BUBBLE BATH DAY - 8th JANUARY

Did you know that it's Bubble Bath Day on Friday 8th of January?

 No neither did I,but what I do know is that every day, in my eyes,
is a Bubble Bath Day and I don't need a special day to celebrate it. Bubble Baths, Foam Baths and even Bath Salts are my thing!
I love the whole ritual and throw some candles into the mix (not literally into the bath) and I'm in paradise.

So I thought I would share a few of my "faves" with you.

My all time, best Foam Bath is an easy choice, it's the relaxing
L'Occitane Lavender Foam Bath
I have used this foam bath for many years and what's great is they do a money saving refill.
It's not only highly fragranced, but it's also "big" on the bubble front and I mean plentiful, long lasting luxurious bubbles to just wallow and relax in.
Its my relaxing foam bath heaven.....

L'Occitane Lavender Foam Bath and refill

Another L'Occitane bath product that I enjoy is the
Roses et Reines Bath Salts,
 a sprinkling in your bath water literally fragrances the whole bathroom with the aroma of beautiful roses.
There are no bubbles with this one, but the scent more than makes up for it.
 (If I'm not mistaken these Bath Salts could currently be part of their Summer Sale)

You have to agree that L'Occitane have the best selection of bath products of any brand, which also include products such as Bath Pebbles and Bath Fizzers and I personally love them all.

L'Occitane Roses et Reines Bath Salts

Another great collection of more affordable bath products is my "go to" South African brand
  RAIN AFRICA
I have reviewed so many of their offerings, but I have recently been loving the
Cape Malva Body & Bath Oil
from the Aloe & Avocado range.
It's a dual purpose oil that can be used both directly onto the body or pour into the bath to enjoy the many benefits from the essential oils of Sweet Almond, Sweet Orange, Neroli and Cape Malva to name just a few.

RAIN Cape Malva Body and Bath Oil

Hand Made RAIN Earth Eggs
are a must try and can be bought individually or in an egg box of six, but you do get to choose the assortment of seed and petal encrusted fizz balls (eggs actually)
that fizz away to reveal fragrant essential oils and moisturizing cocoa butter.
The rose is my personal favourite, as it doesn't get more luxurious than enjoying a beneficial soak in a soothing bath surrounded by floating rose petals.

Let me know if you have any favourites that you think I should try, as I am always on the look out for new bath "goodies".
L'Occitane are currently running their summer sale so be sure and visit soon and scoop some of their wonderful bath products.

AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES DE-STRESS MUSCLE BATH & SHOWER OIL {REVIEW}

Bath or Shower?
I'm 110% in the Bath camp and I cannot stress how much my
bathing ritual is my absolute "Happy Place".
I have to admit though, my water is often too hot, my bubbles and candles
 are too many, but all combined it makes for my perfect relaxing setting
and I love it.
I am known to "spend money" when it comes to candles and bath products
and I don't apologise for it...
In my 2021 Beauty Advent Calendar from John Lewis this was
THE product, over several others, that convinced me to buy the calendar.
It was also a full size, what more could I ask for...

AROMOTHERAPY ASSOCIATES
DE-STRESS MUSCLE BATH & SHOWER OIL

Despite having nearly bought it on several occasions I just couldn't
bring myself to splurge on this ultimate award winning bath product.

Here is some background on the
AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES brand

They've been sharing the therapeutic powers of essential oils for over 30 years.
Starting out as therapists in the early 1970s, the founders,
Geraldine Howard and Sue Beechey
 connected with the emerging practice of aromatherapy.
 They experienced first-hand the powerfully positive effects of essential oils
on our physical and emotional wellbeing and it
began a love affair with aromatherapy.
In 1985, Geraldine and Sue's passion for teaching, practicing and blending
oils spilled into a desire to share the benefits of aromatherapy with a wider audience. Aromatherapy Associates was born with a small range
of therapeutic-grade products and treatments.
Fast forward to the 21st century.
They continue to celebrate and share the wonders and benefits of
essential oils
 with an ever-growing range of award-winning products and transformative treatments that can be found all over the world.

The healing properties of therapeutic Rosemary, warming Ginger and
 invigorating Black Pepper are especially blended to ease tired limbs.
Immerse lack-lustre, fatigued or over-exerted muscles in the warming
 and soothing essential oils of the
De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil.
There is a slight difference with this oil as it
is applied directly to the body and not poured into the bath.
Infused with up to 30% pure essential oil blends, just one capful of
 Bath & Shower Oil provides a truly therapeutic experience.
Bring a little therapy to a bathing experience by massaging this oil all over
 your lower back & torso prior to stepping into a warm bath or shower.
Enhance the aromatherapy benefits by cupping your hands to your face
and inhaling deeply several times.
 Apparently one bottle will provide you with up to 20 muscle soothing
 bathing experiences.
I'm not too sure that mine will last for 20, but I'll report back.

