LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING MASK {REVIEW}

This was a face mask that I had lusted over for several years and having
finally acquired one I was excited to try for myself and see why everyone
raved about this cult Korean Beauty product.

The LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING MASK is an Award winning innovative
mask that claims to recharge your dehydrated skin while you sleep
and I do love a good "sleep-in" face mask.

My favourites of these type of gel re-hydrating type face masks are:

Formulated with highly concentrated Hydro Ionized Mineral Water to
deliver high doses of moisture to stressed, parched skin.
Calming Sleepscent™, infused with orange flower, rose, and sandalwood
provides a relaxing and comforting scent while apricot and evening primrose extracts helps visibly brighten and purify fatigued skin.
They claim the result will be skin that looks and feels radiant, refreshed,
and soft so you wake up with soft, glowing skin.
Where this sleep mask is different to the norm, you apply over
your normal nightly cream or serum in order to help retain/lock the moisture in
your skin overnight.
After the product is absorbed completely, leave treatment overnight
and rinse off in the morning.
Use once or twice a week.
Even though they advertise for all skin types, I personally think
this is better for a normal to oily skin rather than a dry skin.
It comes in 2 variants Original and Lavender and I opted for
the Original and the mask also comes with that all important spatula.
You can imagine my disappointment when I first tried this mask only to find
that it didn't agree with my skin whatsoever...whilst the cooling, lightweight
gel formulation and the fragrance are great, my skin soon started to feel uncomfortable and tingly and I had to remove, as I certainly wasn't able
to sleep with this mask on.
I actually waited a couple of weeks and tried again and I had more success this time, as I didn't experience any sensitivity and I was able to sleep with the mask overnight, however the expectations of waking with "soft, radiant and glowing skin" didn't happen, as I woke with extremely parched, dehydrated skin, the exact opposite of what the mask claims and to be honest I'm not sure why.
As advised I applied over the final product of my night routine and I did try over different night products thinking that it may be a reaction to one of those, but it made no difference. I tried this mask a total of 3 times and its sadly had its time with me and I won't be using it again, as I fail to see the fascination and hype of this mask.

LANEIGE LIP SLEEPING MASK {REVIEW}

I've had 2 products from the Korean beauty brand LANEIGE on my
wish list for what seems like an eternity and I managed to get both of
them right here in South Africa very recently.
Having never reviewed any products here on Beauty Shout box
from this brand here is a brief overview...

LANEIGE means "The Snow" in French.
A Korean skin care and make up brand with innovative,
water-based formulas that deliver swift and noticeable results,
LANEIGE is the true authority on all things H2O, with the brand having
spent over 25 years on unlocking the secrets to hydrated and healthy skin.
 How?
By delving deep into the depths of water science to create their very
 own ‘Advanced Water Complexes’.
Whether your complexion is naturally dehydrated, dull or slick with oil,
there’s an Advanced Water Complex to fully mop up your concerns.
Their water-rich recipes are unique and efficacious – ocean-brewed
with nutrient-dense vegetables, fuelled with moisture-enhancing minerals,
or cold-brewed and bursting with amino acids.

Their most iconic product is perhaps their award winning
Lip Sleeping Mask
that has a softening balm texture that closely adheres to lips
for quick absorption.
Enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants, Berry Mix Complex™ offers a
nutritiously sweet and fragrant blend of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry,
and blueberry extracts to indulge the senses.
Exclusive Moisture Wrap™ technology boasts hyaluronic acid and minerals
to form a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture and
active ingredients.

A generous layer of this soothing overnight lip mask at bedtime helps
reduce flakiness and dryness, so you can wake up to lips that feel refreshed,
supple, and soft to the touch.

Having used many times prior to it appearing on my           "Currently Under Review" post for August I can already see that this little pot will last and that's great on the purse.

Using the applicator(which comes in the box) apply hydrating lip mask
to the lips in the evening and leave on overnight.
Gently wipe off or cleanse in the morning.
Can be used during the day if the lips are particularly dry.
Free of parabens and phthalates.

Available in several flavours I opted for the only one I could get
my hands on, which was the Berry and that would have been
without doubt my 1st choice anyway.
Whilst the fragrance is noticeable, it isn't off putting if you are not a huge
fan of "all things Berry"...

This leave-on lip mask delivers on what it promises in abundance and
it's so deserving of all its awards and accolades.
As I am a "lip product addict" of note, I couldn't love this lip mask any more,
as the softness, smoothness and hydration levels are literally next level.
It's like no other lip product that I have ever used before and for
seriously dry lips its a "must have" without doubt.
My only regret is that I didn't get my hands on one sooner.

I ordered mine from an online South African 3rd retailer
and they currently have the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
on their Beauty Steals list for R330 instead of R550.

(I have ordered several products from them this year and have been
happy with the both the ordering process and delivery.
They also have an Authenticity Guarantee)
LANEIGE is also available at Sephora and Cult Beauty.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {AUGUST 2021}

What a month July has been and I, personally, am glad its over
and hopefully August will be a much better month.
The riots and unrest in KZN certainly made it onto many peoples
"worst time of their lives" list.
I have 4 products to review and this already fills me with hope
that it will be much improved on July.

I was kindly sent two new products to review from ELEMIS SA,
which excites me greatly, as I am a huge fan of the brand
(as I'm sure you can tell if you read my blog regularly or follow
me on FB & IG).

