RITUALS RITUAL OF HAMMAM DEEPLY PURIFYING HOT BODY SCRUB {REVIEW}

Sadly RITUALS isn't available in South Africa and I really
wished it was, as its a beautiful collection of Wellness products and in
their own words
"We're not here to sell you beauty,
we are here to make you feel good."

If you have ever been into a RITUALS Boutique, any where in the world,
you will know how beautiful they are and you cannot help but feel good
and this applies to all of the RITUALS products that I have tried to date.

I will be reviewing several more RITUALS products in 2023 as I
have one of their beautiful Advent Calendars, which will enable me
to indulge in more of their RITUALS.

The Hammam is one of the oldest cleansing traditions in the world.
This steam bath experience from the East purifies both body and soul.
This ancient custom inspired RITUALS to create a modern
Hammam collection for your home.
Today I'm reviewing...

The RITUAL of HAMMAM Hot Body Scrub
Wake up your body and your senses with the ultimate purifying
scrub experience.
This 94% natural origin and nourishing oil-based body scrub
contains coarse sea salt crystals for thorough yet gentle exfoliation.
The salt crystal particles remain intact when massaged onto the skin,
resulting in even softer, smoother and nourished skin.

A rich eucalyptus oil blend with actual eucalyptus leaves is added
for a stimulating and refreshing effect on the body and your mind.
Eucalyptus is also well known as a natural antiseptic with anti-viral,
 anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties.
Your body feels super soft and refreshed afterwards and is left with
a wonderful warm sensation that can immediately help to
 reduce tiredness.

This scrub with 94% ingredients of natural origin is carefully curated
 to benefit your skin optimally.
The remaining 6% are clean and conscious lab-made ingredients
which support the integrity and safety of our formulations.

Massage the body scrub into damp skin.
Rinse off with warm water.
For best results, use 1-2 a week

WOW!
this body scrub is possibly the best that I have ever reviewed
and I've reviewed many.
If you would like to read which my current faves are
It's just how I love a body scrub to be, it has coarse salts that
really polish the skin, without stripping or damaging your
skin barrier, it smells divine and an added bonus with this one,
it has that slight warming feel on the skin.

I highly recommend this product if, like me, you enjoy a
corse salt scrub, one that you can feel working on your skin to
reveal a softer and smoother skin.

* I think this product may have had a name change depending on
which market you are purchasing in *

RITUALS - THE RITUAL OF AYURVEDA FOAM BATH AND SCENTED CANDLE {REVIEW}

 RITUALS
hails from the Netherlands and has a strong brand presence in Europe,
but sadly it's not available here in SA.
Despite seeing their beautiful stores on my travels I have never experienced
any of their Health & Wellbeing products.
Happily I was first introduced to RITUALS via a full size Hand Balm that was actually
a free gift with a one of the U.K. magazines that I picked up during one of my visits
and I couldn't have picked a better introduction to the brand.

The Ritual of Ayurveda collection of well being products is not only packaged in a
beautiful deep red colour, but it also has the fragrance of
Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil, which immediately won me over, as its just divine.
I adored the fragrance and the product so much that it piqued my interest
and more of this collection was added to my UK Beauty Shopping List
and luckily this past Christmas three more products were added to my collection.

Inspired by the ancient Indian wisdom of Ayurveda or “science of life,” the collection is characterised by a delicate fragrance of Indian rose with Himalaya honey
and sweet almond oil.
‘The Ritual of Ayurveda’ is intended to boost the mood of those using it and
I can vouch that my mood is, without question, boosted whilst using any of the
4 products that I now own.

I do not...in any way apologise for loving a good luxury fragranced candle
and foam bath and RITUALS indulged me on both counts.
As I've mentioned several times on my blog, my complete and utter luxurious
place of calm is without doubt my bath, where I light my fragrant candles and wallow
in deep scented bubbles and relax, its my place of sanctuary and always has been,
hence why I couldn't refrain from ordering the
Bath Foam and the Scented Candle...

