RECENT BEAUTY EMPTIES {OCTOBER 2020}

Even though I say it myself I am getting better at saving my
empty products so I can show you which I liked and have finished and those
that I would re-purchase.

L-R

1.

CAUDALIE
 Instant Foaming Cleanser

The Instant Foaming Cleanser has been a permanent fixture in my
shower now for over a year and I have yet to buy this product.
I received 3 x 50mls sizes in various free gifts and these handy travel sizes
have kept me going, until now.
As many of my readers will already know,I've learned to enjoy
foam/oil cleansers far more over the last 2-3 years, as I've always been
cleansing milk/lotion lover.
Even though I don't use it daily I do use it regularly for ease, to cleanse my
skin whilst I'm in the shower.
I have written a full review if you would like to know more about this
foaming cleansing product Click Here

2.

ELEMIS
revitalise-me
Hand & Body Wash

I was gifted this ELEMIS product by a friend back in 2019, yet I only started
using at the beginning of this year and I've so enjoyed using it.
I have not actually written a review on this product, so here's a
mini review.
I'm a huge fan of quality Hand Washes, hence the reason I was bought
it as a gift and it didn't disappoint.
I used mine as a hand wash and didn't try it as a body wash and it promises
to cleanse, revive and uplift the skin.

Powerful essential oils of Thyme, Basil and Neroli are conditioning and gentle
on the skin and also make this product smell very "Spa" like, which
was heavenly every time I washed my hands.
I find the better quality the hand wash is, the longer it lasts, as you only
need to use a small amount.
I don't think this particular ELEMIS product is available in South Africa
and mine was bought in the UK and it retails for £28.00 for 300 mls
and I'm very sorry to see this luxury hand wash finish.

3.

BATH & BODY WORKS
WHITE BARN
LAVENDER VANILLA
CANDLE

Again I think this is a product that I have never reviewed before here on
Beauty Shout Box. Bath and Body Works is a brand that we don't have
in South Africa or in the UK, however Dubai has several stores
and even a concession now at Dubai Airport, so as you can imagine a visit
is always a must when either stopping off or passing through the airport.
My regular purchases are the PocketBac, candles and liquid hand washes
and seeing I was last there in February I have a nice little stash to
keep me going for a while.
White Barn is a sister brand to Bath & Body Works and have the most
divine selection of affordable fragranced candles.(even in Rands)
Not only do they give a good
amount of fragrance during burning, but they also burn down
evenly and well. They're also one of the few candles that actually burn
down. to the bottom of the container.
I would highly recommend buying if you ever get the chance.

4.

LABELLO
Crayon Lip Balm

This was one of two purchases during our strict lockdown and I'm
afraid that will be how I remember this product, that being said I
do love the LABELLO crayons and have two of their 3 shades.
They're so easy to carry around and apply. The colour payoff is
good and a re-purchase of the shade in the photo is on the cards.
My only complaint with this product, would be their poor shade selection
and would love to see more shades on offer.

5.

SIMPLE
WATER BOOST
Micellar Cleansing Water

This was also a purchase from Dubai back in February, and whilst
we do have a small range of SIMPLE products here in South Africa I
don't think we yet have the Water boost range.
As a cheap and cheerful Micellar Water I enjoyed and would re-purchase
and if you would like to read more in my full review click here

6.

GATINEAU
FLORACIL
Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

This was somewhat of a trip down memory lane with this eye make-up
remover and a good one at that.
I loved the product way back then and its still as good as I remember it,
so a re-purchase is definitely on the "Beauty Cards".

RECENT BEAUTY EMPTIES {AUG 18}

After not doing an Empties post for over a year I've managed to
write two in the last five weeks, which officially means I'm on an "Empties" roll...

Here are three skincare products that I've completely finished since my last post
in June, which is always a good sign.
I have popped the links to the original reviews below each product so just
click on the Pink Link to find out all the details.

1.
NIP+FAB
GLYCOLIC FIX
Daily Cleansing Pads

Whilst I enjoyed using these pre-soaked cleansing pads and they were incredibly
convenient in their own pot, I wouldn't re-purchase as the Glycolic acid of 2.8%
is too mild for me, as I have been using The Pixi Glow Tonic 5%,
but as I said in my  full review  these would be great as an introduction
to using a Glycolic acid product.

2.
REN
ROSA CENTIFOLIA
3-IN-1-CLEANSING WATER
Micellar Water

I finished this Micellar Water from the skincare "boffins" REN some time ago
and only recently came across the empty container.
I'm not going to re-purchase, as I just found the Rose fragrance
too much for my eyes and  I have so many other
Micellar Waters on my list that I want to put to the test.

3.
LA ROCHE-POSAY
CICAPLAST
Barrier Repairing Balm

As I said in my  original review I really enjoyed this product
and still do and a re-purchase is on the cards.
I was surprised though at how quickly I used up all of this lip balm and
I had to remind myself that it's only 7.5mls.

Let me know in the comments below if you have used any of these products
and have you re-purchased as I would love to know...

RECENT EMPTIES {OCTOBER 2017}

I don't do too many "empties" posts for no other reason that I often forget
to keep the empty product, in order to do the photo for the blog post,
I'm just too quick to throw the empty into the rubbish bin....

Here are 3 empties that I have managed to save from that same fate.
Click on the pink links below to read my full original reviews.

1.

I bought the Boujois Radiance Reveal Concealer back in March this year
and I always have several concealers on the go at any one time,
depending on what type of concealing I'm needing on the day
 determines which ones I use.
I did enjoy this concealer and would re-purchase it, but at the moment
I have so many that I need to finish before I buy any more, but it's one to
consider if you are looking to
both conceal and give brightening radiance to the under eye area...

2.

I have already replaced the Avène Hydrance Serum with a new one,
as it's become a permanent fixture
in my beauty regime.I think for the price and the benefits it brings to the skin,
this is a serum I can highly recommend...

3.

Being a huge fan of benefit, I was a little unsure about their eye product called
PUFF OFF!
but I soon fell in love and I'm already on my 2nd one and again this
has secured a regular place in my beauty life...

RECENT BEAUTY EMPTIES {JULY 2016}

I have recently just finished or about to finish the products below and thought you may like to get an update on my thoughts!
(Where I have previously reviewed I will include the link to my original post)
Let me know if you have tried any of these products and your thoughts.

1.

The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye has finally come to an end.
I know I only apply once a day, but it seems to have been a never ending product.
I put this down to the needle point nozzle ,as it really cuts out un-necessary wastage.
Based on its effectiveness and value for money I will definitely be repurchasing this little blue tardis tube of eye recovery concentrate.
(Updated price R475)

2.

This product from Avène was literally a "lip saver" during my trip to a
cold and rainy UK back in April.
The whole family got in on the scene, as I seemed to be in and out of my bag so many times on the first day of our visit, that I soon re housed it in my coat pocket for quick and regular application.
You could say it was extensively shared by all, hence why it's nearly empty and without question we all gave it a huge thumbs up and a re-purchase is on the cards.

3.

I haven't posted a review on these Roses & Reines Bath Salts from L'Occitane, as I think they've possibly been discontinued here in South Africa, but they could still be available in other markets.
If you are a lover of all things "Roses" then L'Occitane is a brand you must certainly check out, as they produce the best Rose products.
The Bath Salts are enriched with Rose water and dissolve in warm bath water, to soften the skin.Whilst they leave skin delicately scented, your bathroom is intensely fragranced with a beautiful floral fragrance that combines extracts of Roses from Grasse, Bulgaria, Morocco and Turkey with a unique Rose extract from Haute-Provence.
It's pure Rose bliss!