The Lip Sleeping Mask has long been "my" lusted after
lip product and I finally got my hands on one.
The 4th product is a little out of my beauty comfort zone, as I'm
slightly sceptical about whether
an eyelash growth serum can actually deliver on its claims.

LANEIGE
LIP SLEEPING MASK

After such a long wait I finally laid my hands on the iconic
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask.
Having lusted over this leave on, overnight lip mask for so long
that I do hope it doesn't disappoint.

TALIKA
LIPOCILS EXPERT

Lipocils Expert is a unique treatment that acts not only on eyelash growth,
but also on their curvature and natural pigmentation ...
Not a beauty product I would normally opt for but I'm willing
to put it to the test, as with many things associated with ageing, the
eyelashes do become lighter in pigment and more sparse, so this
will be an interesting review.

ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
ENERGISING MARINE
CLEANSER

My love of ELEMIS has grown over the past 24/36 months with
each product that I have tried and reviewed.
I was so kindly sent this cleanser by the brand and be assured that will
not detract from me giving an honest review.

ELEMIS
PRO-COLLAGEN
RENEWAL SERUM

I do love a good face serum, so I'm looking forward to trying this
Retinol alternative facial concentrate over the coming months.
Having used a serum from ELEMIS previously, and was very impressed,
I have high hopes for this one.

ON MY BEAUTY RADAR {MARCH 2021}

My list of products that I'm lusting over is growing, as I only updated
"On My Beauty Radar" mid February and here I am at the end of March
adding to it...
Needless to say I haven't been able to purchase any of the Urban Decay
products I added last month, as we no longer have UD in South Africa,
so those will have to be an overseas purchase which could
take a while. I only foresee my list growing ever longer, with no
products being added under the "purchased" heading for quite sometime.

{NEW ADDITIONS}

BYTERRY
HYALURONIC
HYDRA-CONCEALER

I'm a huge fan of French Luxury brand BYTERRY and my collection
 is building up nicely, however
they have very recently launched a couple of products that
have caught my eye and knowing how I love the items I already have, I'm
confident that I'll also love these new additions, but I'm not
sure my wallet will...

Their new Hyaluronic Hydra Concealer is 87% skincare based formula
and it promises to:
 Hydrates.
Disguises dark circles
Plumps and blurs
Brightens and protects
 Buildable coverage
Long-Lasting.
I always prefer my make-up to be more skincare focused and I cant wait to
get my hands on this concealer.

BYTERRY
HYALURONIC
GLOBAL FACE CREAM

Another new launch that has me intrigued is the
BYTERRY Hyaluronic Global Face Cream
A powerful Global Face moisturizer with 8 hyaluronic acids for intense hydration. Plumps, smooths and illuminates skin.
Clean, vegan formula. Fragrance-free. All skin types. Can be used am & pm.
I fear this one will be the wallet "attacker".

{STILL ON MY LIST}

URBAN DECAY
STAY NAKED HYDROMANIAC
Tinted Glow Foundation

Sadly URBAN DECAY are no longer available in South Africa and they
just so happened to have recently launched two products that have
caught my eye and would love to try.
It's a longwear, tinted glow foundation infused with kombucha filtrate and
marula oil for up to 24-hour hydration, coverage, and fresh glow.
£29

URBAN DECAY
LASH FREAK
MASCARA

As you know all too well I'm a bit of a mascara addict and this one really
appeals to me, as its an intensely volumising mascara with an
asymmetrical brush that lengthens, lifts, and curls lashes for a dramatic,
wide-eyed effect.
£22

LANEIGE
LIP SLEEPING MASK

The Korean Beauty brand LANEIGE formulated this, now infamous, award winning
leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips
overnight and being  slightly Lip Balm obsessed I had to add to my list.
I was so close to buying earlier this year, at Dubai Duty Free, but unfortunately
they don't sell the individual loose items, only a Duty Free exclusive pack of 4
and even for me 4 was way too many.
Retails $20 and available in 4 options:
 Original
Vanilla
Apple Lime
Berry

LANEIGE
WATER SLEEPING MASK

Now I do enjoy a good "leave on" face mask and thoroughly enjoyed my recent
LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA AERATING GEL MASK to read my full review
and I'm assuming this maybe quite similar, as it's an overnight, moisture-recharging gel mask that quickly absorbs while you sleep to deeply hydrate skin.
Again I missed out on this award winning mask as Duty Free only sold
packs of 2 and it was one too many, as it meant double the price.
Retails for $25 and is available in 2 variants:
Original
Lavender

SUMMER FRIDAYS
Jet Lag Mask

This much raved about Jet Lag Mask from SUMMER FRIDAYS is not available
in SA and since there's been no travel, I still haven't purchased it, so
On My Beauty Radar it stays...

{PURCHASED}

I can now say that I have purchased this foundation mid 2020
and I'm loving it, so much so that it made it onto my
Top Make-Up List of 2020 Here

BYTERRY
HYALURONIC
 HYDRA-FOUNDATION

As I'm sure you will already know, if you read my posts regularly, I do love me
some BYTERRY.
The latest addition to their make-up line up is a hydrating foundation, which I
would love to try, hence it's made it onto this list.

It's a Hydrating foundation.
Perfects and hydrates skin.
Buildable coverage.
Infused with hyaluronic acid.
Protects with SPF 30.
Long-wear.
Vegan formula
and it seems to tick all my foundation boxes and considering how much I enjoy
their iconic Brightening CC Serums to read my full reviews
I'm hopeful that this foundation will deliver.

and are they worthy of being on
