NUXE RÊVE DE THÉ REVITALISING GRANULAR SCRUB {REVIEW}

I have been using Body Scrubs/Exfoliators for as long as I can remember,
so you can imagine over the years I have used many.

My long time favourites have been the :
 Clarins Tonic Body Polisher
Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub
&
Rain Biologie Manketti & Starflower Body Scrub

I have written a post about My Top 3 Body Scrubs and you can read
the full reviews Here

Whilst I'm always on the lookout for new Body Scrubs, I tend to
stick to these same 3, however that has just changed, as I have a new
favourite on the scene.

The NUXE RÊVE DE THÉ Revitalising Granular Body Scrub
although launched recently, was not on my beauty radar and my purchase
was totally influenced by the NUXE consultant.
As with all new launches the consultant should introduce her new products
and that's exactly what she did, unbeknown to her I was actually
needing to purchase a body scrub.
She tested on the back of my hand and the coarse granular texture
and the Green Tea fragrance sold it it to me instantly.

The body scrub forms just one product in the collection of
Rêve de thé products, others being a Body Milk, Deodorant, Shower Gel
amongst others.

The method of application is the normal way i.e.
Once or twice a week, after washing, apply the scrub to your still damp skin, massage in circular motions, then finish by rinsing off with cool water.

This product is also a Vegan formula with no ingredients or derivatives
 of animal origin and is
96% of total ingredients are of natural origin.

This surprising exfoliating scrub, an ultra-fresh cocktail combining a green
 Tea extract with Bamboo grains, removes dead skin cells to leave skin feeling revitalized and invigorated, appearing renewed.
 Its granular texture and its irresistible scent with notes of green tea,
rhubarb and fresh herbs delight the senses to create a revitalizing
sensation of freshness.
 Formulated using plant-based exfoliants, this scrub with its crushed ice effect texture exfoliates and smoothes the skin.
 Freed of dead surface skin cells, skin feels revitalised and renewed.
 For me it combines the perfect exfoliation with a great refreshing fragrance
It's truly bliss for the senses and I adore it...

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {MAY 2022}

 I'm not going to dwell of April, as it was A horrendous month
here in KZN and I'm happy to see the back of it and today we welcome
a new month and hopefully May will be much kinder to us all.

I have 5 products under review this month 2 are body products,
an eye make-up remover, a hydrating mist and a super expensive cream
 from a brand that has been on my wish list for several years.
Be sure to follow me so you don't miss any of my reviews, all social
media links are at the top in the right hand side bar, just click on the links
and follow.

AUGUSTINUS BADER
THE RICH CREAM

I never thought that I would ever be able to review any of the
AUGUSTINUS BADER products due to the super high price point,
however that changed with my 2021 John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar
as it included this full size The Rich Cream and to be honest it was one
of the products that made me opt for this particular calendar.
My review will only be posted in several months, as you know I like to
 fully try and test creams and serums, so there will be no quick review
here and hopefully I have good things to report back to you.

URIAGE
WATERPROOF
EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

Having always used an eye make-up remover, since as long as I
 can remember, I do enjoy a Bi-Phase option and this is what drew
me to this one from the French brand URIAGE.
URIAGE isn't a brand that I haven't explored too much of, so
who knows this product, if good may just whet my appetite to try
more from this affordable brand.

3.

SKIN PROUD
HYDRATING FACIAL MIST

I'm on a little journey with the brand SKIN PROUD, as it's my
3rd product that I'm trying and there's one that I have already
re-purchased and absolutely love. To read my quickie review on the
SKIN PROUD ICICLE COOLING EYE SERUM STICK
I am partial to a facial spray and it was only a matter of time before
I would add this to my collection.

4.

ELEMIS
COOL-DOWN
BODY WASH

I seem to have an ELEMIS product to review for you most months
and May is no exception, as I have a body wash to report back on
and I can already tell you that it smells divine, which is exciting me
greatly and I cannot wait to get stuck into this product.

NUXE
RÊVE DE THÉ
REVITALISING
GRANULAR SCRUB

This was an "out of the blue" purchase for me and it was totally
 down to the NUXE consultant, who sold it to me, granted it was a
combo of my favourite things, a very granular scrub and a divine
 fragrance. She also caught me, as I was on the look out for a new
body scrub, but I wasn't heading to NUXE for one.
Newly launched I was hooked after one sniff and feel on the back of my hand,
 so I can assure you that my review will be full of admiration only.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried out any of the above,
as I would love to know.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES {MAY & JUNE 2021}

 As always my monthly favourites span over 2 months,
which means only those standout products that I've used
over this period, will make it into this post.
I have 4 products to feature and I highly recommend them all.