*Please note
this product is not suitable for during pregnancy or breastfeeding*

What can I say other than this oil is
pure pampering bliss
It relaxes and eases tension, whilst stimulating circulation all at the same time
 and of course it smells divine, leaves the skin feeling amazing
and with so many other products in the collection,
this has ignited a passion for AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES
and I want more...

AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES DE-STRESS MUSCLE BATH & SHOWER OIL #TBT REVIEW

I have been rather precious
with this bath product and contrary
to what I normally advocate, I have been keeping this beautiful
oil for use on special occasions only, as I'm not sure when I will be
able to get my hands on more...
However that doesn't alter
anything that I wrote in my original review a year ago.
ENJOY!

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {DECEMBER 2021}

Hello to the last "Currently Under Review" post of 2021
and as in previous years, the time from September to the beginning
of December has just flown by and this year has been no different.
Today I have 4 products that will be under review during December
and beyond.
I have an eye cream that I'm really expecting great results from,
no pressure StriVectin, another of the Clarins Bath & Shower Concentrates
and finally two newly launched hair products from INOAR.

L-R

STRIVECTIN
ANTI WRINKLE
INTENSIVE CONCENTRATE
PLUS

I recently unboxed a beauty edit box (over on IG) from Harpers Bazaar
and I've been waiting to get my hands on this box of skincare goodies
 for over a year and yesterday was that day.
This was one of the products that enticed me to purchase the box.
Expertly formulated to deliver results all around the eyes, even on stubborn
 eleven lines between brows, reducing the look of crow’s feet,
under-eye lines, puffiness and dark circles.

CLARINS
TONIC
BATH & SHOWER GEL
CONCENTRATE

I'm currently re-visting the Clarins bath products and last month I
posted a review on the same product but in the RELAX version
Both of the Relax & Tonic versions were around from the beginning of
Clarins and over the years they have both been tweaked and I
loved them both way back then and I'm hoping I enjoy the Tonic
as much as I did the Relax.

INOAR
+AMOR -SODIO
SHAMPOO AND TREATMENT MASK

INOAR has just launched the +Amor -Sodio, a revolutionary range of a
sulphate free products and I was kindly sent both products to review for you.
 This combination substitutes sodium and cleanses the scalp, providing a more healthier, soft, shiny and loose hair.
 It works particularly well on all DRY hair types, including chemically treated
 and curly hair types.

RITUALS - THE RITUAL OF AYURVEDA FOAM BATH AND SCENTED CANDLE {REVIEW}

 RITUALS
hails from the Netherlands and has a strong brand presence in Europe,
 but sadly it's not available here in SA.
Despite seeing their beautiful stores on my travels I have never experienced
 any of their Health & Wellbeing products.
Happily I was first introduced to RITUALS via a full size Hand Balm that was actually
a free gift with a one of the U.K. magazines that I picked up during one of my visits
 and I couldn't have picked a better introduction to the brand.

The Ritual of Ayurveda collection of well being products is not only packaged in a
 beautiful deep red colour, but it also has the fragrance of
Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil, which immediately won me over, as its just divine.
I adored the fragrance and the product so much that it piqued my interest
 and more of this collection was added to my UK Beauty Shopping List
 and luckily this past Christmas three more products were added to my collection.

Inspired by the ancient Indian wisdom of Ayurveda or “science of life,” the collection is characterised by a delicate fragrance of Indian rose with Himalaya honey
and sweet almond oil.
‘The Ritual of Ayurveda’ is intended to boost the mood of those using it and
I can vouch that my mood is, without question, boosted whilst using any of the
4 products that I now own.

I do not...in any way apologise for loving a good luxury fragranced candle
and foam bath and RITUALS indulged me on both counts.
As I've mentioned several times on my blog, my complete and utter luxurious
place of calm is without doubt my bath, where I light my fragrant candles and wallow
in deep scented bubbles and relax, its my place of sanctuary and always has been,
hence why I couldn't refrain from ordering the
Bath Foam and the Scented Candle...

Balanced living is the principle behind Ayurveda, the science of life. This ancient wisdom from India helps you to improve health and well being by cleansing and nourishing your energy.
The Ritual of Ayurveda has been carefully designed to support this philosophy
and offers a collection of luxury home and body care products that help
 balance your body, mind and soul.

The Foam Bath containing Himalaya Honey, which has been known for its
medicinal properties for centuries softens and moisturisers the skin whilst the fragrance of Indian Rose lulls you into a relaxed, feel good mood.
I found the luxurious bubbles to be long lasting and I have absolutely
no issues with this foam bath at all, other than I'm already concerned as to
how and when I can replenish stocks...

