SORBET GET LIPPY MOISTURISING LIP COLOUR #TBT REVIEW

This #tbt review was 1st posted exactly 2 years ago today and I
see that Sorbet have increased their Get Lippy range to 16 shades
and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prices have remained the
same on this product.

~~~~~~
I was initially drawn to this product because of its name,
as LIPPY is a term I use all the time,
so I just had to put this Sorbet GET LIPPY Lipstick to the test.
GET LIPPY Moisturising Lip Colour comes in 12 shades,
which isn't a huge selection,
but I was immediately drawn to my perfect shade - TRUE.
Sorbet also offer Matte Kisses Lipstick (6 Matte shades)
GET LIPPY is a beautiful, easy to wear, natural looking soft pink that
 I'm loving and it's one of those shades that will always find a place in
 my Lipstick wardrobe.
The first thing you will notice about the formula of this lipstick is how easily
 it glides over the lips and considering it's a moisturising lip colour it's
 surprisingly long wearing.
 Both nourishing and moisturising this formula contains coconut, lanolin, sun protection additives and anti-oxidant vitamin E to fight harmful free radicals.
This is now my 2nd Sorbet review this week and the final one will be up
on Sunday and considering my "not so good" review of the
 Face First Ant-Ageing Foundation last year my faith has been re
stored in this brand, as so far we have 2 out of 2 Winners...
MONTHLY FAVOURITES {JULY & AUGUST 2019}
I have been so lucky this year to have been continually reviewing many great products, which makes this list, more and more, difficult to compile.
Here are my standout "faves" from the months of July and August
Don't forget to click on the Pink Links  below to read a more detailed review.
1.
SORBET
GET LIPPY
MOISTURISING LIP COLOUR
I'm so happy to have discovered this lipstick from Sorbet, as not only is it a great
shade on me, but the formula is spot on also.
It's moisturising, glides on beautifully and whilst long wearing and moisturising aren't
often mentioned in the same sentence I was impressed by how long the colour stayed
 on my lips.
2.
SORBET
WAY-OUT LASHES
MASCARA
I reviewed two mascaras over the past couple of months and I've included both of them,
as they're both worthy.
Who doesn't love a good mascara and this one is also from Sorbet and if you
keep your eyes open for their 3 for 2 promos at Clicks, it comes in as a very
affordable mascara.
WAY-OUT LASHES is a lightweight, long wearing, defining mascara with fibres to lengthen and
give you wide-eyed, leggy lash look, so if that sounds like your kind of mascara
then check this one out.
3.
CLARINS
WONDER PERFECT
MASCARA
4D
You really can't go wrong with any product from Clarins and this
Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D
is no exception from this premium French brand and as expected it's a good one.
This really is a do-it-all, all-in-one mascara that curls, defines, lengthens and
 volumizes for that bold wide-eyed look, hence the 4D name.
4.
RITUALS
AYURVEDA
SOOTHING HAND BALM
This was a total surprise love for me, as it was given away as a free gift in an overseas magazine.
Being my first product that I've tried from this Netherlands wellness brand, I was hoping
it would be good, but the fragrance was what won me over.
The Indian Rose and Sweet Almond fragrance is beautifully delicate and floral and combined with a non greasy balm formula it was a winner, so much so that
I now have more of the RITUALS products on my UK Shopping List.
Let me know in the comments below if you agree or disagree with any of my choices
I would love to hear.
SORBET SHIMMER AND GLOW SHIMMER BRONZER {REVIEW}
Today is the final product review of my "Sorbet Week" here on Beauty Shout box and it's on their
Shimmer & Glow Bronzer.
wouldn't normally chose a bronzer over a blusher, but my all time fave bronzer from
Autograph by Marks & Spencer  had hit pan and I was needing a replacement.
They have 2 Bronzing compacts on offer BRONZED BROWN and JUST PEACHY and I went for the
later shade option.
I have been impressed with the packaging of all 3 products that I have reviewed, as they do have a more, up market quality feel and the Bronzer compact with a mirror is the same.
 Bronzers are an instant pick me up for any skin, as the Illuminating particles shimmer and shine to give you a radiance and glow and this one does that particularly well.
The colour pay off on the skin is good and the Sorbet Baked Powder Technology gives a luxurious finish.
The Pearl particles help to capture  the light and create a soft glow, which is always flattering for all, but especially to us "Oldies".
 Always fascinated by the striping on any blusher or bronzer this particular one from Sorbet is beautifully done. Sorbets gentle combination of minerals and corn starch baked in a unique way achieve the glistening striped pattern.
Just sweep across the cheekbones, temples and nose in fact any where the sun would naturally hit the face and as an added bonus this particular bronzer can be used as an eyeshadow making this 2in1 product handy to have.
Over this past week I have reviewed 3 Sorbet make-up items and since my disastrous intro to the Sorbet make-up collection last year, with their foundation ,I've become somewhat of a convert, especially when it comes to the affordable price point, like the Less 30% Clicks currently have running, I would without hesitation recommend all of these
3 core make-up products. as they that can all be picked up for a grand total of
R350 and that's what I call a
"Make-Up Steal"
SORBET WAY-OUT LASHES MASCARA {REVIEW}
SORBET reached out to me recently and asked if they could send me some of their make-up products to try and I have to admit I was rather surprised, as the only product that I have  previously tried from their make-up collection was their rather forgettable
and way overpriced
(I believe this foundation ,that originally retailed for R299, is now retailer for R145
so I'm guessing that they have re structured their pricing to be more affordable
and as I pointed out in my original review above this local foundation price was on a par with some international brands pricing.)
 Sadly this foundation even made it onto my My Top 5 Most Disliked Products 2018, post,
so let's put that aside and see what their
SORBET WAY-OUT LASHES MASCARA
 has to offer.
They have a couple of mascara options depending on your lash needs, but I opted for the Lengthening + Defining mascara.
One of my many criteria for a good mascara is the packaging, as it has to feel weighty, yet nicely balanced in my hand, if it feels light weight or awkward, then it's on the back foot immediately. However I'm glad to report that this passes those initial tests, as it feels quality and not clumsy to apply.
The brush is also a vital component of a mascara and again this passes with flying colours, as the slim silicone brush is super easy to control and you're able to coat individual lashes easily, to easily achieve definition and separate, especially on this lower and outer corner lashes.
The formula is lightweight and long wearing with fibres to give you wide-eyed, leggy lash look, which I love. The carbon black pigments give a jet black finish and it contains vitamin E and natural waxes for conditioning.
It's buildable and after a few coats I found my lashes to look quite defined and definitely lengthened.I also didn't experience any smudging or flaking and it was easy to remove with my usual make-up remover.
I recently compiled My Top 5 Mascaras and to be honest if my list had been My Top 10
then this mascara would have been included.
After a rather disappointing introduction to the Sorbet make-up range, I would without hesitation recommend this mascara and especially at the current special offer price below...It's a winner!
I will also be posting my "take" on a couple of other Sorbet make-up items this week,
so be sure to check back in on Thursday and Sunday.
BEAUTY PRODUCTS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW {AUGUST 2019}
As you will see this months "Currently Under Review" post is a busy one and is rather heavy with make-up items, there's also a nail product from the
Doyenne of "Hands & Feet" in London and it also includes an expensive
hairdryer purchase.
I have been kindly sent 3 make-up items (of my choice) from Sorbet,
so I'm excited to put to use their GET LIPPY Lipstick, WAY-OUT LASHES Mascara
and their SHIMMER & GLOW Shimmer Bronzer,
so check back to find out what I have to say.
SHIMMER & GLOW BRONZER REVIEW
~~~~~~

