For those of us that love a glass of vino then this brand could be

of great interest to you.

Caudalie has been on my beauty radar for several years and I regret not buying

some of their iconic beauty products on my last trip to France.
(Interesting fact me sister lives just 2 hours away from Bordeaux, 
so it's definitely on my bucket list to visit the
Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa outside of Bordeaux)

I have a slight obsession with a good facial water spray and I include them daily
 in my beauty routine, in fact I merrily spritz away several times a day.
I have a wardrobe of four facial water sprays and even though, on the surface,
they may appear to perform the same function, for me they each have their
own specific strengths,who knew that facial water sprays could vary so much!

better product from Caudalie to review first.

Before I get to my review here is some background to the brand:

The skin care brand Caudalie was founded by Mathilde Thomas and her husband Bertrand. The story starts in Bordeaux (France), at the heart of the vineyards on the family estate. The vine and grapes possess exeptional powers for the skin - powers which were simply waiting to be developed. 'Do you know that you are throwing away treasures?" This sentence changed Mathilde's life. It marks the meeting with Professor Vercauteren. He is one of the world's specialists in Polyphenols and has been the scientific advisor of the research centre since the creation of Caudalie. Ever since the brand was created, products were created with the maximum amount of natural ingredients that respect the environment. In 2006, Mathilde took the decision to remove parabens from all their products.

One of my fascinations with this brand stems from its intriguing name 
and its beautiful meaning.

The Grape Water Spray itself is made from 100% organic ingredients, 
this gentle plant-based mist, extracted from grapes, works to sooth, refresh and moisturise the skin anytime, anywhere, whilst also reducing sensitivity.

It all starts with the picking of fresh grapes during the very first days of the harvest.
 The harvested grapes are then pressed and distilled using a low-pressure process. 
This exclusive Caudalie process makes it possible to isolate water from the 
grape juice by evaporation.
 This exceptional water is combined with a very small dose of pure 
organic red grape juice to achieve the perfect formula: 
Caudalie organic grape water.

This organic grape water spray has slotted perfectly into my facial water spray 
wardrobe and currently I seem to reach for the Caudalie more than the others.
It has all of those wonderful refreshing, calming and hydrating benefits that we
expect from any good facial water spray, but the Caudalie seems 
to have more of a moisturising element, thanks to the
"power of the Vine" 

Will there be a re-purchase?

was back in mid 2018 and it was their iconic Grape Water Spray

and how things have changed since

then, as CAUDALIE has become one of my top French skincare

CAUDALIE CRUSHED CABERNET SCRUB {REVIEW}

It's true to say that I'm currently a little obsessed with all things 

Caudalie

This French Skincare brand has been on my beauty  "Wish List" for several years

now and finally after my last two overseas trips I am now the proud owner of not

one or two products, but literally around 12 Caudalie products.

I've even declared March Caudalie Month on my blog, so expect a glut of reviews.

Sadly we only have one Official retailer here in South Africa Skins Cosmetics and having bought a couple 

of products there, it is obviously cheaper to purchase overseas,

but I didn't find the prices at Skins Cosmetics to be too exorbitant unlike 

the 3rd retailer websites we have here in SA.

Armed with my Caudalie shopping list the 

Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub

was on the very top.

As with the face, a weekly or twice weekly body exfoliation is the key to

anti-ageing and it's a practise that I've performed for literally "10's" of years

and I never find it a chore, as I just adore the way your skin feels afterwards.

Crushed Cabernet Scrub 

is Caudalie's signature Vinothérapie Spa scrub 

and a day visit to their Spa in Bordeaux is on my bucket list and has been for 

several years.

(it does help that my sister lives a 2 hour drive away making it more of a possibility)

Enriched with crushed grape-seeds and 6 essential oils, this natural body exfoliator 

leaves the skin smooth, soft and nourished.

I want my body scrubs to give a good invigorating exfoliation and the brown sugar and crushed grapes seeds do just that, however if you prefer the more gentle approach

 then just mix with more water to soften the exfoliation effect.

This scrub does have that typical divine spa fragrance and these energizing and invigorating notes are naturally derived from lemon, lemongrass, rosemary and juniper berries.