Balanced living is the principle behind Ayurveda, the science of life. This ancient wisdom from India helps you to improve health and well being by cleansing and nourishing your energy.
The Ritual of Ayurveda has been carefully designed to support this philosophy
and offers a collection of luxury home and body care products that help
balance your body, mind and soul.

The Foam Bath containing Himalaya Honey, which has been known for its
medicinal properties for centuries softens and moisturisers the skin whilst the fragrance of Indian Rose lulls you into a relaxed, feel good mood.
I found the luxurious bubbles to be long lasting and I have absolutely
no issues with this foam bath at all, other than I'm already concerned as to
how and when I can replenish stocks...

Based on authentic Ayurveda ingredients of Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil
this candle burns for up to 50 hours.
There are many more products within the Ritual of Ayurveda, but I've got my eye on the Reed Diffuser,Hand scrub,Hand Wash and Body Scrub...

RITUALS RITUAL OF AYURVEDA RECOVERY HAND BALM {REVIEW}

Thanks once again to my

 RITUALS
Advent Calendar 2022 for another great product find.
My absolute favourite RITUAL is the Ritual Of Ayurveda and I just
cannot get enough of the beautiful combination of
 Indian Rose and Sweet Almond
that evoke positive feelings and boost your mood.

On the hand cream front I have reviewed previously their
Ritual Of Ayurveda Hand Lotion,
which, by the way is my favourite
hand cream of all time, so I'm hoping that this
Ritual of Ayurveda Recovery Hand balm
is just as good if not even better.

This luxurious hand balm has been specially developed to soften and
 moisturise dry hands.
Enriched with softening sweet almond oil and soothing Indian rose,
your hands will feel nourished and silky soft.
The rich and luxurious hand balm sinks in the skin easily, so you can easily
use it at any moment of the day.

This hand balm for dry hands with 98% ingredients of natural origin is
carefully curated to benefit your skin optimally.
The remaining 2% are clean & conscious lab-made ingredients which
support the integrity and safety of our formulations.

This is without doubt another beautiful hand cream and I would
hate to recommend this one over the Soothing Hand Balm,
so my recommendation is that you try both and then make
your own decision, as you really cannot go wrong with either.

THE RITUAL OF SAKURA SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER {REVIEW}

I've been enjoying several products from
RITUALS - The Ritual of Ayurveda
for a couple of years now and I've secretly longed for one of their
beautiful advent calendars, finally in 2022 I made it happen
and it certainly did not disappoint in any way.
Containing 24 assorted products it really allows you to get to try
a variety of what RITUALS has to offer,
both the Ritual of Sakura 50ml Shampoo & 50ml Conditioner was
part of the calendar and whilst they wouldn't be two products
that I would have personally bought it was lovely to try the combo.

The 2 key
ingredients of the Ritual of Sakura:

CHERRY BLOSSOM
For the Japanese, Cherry Blossom has symbolised the rebirth of nature
and purity since ancient times.
The delicate fragrance is wonderfully relaxing.

RICE MILK
Throughout Asia, rice is a symbol of abundance, happiness, and fertility.
Rice Milk extract makes your skin soft and supple, and gives it a healthy glow.

Both products are infused with wheat protein and chia seed for protection
and a volume boost, without build-up or extra weight and rice extract
and macadamia seed oil to help restore your hair’s moisture balance
and strengthen it.

SAKURA SHAMPOO
The Ritual of Sakura nourishing shampoo offers brilliantly healthy,
shiny and voluminous locks from root to tip.
• volumising
• 90% natural origin, 10% lab made to ensure product texture and stability.
• mild for your hair and scalp

SAKURA CONDITIONER
Nourishing and detangling, this conditioner is suitable for everyday use
and for all hair types, but it works especially well on dull or fine locks.
• volumising
• 93% natural origin, 7% lab made to ensure product texture and stability.
• mild for your hair and scalp

Both products are delicately fragranced with a combination
of Cherry Blossom and Rice Milk, which was very pleasant.
The shampoo had a luxurious feel creamy texture and cleaned my hair well,
whilst the conditioner also did a good job of nourishing and detangling
without overloading my locks.