1.
SUMMER FRIDAYS
JET LAG MASK

After being on my beauty Wish List for so long this much lusted
after iconic face mask did not disappoint.
It's a multi tasking product that can be used as a nightly mask,
daytime moisturiser, or in-flight skin saver and is packed with
nourishing vitamins, ceramides and antioxidants that leave the skin
renewed, radiant and basically ready for anything.

~~~~~~
2.
BURT'S BEES
LEMON BUTTER
CUTICLE CREAM
This product was a surprise for me, as I didn't anticipate loving it
as much as I do.
It sits on my bedside table and I have no issue with remembering
to use, as everything about this handy little tin of lemony freshness is
a pure pleasure to use and it left my dry cuticles feeler much softer
 and more nourished.
~~~~~~

3.
NUXE
VERY ROSE
3-IN-1
SOOTHING MICELLAR WATER

Here's another surprise and I was misled as to the efficiency of this product,
by the delicate pink packaging and soft rose scent, but don't be fooled as
 this Micellar Water is up there with the best.

~~~~~~
4.
ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
OVERNIGHT MATRIX
This night cream has been an absolute dream to use.
I agree 100% with all of their product claims and I must also make
mention of how wonderful it smells, as it has that beautiful
 ELEMIS
 "Spa in a Jar" aroma.
Personally my skin has never felt and looked so smooth, nourished,
firm, yet relaxed and dare I say it "more youthful" & "bouncy"
since using ELEMIS consistently for the past 6 months.
Let me know in the comments below if any of these are
your current favourites...
NUXE COMFORTING CLEANSING MILK & GENTLE TONING LOTION WITH ROSE PETALS #TBT REVIEW
Having just finished another tube of the NUXE rêve de miel Hand & Nail Cream
and its prompted me to post as this weeks #TBT review their
Comforting Cleansing Milk and Gentle Toning Lotion.
I reviewed these two products back in 2017 and even though I have converted somewhat
to cleansing balms/foams and oils I do still love a good luxurious cleansing
milk or cream.
Similarly with toners, I have also moved on to more multi tasking, exfoliating
tonics, but the more traditional cleansing and toning combo's still
have a place in my beauty regime.
If like me you enjoy a food cleansing and toning duo then this is one to
certainly consider.
*I have updated the prices below*
~~~~~~

The French skincare brand NUXE is slowly but surely creeping more into my daily beauty regime and
I don't mind at all...
I have reviewed several of their products to date and non have disappointed, unlike some brands that
I sometimes have a "love hate" relationship with.
To read my previous reviews on NUXE products click on the Pink Links at the end of this post.

NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk & Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals

NUXE has been around for the past 20 years and has become a hugely popular and well respected drugstore brand in France, but don't be fooled into thinking it carries a budget price tag here in South Africa, as the price point pitches itself somewhere between
 "high end" budget and the "lower end" of the more expensive French ranges available here.

I've been on a mission over the past year or so to bring you reviews on a variety of affordable drugstore cleansing milks and toners, all in an attempt to save money without comprising quality and having found some cleansing and toning "gems", I recently opted to up the cleansing stakes a little and purchased the NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk and the NUXE Gentle Toning Lotion both with Rose Petals.
This paraben free duo is formulated for sensitive or normal to dry skins and was perfect choice for "moi".

Admittedly I was drawn firstly to the soft pink packaging, then the handy pump dispenser on the cleanser, which I wished more cleansers came with and then the mention of Rose Petals and I was "sold" before I had even tried the products.

Besides having a delicate rose fragrance the cleansing milk, whilst feeling gentle on my skin, had a rich velvety feel that very effectively removed make-up and impurities and left my skin feeling comforted, soft and perfectly cleansed.

Macadamia Oil is the key ingredient along with Damascena Rose flower water and Allantoin and these contribute to the 94.1% of ingredients that are derived from natural origin.
It can be used morning and evening all over the face, eyes and neck and can also be used to remove eye make-up, but I prefer to use a dedicated eye make-up remover as I didn't find it effective or speedy enough.
I enjoyed the luxurious softness and the comfort my skin felt after using this cleanser, which is often lacking in the cheaper options.