The final inclusion of a good dollop of Honey helps this scrub to soften the skin

and replenish that all important Hydro Lipidic layer. 

Apply twice a week to wet skin. 

Warm the scrub in your hands and massage the whole body in circular motions from bottom to top until 

the sugar has completely melted, then rinse.

As with all exfoliation products follow with a moisturising product.

This product contains 99% ingredients of natural origin. 

And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, 

mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. 

Thankfully I wasn't disappointed with this body scrub at all and it lived up to all of my expectations. 

I adore the packaging, the aesthetics of the product, the beautiful aroma and more importantly the polishing effects.

It reminded me very much of the Clarins Tonic Body Polisher, but even better.

I did review the Clarins Tonic Body Polisher back in 2017and it made it onto my 

Top 3 Body Products of that year, so if you love that polisher then I'm sure you

will love this one from Caudalie just as much as I do...

I'm a self confessed sucker for Lip Balms and this one from the French brand

 CAUDALIE 

must be my "millionth" one that I have tried over my many years,

maybe a slight exaggeration, but I seriously have put many to the test.

CAUDALIE has been my new found "French Love" and the Lip Balm, or Conditioner

 in this case, was always going to form part of my overseas CAUDALIE haul.

 I purchased a "special offer trio" of balms in their shop in Brugge Belgium

and I wished I had purchased another pack, as this lip conditioner has not 

left my side since November 2018.

If you're looking for a nourishing and protective lip conditioner, one that repairs and soothes damaged lips after each application, then look no further than this one from the skincare experts 

CAUDALIE.

    This Lip Conditioner glides easily across the lips and contains a delicate vanilla scent and with its anti-oxidant properties it delivers nutrition and protection all day long. Its texture instantly melts without a greasy effect and leaves your lips perfectly moisturized.

Formulated with 99% naturally-derived ingredients, the main ones are Grape Seed Oil, Apricot Oil and my absolute fave Shea Butter.This conditioner can be applied either alone or under/over any lipsticks and is especially comfortable over matte lipsticks, which can sometimes be drying to the lips.

And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used.

CAUDALIE VINOSOURCE INTENSE MOISTURE RESCUE CREAM {REVIEW}

I declared that March would be Caudalie Month here on Beauty Shout box,

so here is another review...

The Intensive Moisture Rescue Cream 

was not on my "wish list" from Caudalie and its purchase came about by necessity, let's say.

After 2 weeks of my skin being exposed to the cold elements of the Northern Hemisphere's

winter, back in December, my skin was quite literally needing some rescuing.

After carefully considering my choice of products to take away with me, my day cream

choice was perhaps not ideal, hence the need for a richer more protective cream.

Towards the end of my trip the consultant in the Caudalie Boutique in Brugge Belgium very kindly gave me three generous sample sachets to try and try I did.

The key to the products function, is in its name, as the cream is intense and rich. 

It's formulated to nourish and rescue very dry skin, replenishing hydration levels and restoring comfort and using the contents of those samples night and day, did just that.

Now let's fast forward to a couple of weeks after my return from Europe and an unexpected trip was then planned for three weeks to the cold, wintry UK in January and I knew that I had to get my hands on the full size of this Caudalie Skin Saver.

The only stockist in South Africa is Skins Cosmetics in Sandton, Johannesburg and luckily my youngest "Kiddiewink" was nearby and managed to get hold of one for me. Armed with this "Skin Saving" cream my skin behaved beautifully, that's due to this product being packed full of super active natural ingredients:

 Grape Seed Oil (anti-oxidant and nourishing)

Olive Squalane (moisturising but non oily)

Shea Butter (super moisturising and softening)

Vinolevure (moisturising and deeply strengthening)

Polyphenols (anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle)

The fast-absorbing buttery, yet lightweight texture restores and comforts the skin quickly without leaving a greasy finish.

Can be used over any serums and can be applied morning and evening.

Unfortunately this isn't a cream that I envisage my skin would need too often here in SA,as it is a rich and nourishing cream that soothes, repairs and protects very dry and dehydrated skin, but I'm sure it will be brought out in times of need.

And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. Dermatologically tested. 

