For this post I have literally taken my favourite 12 skincare products 

that I have tried and tested during 2020 and they're ones that I 

highly, highly recommend if you are looking for skincare recommendations.

Every year the selection of my fave products varies tremendously, however

 during 2020 my choices have been fairly well balanced, as I seem to have

a good mix of cleansing products/exfoliators/face masks/moisturisers 

and eye products.

By my own admission I've had a couple of regrets in 2020

re certain products that I wished I had tried earlier

and the BIODERMA Micelle Water was one of them. 

This pioneer product in terms of Micellar Waters, celebrated its 25th Birthday

 in 2020 and that's how long it has taken me to give this now iconic beauty 

product a try and it has been my loss.

I have found myself reaching for this one, more often than any other 

I have used, as it's so easy to pick up and cleanse my skin in the morning 

and again as a first cleanse in the evening.

This is a must have product in your beauty routine, as it truly outshines

or should I say Out Cleanses the rest.

I've never been one to get too hyped up about those "Hyped Up" beauty 

products, as often the product reviews and endorsements are paid 

for and sometimes 

are not a true reflection of the product. However this is not the case with the

 Cleansing Gel from the UK brand OSKIA.

Formulated to purify, revitalise and strengthen the skin, 

the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is a unique illuminating gel-to-oil facial cleanser, 

that works effortlessly to remove makeup and impurities and can

 be used on all skin types.

If you are a fan of gel cleansers then you will no doubt enjoy the OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel, as it's a hard working cleanser that just gets on 

with the job at hand, without leaving your skin feeling or looking like its 

had a workout and I'm now officially a FAN...

Being the first product that I'm trying from the French skincare brand SVR

was a peeling treatment and it got me excited.

This micro-peeling creamy foam is a cocktail of wonderful active ingredients 

to awaken any dull, tired skin and boost the skins radiance. 

I have been reaching for this foaming beauty every time, as it

delivers on all that it claims.

It's quick, pleasurable to use and leaves the skin looking brighter, smoother

and comfortable, which isn't always the case post exfoliation.

So if you are looking to change up your exfoliating product, with the

emphasis on radiance then this is one, without doubt, to consider.

*During 2020 this product had a packaging/name & formulation overhaul

and whilst this is the older version on the product, I am hoping to

try the new formulation this year and then write my review on the newer one,

but for now this version was one of my top 12 "faves" 2020.

 I am assured that the product remains very similar, just more effective*

As you should all know by now exfoliation is a key product to a good, 

effective anti-ageing skincare routine.

This was another 1st for me in 2020 and this product came highly recommended

by Tori from KissBlush&Tell.

EXUVIANCE hails from the US and their 

Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish is a completely 

innovative exfoliator that masters a triple-action approach 

to skin transformation in a single yet powerful treatment. 

It contains a unique blend of physical, chemical and enzyme rejuvenators. 

Again highly recommend if you want to take home exfoliation up a notch.

LUMENE is a Finnish brand and having only ever used 3 of their

products I find myself including 2 on my Top 12 list and unfortunately

the third appeared on my Top 3 Disappointing list To view that list

However thats not deterred me from hopefully using and reviewing more

 products in the future.

I have completed fallen in love with this cream that

absolutely delivers on all it promises and I would go as far to say that this

super hydrating moisturiser is one of, if not, the best hydrating products 

I have ever tried and it's been a real bonus in 

my skincare regime and my skin has responded well to it.

SECRET OF SAHARA

GLOW AWAKENING CREAM

This was another brand/product that Tori from KissBlush&Tell raved about

and my 1st Korean skincare product to try, yes I was late to the Korean 

Beauty party also...

The Secret Sahara range has been formulated to be rich in antioxidants that moisturise and brighten dull, lack lustre, stressed skins, whilst offering 

protection from pollution and the 

Glow Awakening Cream appears to be the star of the show.

Truthfully this cream didn't WoW me on the glow factor front as much as

 I thought it would, but it does give the skin a dewy appearance which I liked.

I've thoroughly enjoyed applying it as part of my morning routine, as it's just

 one of those comfortable, reliable, all round everyday, well priced moisturisers

 and as my first K Beauty product, I'm happy I dipped my toe 

into the Korean waters and I think I may be dipping more toes into the water.

I would, without hesitation recommend this cream and re-purchase 

it again myself...

SOOTHING RADIANCE 

MASK

Having used the French skincare brand Avène since it was first launched in 

South Africa I cannot believe this Soothing Radiance Mask has escaped my attention.

I'm so glad that I've finally discovered it and it's a mask that I highly recommend

as a must have face mask in your masking collection.

It's a non drying true moisture bath that leaves your skin refreshed, 

calm and comforted. Ideal for application post peels, after sunburn, if your skin feels tight, 

irritated, or just simply dehydrated and dull.

FOUNDATION

This was a first for me as, it was the first time using anything from this

cutting edge of high-performance, age-defying American skin care brand

ZELENS and I was blown away.

This next generation, reviving treatment foundation helps reduce signs of stress

 and fatigue while creating a perfectly smooth, even-toned complexion 

with a glowing finish.

Even though I only reviewed this product from a sample I already have it on

my wish list.