Whilst this was a lovely combo, but it wasn't anything remarkable,
so I won't be looking for a "Cosmetic Mule" to bring these two hair products
to me here in South Africa (we don't have Rituals in SA)
That being said if you are a fan of all of the products in
The Ritual of Sakura, and it's an extensive range,
then this duo will enhance your overall feeling a wellbeing,
relaxation and calm.

RITUALS AYURVEDA NOURISHING RICH BODY OIL {REVIEW}

My favourite range from RITUALS is the Ritual of Ayurveda
and this passed week I have been indulging myself in a
30ml deluxe sample size that was in my 2022 Advent Calendar.

The Ritual Of Ayurveda
Nourishing Rich Body Oil

As a reminder this range is one of Rituals Classic collection
and for me smells divine, the 2 core ingredients are

INDIAN ROSE
As a universal symbol of purity and love, the sweet and delicate aroma
of the rose evokes positive feelings.
Its aroma also has soothing properties.
It is all you need to boost your mood! The refined aroma of Indian Rose
also has a positive effect on your skin!

SWEET ALMOND
Sweet Almond helps to exfoliate and polish the skin gently.
It's known for several skin benefits; it helps soften, deeply nourish
 and promote healthy skin.

The luxurious formula contains three Ayurvedic oils which are especially
well-known for their intensely nourishing benefits,
such as nourishing sweet almond oil, moringa oil for its anti-inflammatory
 properties and hydrating coconut oil.
The rich body oil offers deep and instant hydration and keeps the skin soft
and protected.
It's perfect if you've got very dry skin.

~~~~~~
Warm the oil between your hands and gently massage the rich formula
 onto your body.
This rich body oil contains 97% ingredients of natural origin.
~~~~~~

Some time back I reviewed the Ritual Of Ayurveda Dry Oil
and only gave it a 5/10 on my Quickie Product Review, so I was
a little concerned that I may not enjoy this body oil either,
but the 2 products couldn't be more different.

As the name suggests this oil is rich, very rich and a little is all
that's needed for skin to be left feeling incredibly nourished and the
fragrance is magnified as the oil warms on your body, so if like me you
want all the Indian Rose and Sweet Almond scent you can get,
 then this product has it.

With hindsight February and temperatures of 30c+ maybe wasn't
the ideal time to review a rich body oil, but I can tell from my
weeks trial that this will be the saviour of many winter dry skins,
so bring on Winter.....

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {MARCH}

I'm a little late with this post, as we are now on the 5th March,
however that doesn't mean to say that I've don't have
anything exciting to review over the coming weeks and months.
I have 3 skincare and 1 make-up item to try out
and report back to you with my findings.

1.

FENTY BEAUTY
GLOSS BOMB
UNIVERSAL
LIP LUMINIZER

I'm excited to try this luminizing, conditioning, super shiny
lip gloss in Rihanna's handpicked shade
FENTY GLOW
which she says is a "perfect rose nude" and you can be
sure that I will review this thoroughly, as it makes some
serious claims for a lip gloss.

2.

RITUALS
RITUAL OF AYURVEDA
RECOVERY HAND BALM

I must be the biggest fan of RITUALS products here in South Africa
and it's a real pity that we don't have the brand, as I
believe it would do very well here.
I do know that many of my South African readers travel overseas
and in fact many of you follow from countries where RITUALS is
easily available and you also share my love for all things
RITUALS.
To read my previous reviews Click here
My favourite ritual is the RITUAL OF AYURVEDA and since I
rate their Smoothing Hand Cream I wanted to try their
Recovery Hand Balm.

3.

SHISEIDO
VITAL PERFECTION
INTENSIVE WRINKLESPOT TREATMENT

This will be my first SHISEIDO skincare product that I am trying
and it's a brand that I know very little about, so this
means some research along with putting this multi-use spot treatment
 to visibly improve
deep wrinkles & dark spots in just 4 weeks.* to the test.