This will be the 2nd mascara under review this month and I'm excited to
try the latest mascara launch from Clarins with their WONDER PERFECT MASCARA 4D.
I don't think any other mascara offers a 4 Dimensional effect for lashes, so this will be interesting and I look forward to reporting back to you as to whether it really does make a difference or not.

I seem to always be on an never ending mission to find and try either new
Mascaras or new concealers and this month I've already included 2 mascaras and the concealer will be a new one in the form of the
L'Oréal Infallable More Than Concealer
which promises to do it all – conceal, correct, brighten, highlight and contour.
I have high expectations for this concealer, as I'm a huge fan of their
Infallible 24h Fresh Wear Foundation

I had never heard of Margaret Dabbs nail products until earlier this year when my BFF
in the UK raved about several of her products.
"The exclusive range of Margaret Dabbs products offers the perfect fusion of medical and beauty for your hands, feet and legs all combining to create luxurious, highly effective beautifying products".
Knowing that we cannot get here in South Africa, she kindly sent me over her favourite
Margaret Dabbs product the Nail & Cuticle Serum.
Obviously this review will only be posted in a couple of months once I've put the serum to
a good test (I just hope it lasts that long).

This beauty item has been on my "Wish List" for sometime now, alas the price had always
kept it there.
The Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer was by no means an impulse purchase, as I've researched
it long and hard before taking the plunge.
After much price checking, both here and overseas, for once South Africa came out
the cheapest due to a  15% discount from RETAILBOX , which they still have.
(A full review covering 2 blog posts will be up during August)