Based on authentic Ayurveda ingredients of Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil
this candle burns for up to 50 hours.
There are many more products within the Ritual of Ayurveda, but I've got my eye on the Reed Diffuser,Hand scrub,Hand Wash and Body Scrub...

BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {SEPTEMBER 2022}

We have arrived at the beginning of September
and this generally means just one thing,
 from herein the rest of the year
just seems to fly by and before we know it Christmas and the Holidays
are upon us.

I have 3 products to review during September and all are from
 French brands that I have previously worked for and obviously still love

 Clarins & L'Occitane

I'm having a trip down memory lane with the one product, as
its been around since the Company began and it was one of my
absolute faves back in the day.
The other is a bath product from a brand that know how to make the
best pamper products and of course it doesn't take long for yet another
Lip Balm to be reviewed.

1.

CLARINS
HYDRA - ESSENTIEL
MOISTURE REPLENISHING
LIP BALM

NOW POSTED *

This is a new try for me and I can't believe that I haven't tried and
reviewed this Lip Balm previously.
I'm planning on taking this on an upcoming holiday and
I'll see how this restorative, hydrating lip balm performs and report
 back, as always, with a full review.
 However I must say that this type of applicator is not my favourite
 for lip balms, who knows I maybe converted so let's wait and see.

2.

CLARINS
TOTAL EYE CONTOUR GEL

NOW POSTED *

As you may have gathered I have recently been buying several Clarins
products online and whilst some were re-purchases, this was a re-visit.
I worked both with Clarins (in salon) and for Clarins (as a rep)
back in the late 1970's and its always held a special place in
my "Beauty Heart".
My first eye product that I ever used in my very early 20's was the
Clarins Blue Eye Gel targeted for puffiness and dark circles
 and I loved it.
I thought they'd discontinued it many years ago, that was until I saw
something similar online and just had to order.
Will the 2022 version on my 1970's Blue Gel for the eyes be anything
as I remember, check back during the next couple of months
to find out.

3.

L'OCCITANE
SHEA BUTTER
COMFORTING FOAM BATH

NOW POSTED *

If you've followed me forever you will know that I adore all things
bubbles for my bath and I do enjoy a good pampering soak.
My favourite all time bath indulgence comes in the form of the
 L'Occitane Lavender Foam Bath and if you haven't tried, then I highly
recommend you do Click here to read my review.
A more recent bubble variation is this Shea Butter Comforting Foam Bath and
again you may know that I really enjoy products containing Shea Butter
and its miraculous skin benefits, so I'm excited to enjoy all that this
foam bath has to offer.

QUICKIE PRODUCT REVIEWS {QPR'S} MAY 2019

Unfortunately I don't have too many products to include in this QPR post,
but I do have two non skincare/make-up items and that doesn't happen too often,
so lets see what I thought....

1.

Brand : WOOLWORTHS
Product : Lemon Verbena Foam Bath
Price : R59.99
Size : 500 mls

I was so excited to see that Woolworths had launched their own range of Vegan body products that are based on Active Ingredients from Nature.
The assortment of products and fragrances is quite extensive and being a longtime lover
of all things Verbena I made a bee line for their Lemon Verbena Foam bath, which is
enriched with botanical extracts, Turmeric and Maca Root Extracts.
All products are free from:
Parabens, added sulphates(SLS & SLES),synthetic colours and they're all
Dermatologically tested.
(This range can be found in the food hall section of Woolworths)

Whilst the packaging of the products is appealing unfortunately I can't say the same for
the contents.
I found the fragrance pay off of this foam bath to be poor initially and soon disappeared completely and the bubbles were poor at least.
However the price is affordable especially for a 500mls bottle, but that's all I can
say positive about this from bath, that I was so hopeful about.

Verdict : 4/10

~~~~~~
2.
Brand : Bath & Body Works
Product : Creamy Luxe Hand Soap
Coconut Mint Drop
Price : AED 42 Normal price (R167)
(I can't remember what I paid but it was less than half price)
Size : 236 mls
Having never tried anything from the USA brand Bath & Body Works I couldn't resist
buying a couple of things from one of their shops in the Dubai.As always the poor South African has to spoil our spending fun, but luck was in my side this time, as I was
shopping on the Black Friday Weekend and I scored...
I bought a couple of their large candles and this Creamy Luxe Hand Soap and I
do love luxury hand soaps.
Not only does this Coconut Mint Drop Hand Soap smell divine, it has a luxurious
creamy feel and the fragrant bubbles reflect just that.
It certainly leaves your hands feeling soft,fragranced and moisturised.
Whilst I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase again, I would most certainly buy again
 if I was  fortunate to be travelling through a country that stocked Bath & body Works.
(Be warned their product range is huge, so allocate plenty of time when you visit a store)
Verdict : 8/10
Let me know in the comments below if you have tried anything from this brand,as I would
 love to know.
