NUXE RÊVE DE MIEL HAND AND NAIL CREAM #TBT REVIEW

The reposting of this review, that dates back to 2017, was prompted by a purchase
this week of a NUXE Discovery Offer that contained a 30ml Rêve de Miel Hand Cream
and a full size Rêve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick.

The offer is retailing for R175 and I found mine at Woolworths Gateway and they still
had stock, but I'm not sure how long this offer has been around, but it offers good
 value and as the set is called "Discovery offer" it enables you to try two popular products
 from this much loved French brand.

I just so happened to be looking for another hand cream, as like many of you, I'm going
through tubes of hand cream like never before and as a bonus the lip balm, which is great
as I'm always on the hunt for Lip Balms to review.

I have reviewed the NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm previously on the blog,
so now I'm keen to try the moisturising stick.
You can read my previous reviews on NUXE products by clicking on the
Pink Links at the foot of the page.

I do hope this review helps you if you are currently looking for a good hand cream and lip
balm combo, as I don't think you can go wrong with this duo pack.

*NB This post was originally written in 2017 so prices and info may have changed*

~~~~~~
If you're a lover of Honey infused products then the French skincare brand NUXE
have a range, rêve de miel that's dedicated to the benefits of this sweet
fragrant, golden gem of an ingredient derived from nature.
This ultra-nourishing collection of products both comfort and soothe
the face,body and hair
thanks to the precious oils and of course that special ingredient- honey.
For this past week I have been using a sample of their Hand & Nail Cream and its
simply divine...
This paraben free non greasy, melting, velvety cream envelopes your hands like a
 comforting soft glove.
Tested in extremely cold climates the Honey, Sunflower, 7 Precious Oils and Vitamin E
all work their magic to ensure that the hands are soothed and nourished.
If your hands need lots of TLC or even if they don't,then you can't go wrong with this
repairing and protecting hand and nail cream.
It was a pleasure to use and I feel 2 x full size purchases coming on, one for "moi"
and one as a Christmas pressie for my mother.
I think it makes a great gift, as it's one, that just keeps on giving
cos a little bit of honey... is all you need.
NUXE RÊVE DE MIEL LIP MOISTURISING STICK {REVIEW}
I honestly dread to think how many Lip Balms I have used and spent money on over the years, as its always been a part of my beauty regime from way back when I was a teenager and I'm happy to report that they've come on in "leaps and bounds" with regards to research & development since then.
On Beauty Shout Box I have reviewed several Lip Balms etc., some great and some not so great, others just disappointed and some just didn't live up to expectations and my
latest review on the
NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick
sadly fell into the latter category...
I recently purchased this Discovery Offer from NUXE which contained one of my
favourite Hand Creams to read that review and the Lip Balm in a stick form, which I hadn't tried, so it was a good opportunity to put it to the BSB test.
All the Pink Links to previous relevant product reviews will be down below.
My Top 3 Lip Balms (as of May 2019) included the NUXE cult product
NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm
NUXE say that their Lip Moisturising Stick is an intensive, ultra-nourishing formula,
with a potent blend of honey, plant oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence, which delivers consistent hydration and protection (particularly in colder, wintry climates) without any irritating stickiness.
I can't really disagree with any of their claims above, as it depends on how dry or chapped your lips feel, I was just expecting the Lip Moisturising Stick to be as nourishing as the their Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, especially as it also claims to have an ultra-nourishing formula, unfortunately it's a "lightweight" in comparison.
I found the nourishing elements to soon disappear on my lips leaving them
 somewhat dry still and that's something that I don't experience with the
Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm and something I don't enjoy.
The clear slightly honey scented Lip Moisturising Stick is perfect though for speedy,
on-the-go use and way more convenient than the pot format.
 It also acts as the perfect base for under the driest of matte liquid lipsticks.
I also discovered that it can also be applied to dry patches anywhere on the skin
and can be soothing on eczema or psoriasis and being packaged in a lipstick ensures
its super quick and easy to both carry and apply.
Contains 90 % natural origin ingredients and does not contain Parabens.
I know this will sound very contradictory, the NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick
isn't a bad product by any means, but I can't help compare it to their
Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, so if you are looking for a super nourishing
lip balm from NUXE and don't mind the pot format, which lasts for ages by the way,
then skip the Lip Stick and head straight for the pot, but if you want the convenience of being able to apply on the go then the Lip Moisturising Stick is an option and