The Gentle Toning Lotion perfectly compliments the cleansing milk and as you would expect it leaves the skin feeling refreshed, soothed and soft.
Its alcohol and paraben free formula is also made up of 97.4% of natural origin ingredients.
This toner also works well to soothe and decongest, when a soaked cotton pad is placed over the eye area.

In between reviewing other cleansers and toners for my blog this cleansing and toning duo will without a doubt be my "go-to", especially as my previous favourite duo from the French brand Yves Rocher has been discontinued here in South Africa.

Available in selected Truworths and Woolworths countrywide

NUXE RÊVE DE MIEL LIP MOISTURISING STICK {REVIEW}

I honestly dread to think how many Lip Balms I have used and spent money on over the years, as its always been a part of my beauty regime from way back when I was a teenager and I'm happy to report that they've come on in "leaps and bounds" with regards to research & development since then.

On Beauty Shout Box I have reviewed several Lip Balms etc., some great and some not so great, others just disappointed and some just didn't live up to expectations and my
latest review on the
NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick
sadly fell into the latter category...

I recently purchased this Discovery Offer from NUXE which contained one of my
favourite Hand Creams to read that review and the Lip Balm in a stick form, which I hadn't tried, so it was a good opportunity to put it to the BSB test.
All the Pink Links to previous relevant product reviews will be down below.

My Top 3 Lip Balms (as of May 2019) included the NUXE cult product
NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm

NUXE say that their Lip Moisturising Stick is an intensive, ultra-nourishing formula,
with a potent blend of honey, plant oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence, which delivers consistent hydration and protection (particularly in colder, wintry climates) without any irritating stickiness.

I can't really disagree with any of their claims above, as it depends on how dry or chapped your lips feel, I was just expecting the Lip Moisturising Stick to be as nourishing as the their Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, especially as it also claims to have an ultra-nourishing formula, unfortunately it's a "lightweight" in comparison.
I found the nourishing elements to soon disappear on my lips leaving them
 somewhat dry still and that's something that I don't experience with the
Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm and something I don't enjoy.

The clear slightly honey scented Lip Moisturising Stick is perfect though for speedy,
on-the-go use and way more convenient than the pot format.
 It also acts as the perfect base for under the driest of matte liquid lipsticks.

I also discovered that it can also be applied to dry patches anywhere on the skin
and can be soothing on eczema or psoriasis and being packaged in a lipstick ensures
its super quick and easy to both carry and apply.
Contains 90 % natural origin ingredients and does not contain Parabens.

I know this will sound very contradictory, the NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Moisturising Stick
isn't a bad product by any means, but I can't help compare it to their
Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, so if you are looking for a super nourishing
lip balm from NUXE and don't mind the pot format, which lasts for ages by the way,
then skip the Lip Stick and head straight for the pot, but if you want the convenience of being able to apply on the go then the Lip Moisturising Stick is an option and
whilst I will finish this product I wouldn't re-purchase...

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {JUNE 2020}

The saying "Time stands still for no man" (or woman) has never been more true
than over the past few months and weeks of "Lockdown in South Africa".
I find myself writing my Beauty Products Currently Under Review post
so late, as we are a week into the month already!

Here are the three products that I am currently using and as always my reviews
will be posted in the future giving you my thoughts and opinions and whether
 they are worthy a purchase or not...

1.

I recently reviewed the NATUR VITAL S.O.S. Revitalising Shampoo for Normal Hair
and I highly rated this shampoo from the Spanish haircare brand, that's available
exclusively at Dischems countrywide and I was kindly sent the
 NATUR VITAL Hair S.O.S.Fortifying Conditioner
for damaged hair.
 I recently purchased the shampoo, so I now have the
corresponding conditioner to put to the test.

2.

I have reviewed the Rève Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm from the French brand
NUXE several years ago, which is in the pot presentation and I loved it,
as do so many and I'm excited to review their
rève de meil Lip Moisturising Stick

3.

To date I haven't been disappointed with any products from the French brand
PAYOT
and I was lucky to be sent a jar of their
Roselift Collagène Night Cream
which forms part of a Roseslift Collagène collection for the face.

They are all formulated to work in synergy to help firm and lift the skin.
I'm excited to give this product a trial, as it's perfectly suited to the needs of my skin,
at my age and I always love reviewing prestige or luxe skin care products,
 so be sure and keep an eye open for my in-depth review in a couple of months time.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any of the above
and your opinions...
