ones to try.
The next Micellar Cleansing Water to go under review is a high end one
REN ROSA CENTIFOLIA 3-in-1 Cleansing Water
*NOW POSTED*
I'm a huge fan of the Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier and for the money
I rate it highly, so lets see it the Garnier one remains my "fave" after
using this one from REN.