whilst I will finish this product I wouldn't re-purchase...
NUXE CRÈME FRAÎCHE® DE BEAUTÉ MASK {REVIEW}
Apologies - as this post is really long overdue, but it's worth the wait, as I can now highly recommend this Crème Fraîche Mask from the French brand NUXE.
I'm currently using two other products from NUXE the Gentle Toner Lotion with Rose petals and the Cleansing Milk with Rose Petals which I'm loving and a full review will posted at the end of February.
NUXE CRÈME FRAÎCHE® DE BEAUTÉ MASK
NUXE is a brand that I'm loving more and more with each product I use and despite the packaging of this Crème Fraîche Mask looking very underwhelming, it's what lies within this simple tube that matters.
(I believe the packaging has changed, but the formula is the same)
I will be the first to admit that even though I'm diligent with my weekly exfoliation, I've been rather lazy when it comes to masking for many months now and so much so, that I've made a decision to buy several face masks, which I have already done, and do more reviews,
so watch this space!
For me the texture and feel of a mask once applied is just as important as the results it achieves and the Crème Fraîche mask appealed to me after I read the front of the tube, as in my opinion it explains this mask perfectly.
NUXE CRÈME FRAÎCHE® DE BEAUTÉ MASK
Put simply it is a...
24hr Soothing and Re-Hydrating & Relaxing Fresh Mask
For Face and Eye Contour
For All Skin Types
NUXE CRÈME FRAÎCHE® DE BEAUTÉ MASK
This mask forms part of the Crème Fraîche® de Beauté range, which the NUXE Laboratory developed to provide continuous moisture and to soothe sensitive skins for up to 24 hours.
The pleasant orange blossom fragranced creamy/gel textured mask provides intensive relief and instantly soothes skin discomfort, whilst hydrating and soothing the skin for 24 hours.
Plant Milks,White Blossom,Aloe Vera Sap and Macadamia Oil provides intensive moisturization even for the driest of skins and all without leaving your skin with any unwanted greasy residue.
Oh! and did I mention it even leaves the skin looking more radiant.
It couldn't be any easier to use, as this no nonsense mask
can be generously applied to the face and eye area preferably after your weekly exfoliation.
(this is another bonus as many masks cannot be applied around the area)
and then just leave it on for 10 minutes before either massaging into the skin any unabsorbed product or you can just remove with a toning lotion.
I always advise, where applicable, to massage the excess into the skin rather than remove and then just omit your night cream. I found myself using this method on several consecutive nights purely because I enjoyed the cooling and soothing effect on my skin,especially in the sticky humid climate of Durban.
The Crème Fraîche range could be worth some further investigation by Moi, as I loved both the feel of the product on my skin and how it left my skin feeling, so it scored high in terms of the skin "feel Good" factor.
It just goes to show that you mustn't judge a "mask" by its cover.
NUXE COMFORTING CLEANSING MILK & GENTLE TONING LOTION WITH ROSE PETALS {REVEIW}
The French skincare brand NUXE is slowly but surely creeping more into my daily beauty regime and I don't mind at all...
I have reviewed several of their products to date and non have disappointed, unlike some brands that I sometimes have a "love hate" relationship with.
To read my previous reviews on NUXE products click on the Pink Links at the end of this post.
NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk & Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals
NUXE has been around for the past 20 years and has become a hugely popular and well respected drugstore brand in France, but don't be fooled into thinking it carries a budget price tag here in South Africa, as the price point pitches itself somewhere between
 "high end" budget and the "lower end" of the more expensive French ranges available here.
I've been on a mission over the past year or so to bring you reviews on a variety of affordable drugstore cleansing milks and toners, all in an attempt to save money without comprising quality and having found some cleansing and toning "gems", I recently opted to up the cleansing stakes a little and purchased the NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk and the NUXE Gentle Toning Lotion both with Rose Petals.
This paraben free duo is formulated for sensitive or normal to dry skins and was perfect choice for "moi".
Admittedly I was drawn firstly to the soft pink packaging, then the handy pump dispenser on the cleanser, which I wished more cleansers came with and then the mention of Rose Petals and I was "sold" before I had even tried the products.
Besides having a delicate rose fragrance the cleansing milk, whilst feeling gentle on my skin, had a rich velvety feel that very effectively removed make-up and impurities and left my skin feeling comforted, soft and perfectly cleansed.
Macadamia Oil is the key ingredient along with Damascena Rose flower water and Allantoin and these contribute to the 94.1% of ingredients that are derived from natural origin.
It can be used morning and evening all over the face, eyes and neck and can also be used to remove eye make-up, but I prefer to use a dedicated eye make-up remover as I didn't find it effective or speedy enough.