Exfoliating products are my beauty "thing" and this one did not disappoint 

and its become one of my favourite exfoliators of all time.

NORDIC HYDRA

INTENSE 24H MOISTURISER

LUMENE from Finland is a brand that I have been soo enjoying and I

will be discovering more of in the future, but sadly it's not available in

South Africa.

This delightful clean fresh fragranced cream is light, almost soufflé like, 

quick absorbing and intensely hydrating from the very first application.

LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA INTENSE 24H MOISTURIZER {REVIEW}

This 24H Intense Moisturiser came from the Finnish skincare brand LUMENE and formed 

part of a gift set that contained 3 deep hydrating products from their 

NORDIC HYDRA collection.

Being the 3rd product from LUMENE that I'm putting to the test and initially all of the products appealed to me greatly, hence why I bought the set, but sadly only two of the three products have been a hit with me...

After having experienced one huge success, that I adore and then one that was a complete and utter fail,I really wasn't too sure what to expect from the 
NORDIC HYDRA 24H Intense Moisturiser. 

I needn't have worried, as I have completed fallen in love with this cream that
absolutely delivers on all it promises and I would go as far to say that this
super hydrating moisturiser is one of, if not, the best hydrating products 
I have ever tried.

The delightful clean fresh fragranced cream is light, almost soufflé like, quick absorbing and intensely hydrating from the very first application.
As with all LUMENE products it contains Pure Arctic Spring Water to promote
 a healthy-looking complexion, whilst replenishing Organic Nordic Birch Sap and the Hydra-Technology, support continuous hydration throughout the day.

It's this continuous hydration that has impressed me the most, as my normal/dry
skin felt more than comfortable and soft throughout the whole day and even though I didn't put it to the 24H test, I have no doubt that it would continue to perform well.

This product has already been added to my list of Top 10 Skincare Products  for 2020and I will be very disappointed when this product finishes, as it's been a real bonus in 
my skincare regime and my skin has responded well.
 I would love to explore more of this reasonable priced skincare brand that hails from colds of Finland.

LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA MOISTURE PLUMP LIP BALM {REVIEW}

This Lip Balm from the Finnish skincare brand LUMENE came as part of a

gift set that contained 3 deep hydrating products from their 

NORDIC HYDRA collection.

LUMENE is a 100% natural, vegan 

and cruelty free skincare brand.

 Whilst I'm currently reviewing the day moisturiser, so that review will only be posted 

in a few weeks time, I have already posted my review on the  

LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA Aerating Gel Mask, which I highly recommend for 

dehydrated skins, in fact any skin type can benefit greatly from this mask.

I ordered this gift set from the UK Beauty & Cosmetics Feelunique website 

towards the end of 2019 and my UK Kiddie-wink kindly brought it out for me 

in the December holidays. 

 This selection of products really appealed to me as it contained both a 

full size hydrating moisturiser and a lip balm and as you may already know

I'm a full on lip balm addict.

This balm has been formulated to help lips appear naturally plumped and smooth

 and is enriched with Nordic algae, as are all of the products in the Nordic Hydra range and this provides intense moisturization and protection for continuous hydration.

This is a good performing Lip Balm with a lubricating formula, that was not too 

dissimilar to good old vaseline, but sadly I wasn't a fan and it wasn't due

to any poor performance of the lip balm or even the texture, 

it was the smell and taste, which was a rather bitter and chemical

 and not pleasant at all.

I was rather disappointed as I loved their aerating gel mask, but just a heads up

as all is not lost, the LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA 24H MOISTURISER 

that I'm currently using is proving to be one of the best hydrating moisturisers

I have ever used and coming from me that's something!

LUMENE is a brand that's not only well priced, but on my skin very effective.

I really do hope I can get my hands on some 

more of their products in the future, but due to COVID 19 it's looking rather

doubtful...

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {MAY2020}

Another month and another post to let you know what products will be under 

review during the month of May. Despite the lockdown due to the Coronvirus

It feels as though the days and weeks are merging into one and passing way quicker

 than I would have ever thought.

I have a two brands under the spotlight this month with a luxurious bathing duo 

 from RITUALS and a couple of products that were part of this gift set, that I've had

 since December, which contains an intense hydrating 24hr moisturiser and a Lip Balm

 from the Icelandic skincare brand LUMENE.

I've been looking forward to opening this

LUMENE NORDIC HYDRA 24H MOISTURISER

since I received this gift pack back in early December.

I have already reviewed the HYDRA AERATING GEL MASK and absolutely loved it,

hence my excitement to get started with this moisturise from the same range.

I don't need much encouragement to buy Foam Baths or anything to do with bathing

to be honest and this from 

RITUALS : THE RITUAL OF AYURVEDA BATH FOAM 

was no exception.

I bought it on the strength of my love for their Hand Balm from the same range.

I find the fragrance combo of the Indian Rose, Himalayan Honey and Sweet Almond

just too divine.

I couldn't resist purchasing the matching candle, which also satisfied my love of 

beautiful scented candles

I'm sure will guarantee, along with the Bath Foam, a blissful, relaxing and indulgent

bathtime and I can't wait.