4.

AVÈNE
CICALFATE+
PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL

I do love reviewing any AVÈNE product as they very rarely
disappoint and it's my safe, gentle and calming "go to" for skincare.
This cleansing gel was recently launched and I'm intrigued, its been
formulated to cleanse the
Face,Hands,Body and external intimate areas.

2 April 2023

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {APRIL 2023}

I have 4 more beauty products to review for you this month and
they're from some of my favourite and well reviewed brands.
AVÈNE, RITUALS and BY TERRY feature on my blog often,
lets re-phrase that to very often...
If you would like to catch up on reviews from these brands then
click on the Pink Links below.

L-R

1.
BY TERRY
HYALURONIC
HYDRA-POWDER

In my younger years I always set my make-up with a loose
face powder, however for the past 15 years or so face powder was
dropped from my make-up routine and to be honest I haven't
missed it.
That being said, if I were going to re-introduce one it would
be this one from BY TERRY.
This full size product was part of one of the COSMETIPS Beauty Edit,
so I'm excited to try it out and report back to you with my views.

2.
AVÈNE
DERMABSOLU
RECONTOURING MASK

This is a new launch from AVÈNE and I do love a face mask and
the DERMABSLU is a collection of anti-aging products aimed at the
 more mature of us.
It promises to give the skin an immediate fresh and tightening effect,
so it's another product that I'm enthusiastic to review and
report back to you about.

3.
REN
PERFECT CANVAS
CLEAN JELLY
OIL CLEANSER

I have reviewed several REN products over the years, as I was on
their PR list, but sadly I've not been for a couple of years now,
and to be honest I have had other brands and products that
have either been gifted or I have bought myself that have
intrigued me more.
However this full size product was included in one of
my COSMETIPS Influencer beauty edits.
I was a huge fan of their Perfect Canvas Serum, so I'm
curious to see how I enjoy this cleanser.

4.
RITUALS
REPAIR
LIP BALM

Part of my 2022 RITUALS Advent Calendar and I couldn't be more
excited to experience another Lip Balm and you all know
how much I love a good Lip Balm.

UK BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDARS {2019}

Huge excitement for me...
as most of the cosmetics companies, department stores and online beauty retailers have announced their Beauty Advent Calendar offerings for 2019 and there are even more than last year, which makes deciding which to opt for even more difficult.

Some of the most iconic "Lust Have" Beauty Advent Calendars are often the most
expensive  and I wouldn't say no to any of these, but alas funds are limited.

Harrods £250 (Value £600)
Liberty £215 (Value £600)
Fortnum & Mason £195 (Value £750)
Diptyque £320
Penhaligons £350
NET-A-PORTER £225 (Value £790)

Last year I was lucky to have two multi brand calendars one from Marks & Spencer
 & the other from FeelUnique.
I'm like a kid in a candy store,as I just love receiving a beauty treat every day for
25 days and even though I say it myself "I chose wisely" in 2018,
so the pressure is on...

I personally prefer a multi brand calendar, as it allows you to experience a wide variety of
brands as well as products that can range from nail products to make-up, skincare, body products and even hair care and I just love trying new brands.
I also prefer to buy 2 mid price ranged calendars rather than one expensive one.
What that means is, I get to open 2 doors everyday and that means double
the daily pleasure.

Below are my top picks of mid price range calendars that I'm looking to buy
(I leave tomorrow for the UK)
however my choice is narrowed even further, as some only get launched after I return to South Africa.
Luckily I have family, visiting at Christmas, so they may be called upon to be
 my "beauty mules", yet again.

ELEMIS
25 Days of Beauty
£165
Value £339.55

Considering I'm a skincare junkie and this year I have purchased several ELEMIS products, this luxurious Advent Calendar appeals to me hugely, as its filled with
25 skincare surprises.