I enjoyed the luxurious softness and the comfort my skin felt after using this cleanser, which is often lacking in the cheaper options.
The Gentle Toning Lotion perfectly compliments the cleansing milk and as you would expect it leaves the skin feeling refreshed, soothed and soft.
Its alcohol and paraben free formula is also made up of 97.4% of natural origin ingredients.
This toner also works well to soothe and decongest, when a soaked cotton pad is placed over the eye area.
In between reviewing other cleansers and toners for my blog this cleansing and toning duo will without a doubt be my "go-to", especially as my previous favourite duo from the French brand Yves Rocher has been discontinued here in South Africa.
NUXE COMFORTING CLEANSING MILK & GENTLE TONING LOTION WITH ROSE PETALS #TBT REVIEW
Having just finished another tube of the NUXE rêve de miel Hand & Nail Cream
and its prompted me to post as this weeks #TBT review their
Comforting Cleansing Milk and Gentle Toning Lotion.
I reviewed these two products back in 2017 and even though I have converted somewhat
to cleansing balms/foams and oils I do still love a good luxurious cleansing
milk or cream.
Similarly with toners, I have also moved on to more multi tasking, exfoliating
tonics, but the more traditional cleansing and toning combo's still
have a place in my beauty regime.
If like me you enjoy a food cleansing and toning duo then this is one to
certainly consider.
*I have updated the prices below*
NUXE PRODIGIEUX (PRECIOUS) SCENTED SHOWER OIL WITH GOLDEN SHIMMER{REVIEW}
I should perhaps start off with the bad news, yes lets get this
 out of the way, I contacted NUXE South Africa
and this particular product is not available in SA, which is a pity, however
it is occasionally included as part of a gift set.
I'm a huge fan of their iconic NUXE Prodigieux Oil and if you haven't heard
about it or tried it then I suggest you read my review see the Pink Link
at the foot of this post. You can also
check it out at a NUXE counters in selected Woolworths or Truworths countrywide.
This NUXE Precious Scented Shower Oil with Golden Shimmer is not
a "must have" item, but I must say after using it several times this past week
it's  for sure a "lust have" beauty product and if you are a devotee of the Oil,
then you will love this Shower Oil.
NUXE Prodigieux Shower Oil is an amber coloured gel-oil that's derived
from the iconic Nuxe Prodigieuse Oil and maintains the same fragrance.
With tiny golden particles, it gives a radiant shine to the skin without being
too noticeable that the particles are there and has
a dense and luxurious texture that makes the shower routine a delight.
 It produces a fragrant lather that gently cleanses the skin and can be
 used on all skin types.
Once applied to a wet skin the gel transforms into a white
cleansing lather which performs a great job
and your skin is left feeling comfortable,radient and soft.
If you layer both the gel followed by the oil I can assure you,
you will be in NUXE Prodigieux heaven.
NUXE VERY ROSE 3-IN-1 SOOTHING MICELLAR WATER {REVIEW}
This Micellar Water from NUXE has been in my beauty sights for
a little while and my only hesitation re buying was down
to me loving my BIODERMA Micellar Water so much.
I recently got my hands on a 40ml travel size and it was the perfect
amount to try without purchasing the full size, especially as I'm a
newly BIODERMA Micellar Water convert, as it really is a great product
Laboratoire NUXE
has developed the VERY ROSE range of make-up removers and cleansers with Rose Floral Water which is known for its ability to soothe and soften
 the skin. They have a wide range of formulas and textures to meet
 every cleansing wish.
I have previously reviewed the Rose Soothing Cleanser & Toner
The
NUXE
Very Rose 3in1 Soothing Micellar Water
 has been formulated to remove
 make-up and cleanse the skin on the face and eyes, removing make-up
 and impurities.
Whilst it removed my foundation etc. swiftly and easily, it didn't cope
just as well with my eye make-up and mascara.
 It certainly leaves the skin feeling soothed, fresh and soft and even
 the delicate rose scent was delightful.
The product contains:
 Rose Floral Water:
recognised for its soothing and softening properties on all skin types,
including sensitive skin.
 100% botanical-origin Skin-Respect Complex:
consisting of Moisturising Sugars, it hydrates and strengthens skin’s
protective barrier.
Micellar cleansing agents:
 to effectively remove impurities and make-up while ensuring good skin tolerance.
*Formula containing no ingredients or derivatives of animal origin
97 % of the total ingredients are from natural origin
Formula tested under dermatological supervision.
How to use:
In the morning and evening, gently wipe a cotton pad soaked in
micellar water over your face and eyes.
Repeat the process until the cotton pad remains clear.
No need to rinse.
(I used as a first cleanse in a double cleanse and also as a
morning cleanser)
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this Micellar Water as much as I did.
I suspect I was misled, as to the efficiency of this product, by the
delicate pink packaging and soft rose scent, but don't be fooled as
 this Micellar Water is up there with the best and it will be one I will
re-visit in the beauty future...
