FRIDAY FOLLOW-UP {MAY 2023}

WoW its been a while since I posted a Friday Follow-Up post
where it lets you know how I feel about some of the products that I
 have already previously reviewed.
Sometimes I have extra info to add to the original review and on
the very rare occasion I have done a complete about turn
on the product.

~~~~~~
DERMALOGICA
NECK FIT
CONTOUR SERUM
"In short, this serum for the neck was exactly what I was looking for
as it seriously delivers on all of its claims.
It visibly lifts, tightens, firms and tones the neck and décolleté
Smoothes fine lines and helps protect skin against pollution
Reduces the appearance of skin ageing.
Dermalogica says the tube should last approx 6 weeks if used twice
a day, however I would say this is a cautious estimate as I have
been using for longer than 6 weeks and I still seem to have
plenty left in my tube."
*I'm happy to report back, that despite the hefty price tag and its
roller applicator, it did last way beyond the 6 weeks that
Dermalogica claimed.
This means the product offers a relative low cost price per use
and considering how good this product IS, its a winner.
KÉRASTASE
GENESIS
FONDANT RENFORÇATEUR
Very similar to skincare, some ranges just don't bring out
the best in your skin and its the same for haircare ranges and I fear
this is what's happening with the KÉRASTASE GENESIS range.
I found it to be difficult to rinse out of my hair and then it proceeded to
leave an unpleasant oily coating on the hair shaft.
I gave up after several attempts to find the ideal amount to use
I enjoyed both the shampoo and the blow dry primer, however initially
the conditioner was a NO NO, so I set it aside to try again later, sadly
it didn't improve and it did appear on my Most Disappointing Products list.
DERMALOGICA
SKINPERFECT PRIMER
SPF 30
I have another Dermalogica product to include in this feedback post.
I was super impressed with this rather unassuming product that
Illuminates+Primes+Protects.
I love a multi functional product and it's especially useful if you are
time strapped or just having a lazy skincare day.
As I wrote in my original review:
"My only reservation about my new "skin find" is the size and price.
It comes in a rather small 22ml size tube, yet it has a hefty price tag.
Dermalogica do say it lasts for approximately 63 uses and they include
a tube dispenser to help get the most product out of the tube."
I adore this product, but I'm not sure that the price tag of R1,100 per
22ml tube is sustainable for my current beauty budget.
Bottom line is, this tube is just too small of a quantity and as you can
 imagine it didn't last too long, so I think this product despite me loving
it, will have to be sadly dropped from my skincare routine.
BY TERRY
CRAYON KHÔL TERRYBLY
 EYELINER
I hate to be including this product, but despite it being the best eye pencil
 I have ever used, it unfortunately has a drawback.
"This eye pencil/eyeliner has an incredibly soft ultra-creamy texture,
it's a perfect softness and smudginess for the oldies to use, whilst it
doesn't pull our already stretched skin on our eyelids."
There is a pay off for this softness, so be prepared to plough through
these eye pencils, as its the only one that I have completely finished.
It hasn't stopped me re-purchasing, but please be aware its the quickest
 eye pencil you will ever finish.
MONTHLY FAVOURITES {JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2023 }
My first Monthly Favourites of 2023 and these 4 products
made for an excellent start to the year.
In order to read my original reviews click on the Pink Links below.
1.
ORIGINS
DRINK UP INTENSIVE
OVERNIGHT HYDRATING
MASK
I was pleasantly surprised by this mask, I enjoyed the non oily
creamy gel consistency, the fresh
fragrance, but most of all I absolutely loved the cooling sensation
on the skin and if you keep it in the fridge it's super refreshing and
calming on hot days.
I love the fact that it's available in a 20ml size which is perfect
as a travel/introductory size.
if you are searching for an easy overnight, no rinse, leave on mask
 that gives your skin a power shot drink of both
nourishment and hydration then this is
THE ONE
and if you are time poor, when it comes to masking, then this is
DEFINITELY THE ONE
 This has now has found a spot in my every expanding
"Masking Wardrobe".
2.
DERMALOGICA
SKINPERFECT PRIMER
SPF 30
It's a make-up primer, sunscreen and treatment for skin ageing in one.
I was super impressed with this rather unassuming product that
Illuminates+Primes+Protects.
The texture of this product is quite unique as it has a velvety mousse
feel, which glides across the face beautifully and makes
for easy application.
I love a multi functional product and it's especially useful if you are
time strapped or just having a lazy skincare day, and I have many
of those during Summer.
3.
RITUALS
RITUAL OF AYURVEDA
NOURISHING RICH BODY OIL
As the name suggests this oil is rich, very rich and a little is all
that's needed for skin to be left feeling incredibly nourished and the
fragrance is magnified as the oil warms on your body, so if like me you
 want all the Indian Rose and Sweet Almond scent you can get,
 then this product has it.
4.
TATA HARPER
REGENERATING CLEANSER
This Regenerating Cleanser
is a daily cleansing & exfoliating treatment that buffs and polishes
for radiant, healthy looking skin.
This was, without doubt, one of the best smelling cleansers
I've ever used, it was naturally fresh and citrusy and truthfully
 it lifted my mood instantly.
if you are looking for a natural organic, yet luxury skincare brand,
 then you cannot go wrong with TATA HARPER and this cleanser
would be a perfect product to start with....
DERMALOGICA SKINPERFECT PRIMER SPF30 {REVIEW}
This is one of those products that I didn't know I needed, until I was
introduced to it very recently via a Dermalogica facial.
It wasn't on my radar or even a product that I'd heard of, the
DERMALOGICA SKINPERFECT PRIMER SPF30
is a make-up primer, sunscreen and treatment for skin ageing in one
and it was applied at the end of my facial.
It has a silky feel and provides a smooth surface for a "soft focus" effect
and combined with the glow of my facial, my skin looked great.
*This product has replaced the Dermalogica HydraBlur Primer, which I did
review several years ago, however this SKINPERFECT PRIMER is
on a different level altogether.
It smooths fine lines, brightens and primes for flawless skin,
and prep for make-up application.
Formulated with Soy Protein, that helps even out skin texture,
creating a smoother surface.
The texture of this product is quite unique as it has a velvety mousse
feel, which glides across the face beautifully and makes
for easy application.
Pearl Powder and natural earth minerals provide a neutral tint for
visible luminosity, radiance and it delivers both in "beauty bucketloads".
 It also contains Broad Spectrum
sunscreens that help shield against sun damage triggered by UV light
and an SPF 30 is always welcome in any moisturiser/primer.
This product has flexibility, which I like, as it can be worn alone,
over your moisturiser, or after moisturiser application
 and before foundation, to help decrease the appearance of fine lines
 for a lasting make-up finish.
It can be used on all skin types.
Having tried all ways and I enjoyed them all, my preferred choice
is to just wear it alone.
I was super impressed with this rather unassuming product that
Illuminates+Primes+Protects
 and I bought one immediately post facial.
I love a multi functional product and it's especially useful if you are
time strapped or just having a lazy skincare day, and I have many
of those during Summer.
My only reservation about my new "skin find" is the size and price.
It comes in a rather small 22ml size tube, yet it has a hefty price tag.
Dermalogica do say it lasts for approximately 63 uses and they include
a tube dispenser to help get the most product out of the tube.
 I will reserve comment,  as I haven't yet finished, but I will report
back to you, but for now I'm very much enjoying my
 Illuminating, Smoothing, Brightening,Tinted, SPF 30 Skin Primer...