What makes this product an ideal travel companion in colder climes is the fact that it helps to restore that all important hydrolipidic layer and strengthen the skin's barrier function to lock in moisture and restore long-lasting hydration and I cannot recommend this product highly enough...

CAUDALIE BEAUTY ELIXIR {REVIEW}

I cannot tell you how long this cult facial product from the French brand Caudalie

 has been on my wish list.

Not being the easiest of brands to obtain here in South Africa, in fact the only official stockist is 

Skins Cosmectics in Sandton Shopping Centre Johannesburg.

At the end of last year, on a trip overseas I went a little overboard to say the least, 

with my purchases from Caudalie.

I purchased my products from various outlets including, Feelunique - an online beauty store, SpaceNK,

 a Caudalie boutique in Belgium and SkinsCosmetics in Amsterdam.

In total, I now have around twelve products to try and review, so expect lots of Caudalie content this year. In fact my March "Currently Under Review" post will comprise totally of Caudalie products, so you could say that March is going to be my Caudalie Month.

This pioneering French brand, from the wine region Bordeaux, harnesses the

 power of grapes, vines, leaves and seeds to create anti-ageing skincare 

that's natural, ethical and ultra-effective.

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is much loved by beauty editors and beauty bloggers 

around the world  and I have to say that I join them wholeheartedly in 

their praise for this product.

This multi-tasking mist sets make-up, tones and tightens pores, smooths fine lines

 and gives the skin an instant boost of radiance. 

Can be used as a priming mist either under or over your completed make-up, 

enhancing its longevity and reviving tired and dull-looking skin.

Containing  extracts of grape, rosemary, orange blossom, rose, myrrh 

and organic balm mint this revitalising mist gives you an immediate radiance boost. 

Thankfully it was my skins absolute saviour on four long haul flights recently 

and truly makes a great travel companion.

The aromatic fragrance, which smells divine is both uplifting and calming for the mind and the senses.

My daily routine consists of setting my make-up in the morning and then

 just spritzing my skin several times during the hot summer days.

It would be a great "skin wake up" during those long days in the office.

Having gone through one of my two 30ml sizes already and I now wished that I had

purchased the 100ml for my dresser and a 30ml for travel.

Ideal for all skin types and loved by men also, this 100% Natural product turns out to

be one of  those items that you didn't realise you and your skin needed until you try it.

It's now a firm favourite in my beauty regime and as you can tell its a product that I can truthfully 
rave about, so if you have the chance to

get your hands on one...

CAUDALIE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER [REVIEW}

You may have noticed that over the past 12 months or so, that I've fallen in love

with the French brand Caudalie and to date I have reviewed around 12 of their

face and body products 

(all of which have been purchased by myself) and I'm happy to report 

that I haven't yet reviewed a product from Caudalie that

I didn't enjoy or wouldn't enthusiastically recommend to you,

Sadly that's all about to change with the 

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water

Whilst Micellar Waters form an important part of my skincare regime,

I don't use on a daily basis and for me they're ideal for travel, gym, 

as part of a double cleanse or just on those lazy skincare days. 

Caudalie say that this refreshing (which it is) daily-use (which it is) micellar water cleanses and removes make-up from the face and eyes in one single step (which it didn't)

I found this Micellar Water battled with both removing my face and eye make-up on those slightly heavier make-up days, remembering I'm not a full on, heavy make-up wearer.

Whilst it did remove, it certainly didn't do it in "one single step" as claimed.

So if you're a very light wearer of make-up or just want to cleanse the skin after gym etc then this product would be suitable.

Infused with soothing chamomile and moisturising grape water the skin feels comfortable after cleansing and leaves no feeling of tightness.
The fresh fragrance, which is pleasant, combines notes of mandarin tree blossom, lemon leaf, watermelon and fresh mint.

 Suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, the gentle, soap-free formula is made up of 98% naturally derived ingredients that respect the skin's natural pH balance. 

Dermatologically and ophtalmologically tested.
And as with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. 

Whilst I will finish my product, I personally wouldn't re-purchase and sadly this is my

first Caudalie that I wasn't "Wowed by", but I sill adore this brand...
