URIAGE EAU THEMALE MOISTURISING LIP BALM {REVIEW}

Here I am again with another Lip Balm review and this time
its one from the drugstore French brand URIAGE

It claims to repair, regenerate, nourish, soothe and protect the lips against
 daily aggressions (free radicals, etc.)
 whilst not breaking or melting.

Shea butter brings intense nutrition for dried out lips, protecting them
against external aggressions.
Borage oil works to restore damaged and weakened lips.
Vitamin C & E

In a handy stick form, its been put to good use recently as we have
been having a cold snap and its done all that I expect from a lip balm.
It does feel firmer in the bullet, more so than many lip balms I have tried
and I'm hopeful that it won't  soften too much and break, which can
sometimes be a problem in the KZN heat and humidity.

It's a pleasantly rich and creamy balm that fills your lips
with nourishing comfort and despite liking this URIAGE offering,
it isn't WOWing me and after reviewing so many lip balms,
I need to be seriously impressed with anything that I now try.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {JUNE 2022}

I have just 3 products "Under Review" this month, the one being a
make-up item, that wasn't even on my radar, a lip balm simply because
I'm a lip balm junkie and a cleanser from a brand that I have admired
from afar.
As always I will be bringing my full reviews during the month of June.
Please let me know in the comments below if you have tried any of
the above as I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

1.

FENTY BEAUTY
EAZE DROP
BLURRING SKIN TINT

Not on my beauty radar, but seeing Fenty Beauty launched in Africa just
a few days ago I went along to see what was on offer.
Having only reviewed one product, the Full Frontal Mascara, I'm
keen to put this blurring skin tint to the test that caught my eye.
I was colour matched in store and I walked away with the
perfect shade no.8.

2.

KATE SOMERVILLE
EXFOLIKATE
CLEANSER

I don't think I have reviewed a Kate Somerville product before,
but I am aware of the brand, so I was very happy to
find this gentle exfoliating cleanser behind one of the doors in my
 2021
John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar.

URIAGE
EAU THERMALE
MOISTURISING LIPSTICK

For those that have been around Beauty Shout Box for many
years will know that I have a weakness for lip balms and have
posted many reviews here on my blog, well there will be one
more added very soon in the form of this offering from the French
brand URIAGE.

URIAGE WATERPROOF EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER {REVIEW}

 Uriage
is a French brand that I have only tried a couple of products from
and I see that its recently been added to Woolworths product line-up.

Here is a reminder as to what Uriage is all about.

"In the heart of the French Alps, Uriage Thermal water has flowed
 for 75 years.
As the seasons pass by, it gets enriched with minerals and trace elements.
In the center of the Uriage-les-Bains village, the water spouts to
 create a regenerating thermal spring.
Unique properties are born from this journey.
Uniquely rich, it reinforces your skin barrier.
100% physiological, Uriage Thermal Water is active and natural.
Uriage laboratory encapsulates its benefits in all products.
Uriage skincare products are pure, protective and powerful"

Some weeks ago I was needing an eye make-up remover and I
opted for their Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover, not that I wear
very much waterproof eye make-up, but it's a bi-phase formula,
which I generally enjoy.
This product can also be used to remove lipstick and cleanse the lips.

The formula of Waterproof Eye Make-up Remover has been specially
designed for women with sensitive eyes (not that I have)
It can remove even the most intense make-up (which I don't wear)
very quickly and its the "very quickly" part that drew me in.
This product is also :
 Hypoallergenic,Fragrance-free and Ophthalmologically tested.

As with any bi-phase product it's vital to shake well before each use
to mix the 2 phases together.

The make-up removing effectiveness is due to its dual-phase formula:
the oil phase dissolves waterproof make-up while the aqueous phase
keeps the product from feeling greasy, unfortunately this is where I had
an issue with this product.
Whilst it does remove eye make-up and mascara
quickly and super easily it does leave behind a film of grease, which I
personally didn't enjoy, however this
was quickly remedied with a wipe over of a micellar water pad,
a step by the way that's never needed with any of my other bi-phase
eye make-up removers. If you would like to read my previous
Eye Make-up Remover Reviews click here

It does seems counter productive considering that this remover contains
Cornflower floral water and Uriage Thermal Water, the "water" part,
which both soothes and ensures a feeling of comfort actually
leaves a feeling of greasiness behind.
(I did try adjusting the amount applied and shaking the bottle more vigorously,
but that slippy film was always left behind on the skin)

That being said, if you don't mind the extra step, this is excellent
remover and I'm sure it would make easy work of all types of waterproof
eye make-up, especially mascaras and stubborn lipsticks...

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {MAY 2022}

I'm not going to dwell of April, as it was A horrendous month
here in KZN and I'm happy to see the back of it and today we welcome
a new month and hopefully May will be much kinder to us all.

I have 5 products under review this month 2 are body products,
an eye make-up remover, a hydrating mist and a super expensive cream
from a brand that has been on my wish list for several years.

AUGUSTINUS BADER
THE RICH CREAM

I never thought that I would ever be able to review any of the
AUGUSTINUS BADER products due to the super high price point,
however that changed with my 2021 John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar
as it included this full size The Rich Cream and to be honest it was one
of the products that made me opt for this particular calendar.
My review will only be posted in several months, as you know I like to
fully try and test creams and serums, so there will be no quick review
here and hopefully I have good things to report back to you.

URIAGE
WATERPROOF
EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

Having always used an eye make-up remover, since as long as I
can remember, I do enjoy a Bi-Phase option and this is what drew
me to this one from the French brand URIAGE.
URIAGE isn't a brand that I haven't explored too much of, so
who knows this product, if good may just whet my appetite to try
more from this affordable brand.

3.

SKIN PROUD
HYDRATING FACIAL MIST

I'm on a little journey with the brand SKIN PROUD, as it's my
3rd product that I'm trying and there's one that I have already
re-purchased and absolutely love. To read my quickie review on the
SKIN PROUD ICICLE COOLING EYE SERUM STICK
I am partial to a facial spray and it was only a matter of time before
I would add this to my collection.

ELEMIS
COOL-DOWN
BODY WASH

I seem to have an ELEMIS product to review for you most months
and May is no exception, as I have a body wash to report back on
and I can already tell you that it smells divine, which is exciting me
greatly and I cannot wait to get stuck into this product.

NUXE
RÊVE DE THÉ
REVITALISING
GRANULAR SCRUB

This was an "out of the blue" purchase for me and it was totally
down to the NUXE consultant, who sold it to me, granted it was a
combo of my favourite things, a very granular scrub and a divine
fragrance. She also caught me, as I was on the look out for a new
body scrub, but I wasn't heading to NUXE for one.
Newly launched I was hooked after one sniff and feel on the back of my hand,
so I can assure you that my review will be full of admiration only.
